I went to Vinge based on a recommendation from a wine enthusiast. The small, cozy shop is run by a master who seems to handle everything on their own. The list of wines by the glass is extensive, making it hard to choose. I started with a toast with Cava, followed by trying some white and red wines. Not being very knowledgeable about wine, I simply ordered from the list starting with the cheapest, but I realized that the better ones come at a higher price. However, the generous pours made it worth it in my opinion. The cheese platter, a specialty of the master, was impressive with a great selection. We also tried yuba and Bologna sausage, both of which were delicious. Despite the place getting crowded, the master managed everything smoothly on their own. On this day, we tried a combination of prosciutto and seasonal Amaou strawberries, which was a first for me and surprisingly delicious. Before I knew it, I had spent quite a long time at the restaurant. It's a cozy place with good vibes, and I can see why it's popular. I will definitely come back for more wine. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Today, I stopped by the shop "Vinge" after work as usual!!! I left it to the master and tried various wines today as well. This place is perfect for enjoying wine and delicious food casually, and you can easily come in alone, so it's perfect for stopping by quickly after work (*^-^*) Thank you for the delicious wine and food again today.

Today's article is about Vinge, located in Yotsubashi. I visited for the first time based on a recommendation from a friend who said wine lovers would definitely enjoy it. I tried the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Merlot recommended by the master. The Cabernet Sauvignon was perfect for a light and fruity taste as a first drink. The cheese selection in front of me looked so delicious that I had to try it! The master recommended a selection of five cheeses, including Piétangrôa and Epoisses, as well as the white mold cheese Saint André. It was interesting to taste the orange aroma in the blue mold cheese, maybe it was Fiore d'Arancio? There were plenty of snacks that paired well with wine, and I couldn't help but order more. The Bologna sausage from Unzen had a complex sweetness to it, and it was delicious! The marbled beef tataki had a good amount of fat, but it was refreshing with the homemade wine vinegar. The meal ended with an outstanding curry made from black wagyu beef soup. It started off sweet but had a strong spicy kick later on, and it was delicious! In the end, I tried three different wines, and my favorite was the Sangiovese in the middle. As time passed, I could taste the richness of cocoa and chocolate, it was wonderful. The Zinfandel I had last was a bit sweet for my liking. It was a great time enjoying the master's stories. Thank you for the meal! 🍷

I visited this restaurant for a second round of drinks during my gourmet trip in Osaka. It was located near Hozenji Yokocho in Dotonbori, so we walked there from the previous restaurant. We arrived just before 9 o'clock and were the first ones there, but the place quickly filled up and became a popular spot. We sat at the counter and the friendly master made a good impression on us. The customers included both men and women dining alone, as well as locals, giving the impression that this place is loved by many. This restaurant specializes in wine and cheese, and the prices are very reasonable. The master, a wine enthusiast, offers a wide selection of wines including Super Tuscans and the Five Great Chateaux. The best part is that there is no service charge. We ordered white and red wine, as well as some cheese platter and dishes like beef tendon stew and curry for a satisfying meal. The master's cooking skills impressed us, especially the cheese platter which included a unique blue cheese from Veneto, Italy, paired with a sweet white wine and orange peel. It was delicious and had a dessert-like quality. I complimented the master on how tasty it was, and we ended up having a lively conversation about it. I later found out online that the same producer makes other interesting blue cheeses like "Choco 21 Mature Blue" and "Oro Rosso Blue". The master's friendly demeanor, combined with the affordable and delicious wine, snacks, and dishes, made for a very enjoyable time. I would love to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I have been there a few times. There are various rumors that the wine is delicious! Indeed, the master brought out various wines, including some rare ones. The food was also good, the cheese was well-aged and tasty. The curry we had at the end was also delicious! I can't find any words other than delicious haha. I want to go again!

