With the help of a friend, I went to Ebisu-cho for a photo shoot after a long time. In between shots, I passed by "Kamokin" where you can choose from soba, ramen, or udon noodles, and dip them in a duck-based dipping sauce. I chose the small size soba with a hot spring egg and chopped yuzu, and it was incredibly delicious! The dipping sauce had various condiments, fish, and duck, and at the end, you add ginger to the boiling water and drink it - also delicious. I ordered a small size but ended up really full (laughs). I think for women, the regular size might be too much. I'm already feeling withdrawal symptoms, so even though it's far, I will definitely go back!

Udon - regular size. Really delicious. I first tried it 15 years ago, and have been coming back occasionally since then. The broth is exceptional. Incredibly tasty. Wish it could come out of my kitchen faucet. The duck extract is impressive, but the combination of dried fish and lemon is outstanding. The seasoning is just right. It feels like all the deliciousness that can be felt on the tongue is condensed. The moment it enters your mouth, your brain immediately judges it as delicious. I ordered thin udon, but I think thick udon might be the best. Will definitely revisit.

I visited after a long time! The duck broth with a unique umami and sweetness is like no other. It's really to my liking♪ You can choose from soba, udon, and yellow soba for the noodles, but my favorite is the yellow soba. Also, I find it interesting and impressive how they use a small gondola to serve dishes in the narrow kitchen.笑

President of Consult K and I spent time together until early afternoon, then I had plans to meet up with my single noble friend, President A. He invited me to another interesting restaurant, so we decided to meet up again. It's been a while since I've had a tour around Naniwa and Nishinari. We planned to meet at 3:30 pm. I was starting to get a little hungry, but I had to resist because the tour was about to begin! Can't resist x2... A friend invited me to a place near his house that caught my eye. It's been a long time since I visited this place. I've visited the Duck Noodle chain of stores many times before, as it's perfect for a quick bite before getting back to work. The Ebisucho Main Store brings back memories of the many franchisees who have visited to learn the ropes. Now, time to order! I ordered the Duck Udon Small (1 serving, warm, thin udon) for 700 yen. You can choose from 3 types of noodles: thick udon, thin udon (which I chose this time), or kishimen. I also added a double serving of duck meat for 250 yen, which I always order. Plus a salmon rice ball for 120 yen. The food was nothing extraordinary, but it's perfect for a quick and satisfying meal when you're short on time. I will continue to use this place as a fast food option when I'm in the area and feeling a bit peckish. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant "Tsukekamo Udon Kamon Kin Emisu Store" for lunch that day. It turns out this is the main store of another Tsukekamo Udon restaurant that I have also visited before. I entered the bright shop and purchased a meal ticket from the ticket machine. They offer three types of noodles: udon, soba, and Chinese noodles, with small (1 serving), regular (2 servings), and large (3 servings) sizes priced at 700 yen, 850 yen, and 1,000 yen respectively. For udon, you can choose from thick, thin, or flat noodles. If you want to order two or three types, you need to purchase an extra serving ticket (200 yen) separately, so it's something to be aware of when visiting this shop for the first time. I ordered a 2-serving combination of Chinese noodles and thick udon for 700 yen plus 200 yen. It was my first time having Tsukekamo Udon in a while, and the flavor of the duck and the sweetness of the oil were really good. It was refreshing yet full of flavor. I especially enjoyed the taste of dipping the noodles in the ginger soup at the end. Thank you for the meal!

Upon entering the restaurant, there was a ticket machine where I purchased my meal ticket. I had the option to choose between udon or soba noodles, and I chose udon. I then took my ticket to my seat, where I was asked if I wanted thin, regular, or thick udon noodles. I chose regular noodles. The udon had a nice chewy texture and the dipping sauce was rich and delicious. The duck meat also had a good bite to it and was satisfying to eat. It was delicious.

