Casual standing sake bar -> sake standing bar, then I wanted to go sit down and have some wine, but the place I was checking out changed to a different one. Oh no. Searched for a wine bar from my current location and found one just across the street. So, let's go explore. It was located in a building a little south of Honmachi Street on the east side of the Higashiyokobori side. Honestly, it's not easy to enter... but let's go in! And it was the right decision! However, this place is also standing only, so on this day, it was three consecutive standing bars. It's a spacious place, with two round tables on the counter and by the window. There's plenty of empty space, making it quite relaxed. Outside the window is a river. Background music is played on a record player. The counter is also spacious. Since it was my first time at this place, I decided to try the recommended glass of wine. BulleHitNV Domaine des Dimanches. The label features Steve McQueen. This place is said to be a natural wine bar, although the country is not specified. Also, the master seems to be a former confectioner, so it seems to be a shop for sweets and wine. On the counter, there are homemade sweets that go well with wine. The "Baguette" is not French bread, but a biscuit. It's slightly sweet and moist. It tastes like melon bread. A customer who came later bought all of them as souvenirs. That customer was eating pudding while drinking wine. It's that kind of place. In addition, there are cakes on the counter. Far Breton, a traditional confection from the Brittany region of France. Lemon cake would also go well with wine! The red wine, an organic Syrah, has a slightly sweet taste. It's like a rosé. And when I looked closely, there was a menu for galettes. There are two round griddles for making crepes at the back of the counter. So, I tried the galette for the first time. The classic ham, cheese, and egg galette for 1200 yen. It takes time for the gas griddle to heat up. They carefully monitored the temperature while dropping water droplets. The cheese is grated by hand using a grater. Truly artisanal! The galette was filling, so it was a bit of a challenge, but I finished it. It's a hidden gem where you can relax and listen to music in a nice atmosphere. They even said it's okay to bring your own chair. Interesting. Later, when I reread the special feature on the Higashiyokobori River in meets, I found that it was actually featured on one of the earlier pages. meets really has a keen eye.
