I went to "Rakusai" in Osaka Sakuragawa, where you can enjoy natural tuna. The restaurant uses carefully selected natural tuna from Katsuura Fishing Port in Wakayama Prefecture to create a variety of dishes. You can also enjoy a tartar sauce with "Moringa," a superfood containing over 90 nutrients, and a soy sauce developed by a tuna sommelier to make tuna even more delicious.
- Natural Tuna Cutlet Set Meal: 880 yen
Tuna cutlet with plenty of Moringa tartar sauce. The onions that are the key to the tartar flavor are from Awaji Island, and the Moringa is from Ishigaki Island. The tuna cutlet is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, light and easy to eat without the typical fishy smell of tuna. The spring roll salad and tofu side dish are delicious, and the miso soup is comforting with a home-cooked taste.
- Natural Tuna Sauce Cutlet Rice Bowl: 880 yen
Tuna cutlet topped with rich Dotombori sauce, served with Moringa tartar and dragon egg yolk. The tuna cutlet, similar to fillet cutlet, is tender and light, easy to eat like a cutlet bowl. The refreshing Moringa tartar sauce is a nice touch.
- Natural Tuna Marinated Rice Bowl Set Meal: 980 yen
The marinated rice bowl with Mochibincho tuna has a fine texture, moist and chewy. Mochibincho tuna, with its original deliciousness of lean meat, is a rare treat. I went to taste the lunch menu this time, but you can also enjoy a variety of tuna dishes in the evening. They also offer sake from Kochi Prefecture, which pairs well with tuna.

Wow! I enjoyed a delicious and cost-effective avocado and tuna bowl at Rakusai! I was amazed by the price - to get such a tasty tuna bowl for less than 1000 yen is incredible! The combination of avocado and tuna was perfect, bringing happiness with every bite. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly, creating a great atmosphere. I would love to visit this place again and again. I can't wait for my next visit! I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to everyone!

Wow! The other day, I visited a restaurant called "Rakusai" that specializes in tuna dishes. The food was delicious, and I was impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff. When I accidentally spilled water, the staff kindly and with a smile helped me. I am truly grateful for their warmth! I ordered the set meal with hamburger and tuna cutlet. Both were incredibly delicious! The tuna cutlet, in particular, was outstanding and truly represented the essence of Rakusai's cuisine. The portion size was just right for an adult male, leaving me satisfied. The prices were reasonable, with set meals costing around 1000 yen. Overall, the delicious food, kind staff, and affordable prices made for a pleasant experience, and I definitely want to visit again. I highly recommend Rakusai to everyone!

First of all, the landlady exudes a bright, wonderful, energetic and amazing aura. There are also a few solo diners. The food, starting with the tuna sashimi tataki, chu-toro, akami, and suki-mi, where you scoop it up yourself with a spoon. It's fun. The wasabi is shaped like a flower. The slightly sweet soy sauce for the tuna is delicious. I even bought some to take home. The maguro tataki, onion salad, maguro katsu, anchovy potato fries, and old-fashioned Napolitan were all delicious. The green tartar sauce on the maguro katsu contains the body-friendly moringa powder. The maguro katsu was exquisite. I want to come back for lunch next time. A refreshing jasmine tea served as water substitute. A fun and delicious restaurant. It was also featured as one of the top 3 recommendations the other day, so it's a lively place. Thank you for the wonderful meal (*^人^*) Thank you very much.

Rakusai is located about a 3-minute walk from Sakuragawa Station, on the corner near the gas station. It was quite empty, perhaps due to the heavy rain. I had the recommended tuna sashimi rice bowl lunch set for 980 yen. The miso soup was also delicious. The tuna fry looked appetizing, so I will try it next time. You can also add a drink for an additional 200 yen.

The tuna cutlet was soft, without any tough parts, and had a delicious melt-in-your-mouth flavor. The tartar sauce made with superfood moringa was a perfect match for the tuna cutlet. The collar part was a bit tricky to eat, but the tuna sommelier, who is also my mom, expertly removed the bones for me. I forgot to take a picture, but the potato salad served as an appetizer was also amazing with its rich flavor and color. The variety of sake available at the restaurant is a delight for sake lovers!

