I had lunch at a Western-style restaurant that I always pass by in my car. The entrance of the restaurant is narrow, so I thought the interior would be small, but it was actually quite deep, with about 10 seats at the counter and 2 tables at the back. Since there were 2 of us, we were seated at one of the tables in the back. I always order pork chop when I visit a new Western-style restaurant. I feel like I can understand the restaurant's commitment by the taste of the ingredients and the sauce they use. I also just really like tonkatsu! I also ordered white rice. My companion ordered a budget-friendly set lunch. The pork chop was served first, along with the white rice. The pork chop was quite substantial in size. I cut it with a knife and ate it with chopsticks. Even when cutting it with a knife, you could tell how tender the meat was, and there was not too much fat. It was delicious. The meat was tender and I quickly finished it. It went really well with the rice. I also tried a bit of my companion's set lunch, and the menchi katsu tasted like hamburger and was incredibly tasty! Next time, I'll try ordering the set lunch. Thank you for the meal.

Today I went to Takashimaya in Gashi to arrange for sending a gift. I left home early and saw gorillas at Oizumi Park before heading towards Gashi. I had breakfast at Ajisai and then stopped by Takashimaya. Since it was still early, I enjoyed the Golgo 13 exhibition and the view of Sakai from the observation deck at the city hall. I then leisurely rode my bike north. While riding, I couldn't decide what to have for lunch. Oh, there's Tonosuke on the way back, so I'll have the lunch special there. I arrived at 11:50 and there were already 2, 2, 1 customers ahead of me, followed by 3, 2, 1 customers. It was quite busy! I ordered the lunch special and a large bottle of beer for a total of 1400 yen. The lunch included minced cutlet, bacon and eggs, and salad or french fries for 700 yen, and they really put in effort! The demi-glace sauce at Tonosuke goes well with the minced cutlet, showing that they are a proper Western-style restaurant. It was delicious after a long time. Thank you for the meal!

Today, you can order the "Service Lunch" from 11:00 to 14:00. The Minced Cutlet is huge and impactful, with a crispy coating and juicy minced meat. The meat juice and oil mix with the shop's famous demi-glace sauce, making it even more delicious. The demi-glace also goes well with fried eggs and bacon. The fried egg isn't runny, but I actually prefer it this way. Bacon is also included. All of this for only ¥700 is a steal. The other menu items are also delicious, but whenever I come for lunch, I always end up ordering this incredibly good value Service Lunch. It was delicious again this time.

I visited this restaurant for lunch after a long time. The set lunch is 700 yen and the soup is 100 yen. Despite the high cost of living, they are managing to keep their prices the same. The owners, an elderly couple, seem to have aged along with us. The taste was as delicious as ever, with a generous portion. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I found a really great restaurant in Asakayama!! The Western-style restaurant called Tonosuke. On this day, I had encountered a couple of temporary closures at two other places before finally arriving here. The prices are very reasonable. I ordered the Double Tonkatsu and the Special. I thought the Double Tonkatsu meant two pieces of pork cutlet, but it turned out to be double the size, haha. The Special included shrimp fry, hamburger, salad, and soup. The demi-glace sauce here is somewhat distinctive. It's like a magical sauce that eliminates the heaviness of fried food. There were a few other customers dining, and everyone seemed to be enjoying a quick dinner and leaving. It seems like a lot of regular customers come here often. It's conveniently located near the station with a coin parking lot, so the access is good! If you go, let me know your thoughts.

This is a classic Western-style restaurant with the best value for service lunch! Ordered menu: Service Lunch (700 yen) Highlights: - A classic Western-style lunch for 700 yen! - Established in 1976, a long-standing Western-style restaurant - A wide variety of authentic Western dishes - Crispy and juicy, large minced cutlet! - Excellent combination with demi-glace sauce! The Western-style restaurant "Tonosuke" has several branches in Osaka, but this particular branch in Abeno is said to be a branch of the original store founded in 1976! The service lunch here offers the best value for money! For only 700 yen, you get a large minced cutlet, fried egg, bacon, salad, and rice! The minced cutlet with demi-glace sauce is big and makes a great impact! The crispy coating and juicy meat, along with the demi-glace sauce, create a fantastic combination! The fried egg is cooked slightly firm. I also like runny eggs, but firm eggs are also good! The addition of demi-glace sauce makes it even more delicious! Although my days are busy, I want to cherish the time spent leisurely in cafes like this. Thank you for the meal!