After a long time, I visited the New World area. I was planning to go to Matsuya-san, but to my surprise, there was a notice on the door saying they were closed for the day. Disappointed, I wandered around while looking at the Tsutenkaku Tower. Due to the rain and the pandemic, there were hardly any people around. Is everything okay in the New World area? It's strange. Even the familiar kushikatsu place, Kushikatsu 333, is closed until September 12. I wonder if the owners are doing well... As I was contemplating, I noticed a sign for duck udon noodles. It was at Kamonishi-san's restaurant. It was around 11:15, so I decided to give it a try. I entered the restaurant and bought a ticket for a small portion of soba noodles at the ticket machine. When I handed the ticket over, I was asked if I wanted cold or hot soba noodles, and I chose cold. After a while, my soba noodles were brought to me on a four-tiered wagon inside the restaurant (which was a first for me!). The presentation was beautiful with lotus root and mustard greens on top of the soba noodles. The dipping sauce was served hot, with whole dried fish inside. There were plenty of sliced duck meat, white onions, and quail eggs as well. I dipped the soba noodles and slurped them up. Wow! It was delicious! The rich and deep flavor of the broth was irresistible. The sliced lemon added a nice touch too! The duck meat was flavorful and tender. Mixing it all together... delicious. After eating some, they brought me ginger tea to add to the dipping sauce. It was a nice change of flavor. The soba noodles were a bit softer than usual, but overall, it was a pretty tasty meal. Thank you for the delicious meal!

The door at the top of the stairs is actually a very rare thing and I really liked it and wanted to make good use of it. Doors represent boundaries of various emotions. I used them to symbolize changes in the characters' feelings, like the front door or the door to the balcony. The movie "Summer Time" directed by Yoon Dan-bi quietly observes a summer of siblings who move to their grandfather's house after their father's business failure. The lack of detailed explanations may be because it is depicted from Okju's perspective. The movie's strength lies in conveying emotions without explanation, such as feelings towards the mother. Today, I visited "Kamonin Emisu" for duck udon. Unfortunately, the restaurant I wanted to go to was closed due to the state of emergency. It started raining around 1 PM, so I decided to go into "Kamonin" that caught my eye. I ordered the duck udon [small size] for 700 yen. I usually only order soba here, so I decided to try the Chinese noodles this time. The portion size was small, but it was a decent amount for a regular size. The noodles were quite thick, which was surprising as I was expecting curly noodles. Toppings included lotus root, komatsuna, quail egg, lemon-infused dipping soup, and ginger-infused hot water as usual. I used the condiments lined up neatly in order. The curry powder was the best, adding depth to the flavor. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. The taste was initially shocking, but now it's consistently delicious. I hope they continue to offer this taste for a long time. Strive on the path and finish without regret.

I found a great place near Tennoji and Shinsekai that serves tsukemen. They offer udon, soba, and ramen noodles with the option to have them served cold or hot. The prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. The broth is rich with plenty of duck meat, dried bonito flakes, and condiments, making it very satisfying. I had 2 servings today, but I think I could have eaten 3! It was really tasty. Thank you for the meal.

As an otaku who loves Nihonbashi, I like to explore the shopping street from Nihonbashi Station and then make a U-turn around the Ebie-Sumachi area. Along the way, I always stop by this place called "Kamon Nishiki." It's already past lunchtime, so the counter-only restaurant is not too crowded. First, I purchase a meal ticket from the vending machine. For the dipping noodles, you can choose from udon (thick noodles), fine noodles, soba (buckwheat noodles), or Chinese soba, but I always go for soba. I choose the regular portion, knowing how generous their servings are. The noodles are small at 220g, while the regular portion is double that at 440g, which was quite overwhelming at first. The dipping sauce for the noodles is filled with duck meat, simmered bonito, quail egg, and sliced lemon. On top of the soba, there are seasonal vegetables like lotus root, carrot, and others. The ample portion left me feeling full. The ginger-infused hot water was flavorful, and I drank it all up after finishing the meal. I was more than satisfied until dinner time with the substantial portion I had just eaten.

I sometimes use it for lunch. It's a duck soba dish similar to tsukemen. You can choose from udon, soba, or ramen noodles. You can also choose between hot and cold soup. The soup is full of duck meat and other ingredients, with a refreshing taste from the lemon. Today, I ordered the hot ramen. After finishing the noodles, you can enjoy the soup by adding ginger water. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I'll come back again.