Today we had dinner at a restaurant in Sakuragawa! Due to the lingering effects of the coronavirus, many shops are still closed. But a place I was curious about was open, so we decided to give it a try! It's an izakaya specializing in tuna dishes. Inside, there are table seats and a counter, but it's not cramped, so it's perfect for social distancing. The friendly female owner manages the place on her own! We started with a toast with beer without hesitation. First, we had the tomato slices, which my partner loves! The tomatoes were refreshing and delicious. We also ordered the fresh tuna sashimi, which was only 880 yen. The domestic beef steak slices for 1280 yen were tasty but a bit tough. The camembert cheese with sake lees miso for 780 yen was really good! The pickled cucumber for 200 yen was crunchy and refreshing. Although we only tried one tuna dish this time, I would like to try more next time. It was a delicious meal!

I have been coming here for many years. The mama here is very good at customer service. There are many regular customers who follow her. She is cheerful, bright, and talks a lot, with a lot of energy and a friendly attitude. The tuna here is delicious, but other dishes are honestly just average for an izakaya. However, the tuna sashimi and soy sauce, tuna cutlet, and oden-flavored potato salad are delicious. Also, for some reason, the yakisoba is tasty. Once you become a regular, she will listen to your various requests.

I visited the restaurant "Rakusai," a tuna and obanzai (home-style Japanese dishes) restaurant in Naniwa Ward, Osaka City. It is located at a corner one block south of Exit 4 of Sakuragawa Station on the Subway Sennichimae Line. The restaurant has a stylish interior with a black and white color scheme, giving a clean and chic vibe. Since I made a reservation, there was a handwritten welcome message on the table paper, which was a nice touch. After toasting with beer, I enjoyed a course meal featuring natural tuna from Katsuura, Wakayama Prefecture. The meal started with a tuna prosciutto with a rich texture and avocado salad that perfectly complemented the tuna. The bold sashimi presentation with red meat on top of a large bone was delightful. The marrow around the bone was also incredibly delicious when scraped with a spoon. I switched to sake midway through, enjoying tuna carpaccio and fried tuna. Then, I switched to sweet potato shochu mixed with water and savored tender tuna skewers and tantalizing tuna cutlets with tartar sauce. By the time the meal ended with a mini tuna rice bowl, I was already stuffed with tuna (laughs). It was my first experience with a tuna-focused course meal. Personally, I would have been happier if they had included more variety of ingredients, but for those who love tuna, this place would be a paradise. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I attended a fun drinking party with gourmet friends on a clear May night and raised a toast with tuna! We were surprised by the Kishu Katsuura direct delivery natural fresh tuna assortment, which was served on a large backbone! When I scooped up the middle part with a spoon and ate it, it was so delicious (lol). We also enjoyed dishes like natural tuna katsu with homemade tartar sauce, swordfish and colorful skewers, tuna acqua pazza, vegetable and cheese okonomiyaki, and vegetable polpette. Everything was delicious! It was fun talking to various people (lol). Thank you for the feast!

You have to turn a little from the main street, but the shop is easy to find in front of the gas station. The assorted sashimi includes various parts of tuna, each in small portions, placed on top of medium fatty tuna. After enjoying the sliced sashimi, you can use a spoon to savor the medium fatty tuna. It's soft and delicious! The tuna cutlet and salad with tuna are also delightful, truly a tuna feast! The tuna with green onions was delicious too. The vinegar tuna dish was like sweet and sour pork with tuna. I'm starting to feel full around this point (laughs). However, there's still grilled tuna. It comes with shiitake mushrooms on the side, which were also tasty. I ended up eating it all despite saying I was full - the medium fatty tuna was excellent. It's a satisfying experience. Thank you for the meal.