I visited during lunchtime on a regular day. I ordered the service lunch available between 11:00-14:00, which had good reviews. The meal included minced cutlet, bacon and eggs, rice, and salad. All of this for only 700 yen (tax included)! The minced cutlet was delicious with plenty of demi-glace sauce. It was quite rare to have bacon and eggs served together. I would love to visit again if I'm nearby.

Located in Asakayama, Sakai City, "Western Cuisine Restaurant Tonsuke" is a well-known establishment. While there are other branches in Suminoe and Sakai-shukuin, all of them originated from the main store in Abeno-ku. The Asakayama branch was founded in 1976. Tonsuke is known for its unique demi-glace sauce, which is rich and thick in texture. The demi-glace sauce here is less viscous compared to the one in Sakai-shukuin, making it more to my personal liking. I ordered the "Hamburger Steak and Rice" today. The large hamburger steak, cooked thoroughly on both sides, is generously topped with Tonsuke's demi-glace sauce. It offers a different texture compared to the minced cutlet served during the lunch special. The well-seasoned and rich flavor of the pork is evident in every bite. This classic Western-style hamburger, neither too fluffy nor too juicy, exudes a sense of comfort and nostalgia.

In Sakai City's Asakayama, there is a Western-style restaurant called "Yoshoku no mise Tonsuke." Known as "Yoshoku Tonsuke," there are also branches in Suminoe and Sakai-shukuin, all of which are offshoots of the main store in Abeno-ku. The Asakayama branch was established in 1976. Today, from 11:00 to 14:00, you can order the "Service Lunch" for ¥700. The highlight is the huge and impactful minced cutlet with a crispy coating and juicy meat. The meat juices mix with the restaurant's famous demi-glace sauce, making it even more delicious. The demi-glace also goes well with the fried egg and bacon. The egg is not runny, but personally, I prefer it this way.

From the blog: "Tonosuke" is a traditional Western-style restaurant in Osaka, with origins in Abeno-ku Showacho and several branches in the city, including two in Sakai. One of the branches is located in Sakai's Asaka, a long-standing Western-style restaurant since 1976. The sister of the head chef runs this particular branch. The lunch menu includes a generous portion of rice, soup, and a main dish like minced cutlet with bacon and egg. The minced cutlet is covered in a gentle demi-glace sauce, giving it the appearance of a hamburger. The dish is served with rice, bacon, and egg, and goes well with mustard. The meal costs 900 yen with a large rice portion and soup. The restaurant is popular among local elderly customers and is a beloved establishment in the area."

Today, I visited Tonosuke, a Western-style restaurant in Asakayama-cho, Sakai City, Sakai-ku, for lunch. I had heard from a colleague that the food here was delicious, so I decided to give it a try. I arrived a bit early and was the first customer at the counter, but it turns out there are also table seats in the back that you can't see from the counter.
I decided to go for the set lunch, which included minced cutlet, bacon and eggs, and salad on one plate with rice on the side. The portion was generous and really hit the spot! The minced cutlet went well with the demi-glace sauce. My only complaint was that the egg in the bacon and eggs was a bit overcooked. But for 700 yen, I can't complain. Maybe for an extra 100 yen, they could include spaghetti and coffee as well!

I checked out the restaurant on Tabelog for the first time. I had the set lunch for 700 yen, which included a main dish of minced cutlet, salad, bacon and eggs, and rice. You can add soup for an additional 100 yen. It was incredibly delicious and such great value for lunch! I will definitely be coming back again.