The new world always looks picturesque whenever you visit. Osaka, a place I have visited numerous times for work and leisure, is filled with delicious food, but it can sometimes become a bit repetitive. This time, I tried eating soba noodles. Although this is an old story from about a year ago, feel free to use it as a reference. "Kamo Kin Emisu Store" - Kamo Kin is a chain of 10 restaurants primarily located in Osaka (with some in Fukui and Wakayama) known for their duck dipping noodles. While the sign says "duck udon," you can actually choose from udon (thick/thin), soba, or Chinese noodles. The dipping sauce made from duck meat includes bonito flakes and sliced lemon, which is a unique feature. The Emisu store I visited is the main store, located at the corner of Sakai-Suji along the edge of the Shinsekai area. The menu offers a variety of customization options for the noodles, toppings, and hot/cold preferences, making it a bit challenging to decide on an order. I tried the "Duck Dipping Soba (regular)" which was served in a visually impressive manner with bonito flakes and sliced lemon. The remaining sauce can be turned into a soup by adding ginger-infused hot water, which was a refreshing and delicious way to end the meal. Duck soba can be found in various places across Japan, but the visual appeal and impact of the dipping sauce at this restaurant make it unique. The premium feel of being able to enjoy this dish only in Osaka left me completely satisfied. If you ever find yourself in Osaka, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Duck broth dipping noodles with udon or soba. I felt like eating something rich and hearty, so I went back after a long time. As usual, they serve the noodles in a unique wagon. They slide the lightweight sliding door on the ceiling with a clattering sound, asking "How many servings?" There are four trays on the cart, but I think I won't use the top tray for sure. Now, the duck broth udon (small). The noodles are the "Osaka udon" that has been around before Sanuki udon became popular. They are firm and have a strong presence. The duck broth is poured generously into a small bowl. Anchovies stand out more than the duck meat. They were a bit distracting, so I ate them first. The duck meat is thinly sliced but there is plenty of it. Previously, there was a notice about the suspension of additional duck meat due to high prices, but now it seems like there is a lot included from the start. It feels like there is more meat than before. The duck broth has a rich flavor and tastes delicious. The dipping sauce is warm, and the udon is rinsed with water, so it's not too hot and easy to eat. But I don't think the ice is necessary since the udon becomes watery with ice. It's delicious, but I'm not sure why it needs to be a "dipping duck" dish. The ginger-flavored hot water served at the end to mix with the remaining broth is nice though. Dipping noodles are kind of a hassle.

A friend took me to this restaurant. It had a simple storefront and friendly older staff. You buy a meal ticket and then take your seat. You can choose between udon, soba, or Chinese noodles, and I chose udon with kishimen style. It was served as a dipping udon style. The soup contained lemon, simmered beef, and plenty of duck broth. Although it looked light, it was surprisingly rich in flavor. The prices were reasonable and I enjoyed the meal. By the way, what I ate was a regular size, but it was equivalent to 2 servings! LOL.

I had duck udon with thick noodles for the first time in about 10 years, and it was delicious. Next time, I'm thinking of trying it with kishimen noodles.

I happened to pass by and felt like it, so I decided to visit for dinner. It's been a while since I last came, so I'm a little happy. Usually, when I feel like eating here, it's not nearby, and when I pass by, I'm not in the mood, so the timing hasn't been great. I ordered the regular size of soba. I felt like having soba rather than udon. It arrived quite quickly. Even after a long time, the portion is still substantial. For those who want to eat a lot of noodles, I think this portion is satisfying. I'm glad I ordered the regular size. Although the duck slices are thin, there is still a sufficient amount. Even though it's been a while, I still feel the same sense of satisfaction. I feel a sense of relief and happiness. It's my fault that I haven't visited for a long time, so I have no right to complain if things have changed at the restaurant, but I deeply appreciate that they remain the same. Changes are inevitable as things evolve with the times. Both the taste and portion were satisfying. I enjoyed the nostalgic feeling and felt a little lucky. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.

It's been a while since I visited Kamonishiki. Today I had the duck dipping udon, and I chose to have one serving. It seems to be limited in quantity, but I was able to choose from 3 types of udon noodles. The broth was really delicious!