I have been neglecting the cozy wine bar in Yotsuya for quite some time. The bar is run by a sommelier who offers wines ranging from 380 yen to 15,000 yen per glass. The menu includes various cheeses, prosciutto, and even Italian dishes like dumplings and udon. The owner mentioned that the dumplings and udon were so delicious as staff meals that they decided to add them to the menu. During my last visit, I enjoyed a variety of dishes while trying different wines, such as prosciutto, tomato bruschetta, white mold salami, a cheese platter, penne carbonara, dumplings, sautéed Unzen sausage, cheese bread, curry, and beef stew. Everything was delicious! The owner may look intimidating, but he is friendly and approachable. I will definitely return when things calm down. Thank you for the wonderful meal! ✨

Great little shop. The interior is not very spacious but it's easy to enter even if you're alone at the counter. It's also conveniently located near the station. The master's character is nice. There are many types of glass wines, and they will serve you what you like when you tell them your preference. I was too full for food as it was my second stop that day, but I would like to have a meal next time.

I would rather go there than write about it. I want to talk more with the master. I really liked it.

Today, I would like to recommend Vanju-san, who I often visit after work! This place offers a variety of wines at a more reasonable price compared to other stores. I always let the master choose a wine for me, and it's a very cozy space for someone like me who loves cheese and wine! It's a counter-style restaurant, so it's better to make a reservation as sometimes you can't get in without one. The food is delicious, and the senior sommelier master provides excellent wine pairings with the dishes! I always order the cheese salad because it has different cheeses each time. Personally, I also love the beef tataki and order it every time. Thank you for the delicious meal today!

I was taken here a few times and they always serve the perfect wine for me. I really want to try their food sometime because the lamb chops I had here were the best I've ever had! The owner, who is a senior sommelier, was apparently the first person to get their sommelier license at a young age. The fans of the owner told me this, not the owner themselves. The food is delicious and if you want to drink cheaply, they have casual wines. If you want something a bit nicer, just let them know and they will surprise you with something great. They even serve it in a glass. Red wine and lamb chops were the perfect combination!

I have visited this place many times. They have a wide variety of wines, and if you leave it to them, you can enjoy many delicious wines! The food options are also plentiful, from Italian to curry to Japanese cuisine...you can have whatever you want. And everything is delicious. Personally, I recommend the cheese tofu, baked Camembert, potato salad, stew, and curry. The cheese platter includes some unique cheeses, and they also serve figs together, making it a perfect snack. The food menu changes constantly except for some items, so I think you can enjoy it every time you go.

This is a counter-only wine bar located near the Yotsuya intersection, next to the chicken salt ramen restaurant Hippo. There is no cover charge or service charge, which is a great point. They offer a wide variety of wines, starting from 300 yen per glass, including expensive wines like Jubilee Chambertin. They also have a variety of cheeses and simple dishes. The owner, Mr. Okaga, was the first person to pass the sommelier exam when it started, and he also passed the exam to become the first senior sommelier. Whether you want to learn about wine, simply enjoy wine, or just see Mr. Okaga with his beard, this hidden gem is worth a visit. It may not have high ratings on food review websites, but it is my favorite wine bar.

A wine bar located just a short walk south from Yotsubashi Station on the Osaka Municipal Subway Yotsubashi Line. This shop features a selection of cheeses and wines chosen by a sommelier, allowing you to sample various types while confirming the differences in taste and compatibility. I can't remember exactly what wine I ordered, so I will only introduce the cheeses. 1) Saint-André (30g) (700 yen): Similar in appearance to Camembert, this cheese has a rich taste with even more milk fat content, and a subtle white mold aroma. 2) Mimolette (30g) (900 yen): A hard orange-colored cheese, thinly sliced but with a rich umami flavor that emerges as you chew, with a sticky texture. 3) Caciocavallo Teppanyaki (780 yen): This cheese is often used for pizza or toast due to its stretchiness when heated, but when teppanyaki style, it has a chewy texture and a charred flavor, making it a striking dish. The menu displayed in the shop also includes pasta and salad, but it is recommended to come here to enjoy various combinations of cheeses and wines. You can also add your favorite cheese to salads or pasta, so why not try experimenting with the compatibility with dishes?
