On a certain day in July 2019, first day in Hakata, 3rd night spot with a senpai, the night is still going on. When trying to discuss the candidates for the 3rd spot, senpai said, "I'm actually quite full..." Hmm, that's true. Goroh usually gets hungry when changing restaurants, but senpai is not a big eater. Senpai mentioned that he wanted to try the yatai stalls in Nakasu. The yatai stalls in Nakasu are popular among tourists, but Goroh had never been there before. It always seemed crowded and a bit dirty, with higher prices than other stalls. But, this is also a part of tourism. We entered a stall called "Take-chan" where gyoza was popular. It always seemed crowded, but luckily there was a seat available. As soon as we sat down, the waiter said, "You can add drinks, but you can't add food, so please keep that in mind." What? What do you mean? Welcome, last order! It's a rule of popular restaurants, but for first-time visitors, it's hard to know the portion sizes. Most people don't order a lot right away, especially when dining alone like Goroh. Hmm, today's order is: Gyoza 600 yen, Dotenabe 600 yen, Beer 700 yen. The taste is good, as expected from a popular place, but it's a bit expensive for this portion size. 700 yen for a beer is like a high-end restaurant. If there are such restrictions, wouldn't the average customer stay for a short time? It makes it difficult to interact with the person next to you, right? Of course, everyone has their own way of enjoying things, but shouldn't yatai stalls be more casual and easy to use? I wish the yatai stalls I always visit in Hakata, full of local regulars, always filled with laughter and fun. Why don't they open a stall on days like this? Thank you, boss.
