My 70-year-old mother, who loves porridge, and I went for weekend lunch. We waited for about 15 minutes before and after, surrounded by women of all ages, both inside and outside the restaurant. The half-and-half porridge and noodles were very filling. The steamed dumplings were freshly made, so the skin didn't tear like frozen ones, and we were able to eat the soup-filled soup dumplings without leaving any behind. I prefer this place over some famous ones. Even though I don't like almond jelly, the one here was easy for me to eat. It has a low almond essence content, which is good for me. The service is quick and the staff are polite. In the midst of many restaurants with sloppy service for weekend lunches in Umeda, this place provided a very pleasant experience.

Visited the Congee Restaurant in Grand Front Osaka. It seems like a relatively new restaurant, maybe opened this year. This time, I ordered the congee and dim sum set. It's not labeled as afternoon tea, but it's like a large steamer, a small steamer, and a tea set. I chose the strawberry congee from the three options available. I thought it would be sweet, but it had a strong strawberry aroma and acidity, not too sweet. Other items included fried bread, sesame balls, bamboo chicken, beans, and almond tofu. The small steamer had vegetables, shrimp, and xiaolongbao dim sum. The style is small portions but plenty of variety, and surprisingly filling. Although I didn't order it this time, you can apparently upgrade the tea to flower tea for an additional fee. #CongeeRestaurant #GrandFront #congee #OsakaLunch #UmedaLunch #UmedaDinner #OsakaDinner #dimsum #almondtofu #strawberrycongee #sweettooth #Chinese #afternoontea #foodie

On weekends, most restaurants in Umeda are very crowded for lunch, but we were able to get in with just a short wait here. The basic set seems to include either congee or noodles with dim sum and almond jelly. I wanted to try both, so I chose the half and half option. It cost 1,600 yen including tax. The congee I had was the most popular steamed chicken and myoga congee, and for the noodles, I chose the tantanmen. It might not be spicy enough for those who like really spicy food, but for someone like me who isn't a fan of spicy food, it was just right. If you want a larger portion, it might be better to go for the congee and noodle set, or the noodle and congee set. The dim sum included xiaolongbao and two other items. The xiaolongbao was piping hot and delicious!

I happened to pass by and decided to go in!! I ordered the half & half menu and enjoyed both the congee and noodles, which was great! The tantanmen wasn't too spicy, so even people who don't like spicy food could probably eat it. The congee is easy to eat even when your stomach isn't feeling well. I recommend it.

I want to eat something gentle for dinner. I found it! Porridge! I'm so happy. The taste is perfect. It's not bland, but gentle. I'm satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

There was a restaurant in Grand Front Osaka that served porridge and noodles. I tried the shrimp dumpling porridge set, and it was delicious. The porridge was gentle, and the dim sum in the set was also tasty. It came with almond jelly as well.
