Only visiting once may be influenced by coincidence or preconception. In reality, you won't know the truth until you go a few times. I revisited this place and confirmed that it is indeed a wonderful recommended gourmet spot. There is no need to go all the way to Hirado Shunsenkan anymore. The Itojima Taizukushi set for 2200 yen was a bit pricey, but based on my trust from the previous visit, I didn't think about the price when ordering. I only realized the price after returning. However, in terms of content, it included tai sashimi, Ryukyu (tea rice), kashira simmered dish, tempura, and it was truly a feast for 2200 yen, which is quite reasonable. Especially, the broth of the tea rice was different from the usual tempura dipping sauce (which is also very delicious), it was a clear and likely made from only tai fish bones, showing a dedication to quality. The freshly dropped tai fish was transparent and had a chewy and bouncy texture. I ordered a large tempura bowl for 1380 yen, and the local Ito no Kuni mountain and sea delicacies tempura bowl is also irresistible. The tai tempura overlapped a bit, but the chewy squid, tasty sakura shrimp with shells, and Itojima vegetables tempura were perfectly coated in the sauce. The tempura batter seemed to be made with puffed rice flour, resulting in a crispy finish. It also came with Itojima salt, Itojima sudachi, and tempura sauce made from fish broth. Even though the tempura was already coated in sauce, these condiments for flavor variation were also hard to resist. Last time, I had the fish soup with fish bones, but this time it was the default clear soup (plain without ingredients), which was also rich in flavor, like a fish fumet. The pickled dish for 200 yen was added as a side dish this time. This side dish had simmered dish for 200 yen, tempura for 600 yen, etc. The pickled dish had enough to make a mini seafood bowl, and 200 yen was too cheap. Next time, this side dish and rice combination might be a good choice. The Shima Shiki at the fish market didn't have an impressive selection today, but this could be a fateful encounter. You won't be disappointed at a Shima seafood bowl restaurant.