It's a famous restaurant from the Showa era. I went there after training. The atmosphere inside was quiet and nostalgic, with a very Showa feel. I ordered the tonkatsu and soup set for lunch, which didn't come with rice. The tonkatsu was thicker than I expected, and the special sauce was delicious. I enjoyed it with the sauce and rice. The sauce was light in color but had a rich flavor that wasn't too strong, surprisingly light and tasty. The tonkatsu was crispy on the outside and had a satisfying thickness. It was really good. I felt full after eating. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, with tables in the back too. I also got a hamburger and omurice to go. Thank you so much! The restaurant was run by a calm and kind couple. The interior and exterior were well-maintained and pleasant.

Today's lunch adventure led me to a retro Western-style restaurant in Asaka-yama. After being turned away on a previous visit due to their closing day, I finally got my revenge and tried their famous tonkatsu. The tonkatsu was thick and the breading was light and crispy, easily falling off. The demi sauce was unique, creamy, and almost like a mix of white sauce. The tonkatsu was not pre-cut, allowing you to cut it to your liking, but be careful as the breading may fall off. Overall, it was a delicious meal. Thank you, Tonosuke Western-style Restaurant!

Today's lunch was in Sakai City. We supported a restaurant that is still open despite the challenges of the pandemic. My family and I went to a long-established Western-style restaurant called "Yoshoku no Mise Tonsuke" in Asakayama. My children and I had the "Service Lunch" while my wife had the "Omelette Rice". We also ordered a lunch soup on the side. The "Service Lunch" included minced cutlet, bacon and egg, rice, and salad. "Yoshoku no Mise Tonsuke" is a chain of Western-style restaurants with several locations in Osaka, with the main shop located in Showacho. This branch is a separate establishment. There is also a "Tonsuke" in Sakai-Suji. For more details, you can search for information provided by "urya-momen". The "Service Lunch" we had that day was delicious, with the minced cutlet topped with a nice demi-glace sauce. The children even used a spoon to pour the demi-glace sauce over their rice. I couldn't resist putting the bacon and egg on top of my rice as well. The omelette rice with demi-glace sauce was also really tasty. In Osaka, it seems common for tonkatsu and other Western-style restaurants to serve dishes with demi-glace sauce. In Sakai City, popular old establishments like "Aji no Mise Ichiban" in Nakamozu, "Tonkatsu Tachibana" in Mikunigaoka, "Daitofuji" in Shinonome Higashi, and "Tommy Part 2" in Shinmei-cho all serve dishes with demi-glace sauce.

It seems like a couple runs this Western-style restaurant in Asaka, Sakai City. It feels like they have been in business for quite some time. The interior has a counter and tables, and it was quite crowded during lunchtime. The service lunch for 700 yen included a hamburger, bacon, egg, salad, and rice. It was a great deal for the deliciousness. Thank you for the meal.

After work, I decided to stop by this restaurant on my commute route. Due to the state of emergency, they are currently open until 8 pm. I managed to make it just in time! I thoroughly checked the menu and decided to go for the Special Set priced at 1,480 yen (tax included). The main items were hamburger and shrimp fry. The shrimp fry had a unique milky white sauce that reminded me of the homemade mayonnaise from a restaurant I used to go to. The hamburger was different from the usual, with a firm and chewy texture due to the meat being packed tightly. The soup that came first was a consomme soup with a bacon aroma. It was served in a surprisingly large bowl. I don't remember appetizer soups being this generous in portion size. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. As a side note, you can choose between salad or french fries as a side dish for the Special Set. I chose the salad (or rather, the raw vegetables as a side dish). Another side note, am I the only one who feels a bit odd about this binary choice between salad and french fries?

I ordered the roasted pork cutlet. It was breaded and fried after I placed my order, so the coating was nice and crispy. The meat was tender and easy to cut with a knife. The demi-glace sauce had a flavor that I couldn't replicate at home. But the best part was the chef's personality. He engaged in conversation at just the right times, not talking too much, and it was a pleasant experience.

Today's lunch was at Tonosuke, a Western food specialty restaurant in Asakayama, Sakai. The dishes are comforting and reliable, following the tradition of Tonosuke in Showacho. The potage soup with shrimp and onions is simple but thick and filling. The beef cutlet was perfectly fried, with a satisfying texture. I think I'll try the tender fillet next time. It was nice to encounter flavors that brought back memories.