I went to a different area for lunch after trying various neighborhood restaurants! I borrowed a company bicycle (^_^;) Ring ring ♫ Let's go for a little outing lunch!! It's a tuna restaurant run by women only! The lunch seems to be quite generous in portion. The place is right next to the public bath in Sakuragawa! The bright interior with sunlight coming in has a fishing flag on the wall? It gives a somewhat fishing vibe, right? Let's check out the menu ♫
- Natural tuna tataki with homemade tartar sauce set meal
- Large tuna tataki (3 slices)
The tuna is quite big, with plenty of homemade tartar sauce ♡ Squeeze the lemon on it and take a big bite! Oh no... it's not hot enough llllll(-_-;)llllll Maybe they fried it and left it there? Too bad... it's not cold, but it's not hot either. The tartar sauce made with yuzu vinegar from Kochi is refreshing, and the crunchy texture of chopped onions is quite nice! It also has boiled eggs, mayo, and whole grain mustard in it. But... it lacks that punch. The tuna is thick, but not dry at all! It's moist ♫ It's easy to eat, but it seems like it's cooked well through the center (laughs). I wanted a bit of rareness... In the end, despite the generous portion, I had to finish it with just the tartar sauce, so it became quite monotonous. I got a bit tired of it halfway through (;´Д゜lll) I want Worcestershire sauce or salt. Come on (゚ロ゚)屮 The salad and small side dishes
I'm happy to have a lot of vegetable salad ♡ But... there's a lot of sesame dressing (-_-) it's strong. As I eat, my throat gets dry. The small side dish on the one plate is eggplant simmered in soy sauce! It's also quite strong in flavor... Rice and miso soup
The rice is a bit soft... mushy? The miso soup is so thick that the cabbage is cooked to a pulp, it's also strong in flavor. My throat is so dry Ξ(」゚□゚)」Oi!! Can I have some water~ There seems to be a variety of tuna dishes available, so you can enjoy drinking while eating at night as well. Even with fried food, since it's tuna, it didn't feel heavy on the stomach and I was full. Oh... maybe I should have gone for the tuna yukke bowl (laughs) Thank you for the mealヽ(^o^)丿

Osaka Municipal Subway Sennichimae Line "Sakurabashi" station. Located within walking distance of the bustling Minami district of Osaka, this area is home to many residents. There are hidden gem restaurants and unique shops in this area. On this day, I visited "Rakusai", located about a 5-minute walk south from the intersection of Sennichimae Street and Amidaike-Suji at the intersection of Sakuragawa 2. This restaurant offers tuna directly delivered from Katsuura Port in Wakayama. The lunch menu also includes dishes made with tuna. However, I ordered the limited edition menu item "Maguro no Dotonbori Yakisoba" which is not listed on the menu. Dotonbori Yakisoba is a recommended "local noodle dish in Osaka" by the Japan Common Noodle Association. The three essential elements of Dotonbori Yakisoba are: 1. Thick noodles 2. The key is the savory sauce 3. The addictive spice of the thick sauce. So, what about this Maguro no Dotonbori Yakisoba? Let's try it now. Oh, the noodles are thick! They have a strong presence. When you take a bite, you first taste a spicy flavor, followed by a sweet sauce flavor. This "sweet and spicy" or "spicy and sweet" combination is a basic element of "Osaka cuisine," so they must be conscious of that. Some places serve yakisoba as a snack, but this yakisoba is a substantial main dish. The chewy texture and satisfying bite are unique to thick noodles. As you chew, you can clearly taste the broth. The combination of the savory broth and the fragrant chopped seaweed on top is excellent. And then, the tuna. Compared to pork belly, it lacks the sweetness of fat, but the meat is tender. When you chew, it flakes apart and melts in your mouth. While the initial taste is the rich sauce flavor, once you've chewed the meat, the umami of the tuna spreads in your mouth, which is quite impressive. I love tuna, so I'd like to try it for dinner as well. Rakusai Osaka City, Naniwa-ku, Sakuragawa 3-1-10 TEL.06-7650-4384

I was invited to have a meal and went to the restaurant. Since I finished work early that day, we met up at the station around 5 pm. When I arrived at the meeting spot, my dining companion (*^▽^*) was already there, and we headed to the restaurant together. The restaurant we went to is called Rakusai, which is located just a short walk from Sakuragawa Subway Station and specializes in creative tuna dishes and side dishes. They mainly use tuna from Katsuura, Kii Peninsula, in their dishes. It was their opening day when we visited, and the restaurant was decorated with congratulatory flowers and large fish flags on the walls. We were the only customers at that time, as they open at 5 pm. We started by ordering drinks, and I got a highball while my companion also opted for a highball for a toast. Then we ordered the 3000 yen course menu, which was the only option available on the opening day. We started with a sophisticated three-item appetizer platter, followed by tuna sashimi using the "mochibincho" tuna. The medium-fatty part was particularly delicious, and we enjoyed it with a spoon. The red meat was chewy and tasty, and the medium-fatty part was also very flavorful. We then had barley shochu on the rocks and enjoyed more dishes, including a delicious potato salad with a unique flavor, pickled radish with anchovy and caper sauce, and tuna cutlet with homemade tartar sauce. Everything was delicious and went well with the drinks. Lastly, we had a cute-sized curry rice with the option of bread or rice, and we chose rice. The owner of the restaurant was friendly and easy to talk to, making our dining experience enjoyable. It was a great experience dining at Rakusai, and I would love to try their a la carte menu next time.
