I always go to my favorite Indian curry restaurant, and this time I tried the Batura Nan Set for the first time! (※ Batura Nan = fried nan bread) This is... delicious!! I always like the way they bake the nan bread, but this one is irresistible. I think it may vary depending on personal preference or mood at the time, don't you think? You can choose from about 5 types of lunch curries, and today's daily special was mushroom and chicken curry. I was in the mood for keema today, so I chose that. As I am pregnant, I asked for mild spiciness, and I ordered a mango lassi for my drink. I usually order two levels spicier, so it was a bit mild for me, but I think it's perfect for kids. And all of this for less than ¥1,000 per serving is too cheap! It's recommended because you can eat a lot and get full. The staff is also good at Japanese and easy to talk to.

An Indian restaurant right next to Higashi-Yodogawa Station. It seems to be run by Indian staff. They served a soft and fluffy naan bread that could be described as the size of a baseball glove. For lunch, I had the A lunch set which included chicken curry, naan, salad, papad (soup), and mango lassi. You can have unlimited naan refills with the lunch set. The naan had a hint of sweetness and a delicious texture. You can choose the level of spiciness for the curry, and I chose "medium" which wasn't very spicy and suitable even for children. The free naan refills during lunch make it a great deal, and I definitely want to go back again.

I visited the Indian-Nepalese restaurant "KANCHAN" in Higashiyodogawa-ku, Osaka City for a slightly late lunch. It was my first visit. The restaurant is located about a 2-minute walk from JR Kyoto Line Higashiyodogawa Station. I arrived around 2:30 pm on a weekday. The interior of the restaurant consists of table seating only, with a spacious area of about 25-30 seats. I ordered the Service Set for 550 yen, which includes curry, soup, and naan. The curry of the day was pumpkin, and I chose chicken from the options of chicken, dal (lentil), and keema. I selected the spiciness level as "spicy." The set is reasonably priced, so the combination of items is limited, but the naan was large, probably over 40 centimeters. The portion size was satisfying. The staff asked me if the spiciness level was okay, and as someone who enjoys moderately spicy food, I found the "spicy" level to be just right. The amount of chicken in the curry was a bit small, but considering the price, it was acceptable. I would like to try other sets when I have more time. Although it is an Indian-Nepalese restaurant, it remains a mystery whether the staff are Indian or Nepalese.

This is a story about enduring. It is said to be the second wave of Corona. Let's wash our hands and disinfect them properly, and keep the economy going with those who can work. Tomorrow's work in Wakayama will start early, so I decided to stay overnight. I hurried back to my room during lunch break to prepare for my stay. What should I have for lunch? I haven't been to the nearby restaurant in a while. So I decided to walk to Kanchan. I sat at the table closest to the entrance and ordered the service lunch for 550 yen. The curry was pork of the day. I noticed that Uber drivers often come to this restaurant recently. Today, another Uber driver came in. I wonder if they are becoming popular through Uber? And here comes the lunch. A closed fan-shaped naan is sticking out of the plate on the table (laughs). But it's huge. I cut the naan and dipped it in the curry, and took a bite... delicious. The richly flavored curry goes well with the soft naan. I ordered the normal level of spiciness, so it's not spicy, but the naan is so good that I keep eating. It's big, so it's very satisfying. It comes with chicken soup, all for 550 yen, a very satisfying lunch. Alright, feeling energized now. I'll do my best for tomorrow's early work!

It's the same old story. Since the beginning of this month, I have been going to the driving range every week. I spend my weekends lazing around at the office, so I decided to start hitting some golf balls for the sake of exercise and dieting. My body has gotten quite out of shape, but I feel motivated and refreshed now. After swinging away at the driving range, I come back and think about where to have lunch. As usual, I end up going to the nearby Indian restaurant, Kanchan. It's becoming my go-to place. Today, I ordered the A lunch set for 750 yen. It came with lentil curry (dal curry) with normal spiciness and mango lassi. The naan bread was overflowing from the plate. I finished the salad, tore off a piece of naan, and dipped it into the dal curry... delicious. The flavor and texture of the lentils go well with the naan bread. Maybe I should have gone for a spicier level. I then ordered an extra serving of naan. The new naan arrived hot and fresh. It was too hot to handle, but I managed to tear it apart and enjoyed it. The extra naan was a bit too much, and I ended up overeating. The B lunch set for 990 yen comes with seekh kebab and chicken tikka. I might try that next time. I'll be back again.

I had lunch at the Indian-Nepalese restaurant "Kanchan" near JR Higashi-Yodogawa Station. They offer a service lunch where you can choose from 4 types of curry and 6 levels of spiciness for the price of one coin plus tax, which is equivalent to 550 yen. I chose the Chicken Curry with medium spiciness. For more details, click here! ⇒http://osakadrinker.com/post-30631/

This is a story about feeling unsettled or restless. Due to the impact of the new coronavirus, I couldn't easily go out for work, so I decided to take some paid time off. I will be taking 3 days off this month. On the Monday morning when I took my day off, I woke up at the usual time and got ready as usual. I almost made the mistake of going to the office by accident. Hmm, what should I do? I feel unsettled. I know, I'll go to the laundromat! While the laundry is running, I have breakfast at home. I tried to calm my mind and wait for the laundry to finish, but something doesn't feel right. After hanging up the laundry, I thought, hmm, what should I do today... I don't know how to spend my day off. Hmm, I feel restless. Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, I haven't been to the driving range in a long time, let's go! So, I spent about an hour hitting some balls. My body started to ache all over, but it was lunchtime. What should I eat, where should I go? For some reason, I ended up going to a nearby restaurant called Kanchan. It was a bit late, but there were two other groups of customers already there. I sat down and ordered the A lunch set for 750 yen. I chose the daily curry, slightly spicy, and a lassi. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calming. I thought to myself, everyone must be working right now... and then my lunch arrived. The naan is huge, overflowing from the plate. The fluffy and chewy naan dipped in the daily potato and eggplant curry was delicious. It was a bit spicy, but the creamy curry and sweet naan balanced it out perfectly. The salad dressing was also deliciously creamy. The soup made with chicken broth was tasty too. You can have seconds of naan, but I was already full. My stomach felt settled after the meal... but I still didn't know what to do in the afternoon. I feel restless again. I'll be back later.

I visited "Indian-Nepalese Cuisine KANCHAN" which is located near Higashi-Yodogawa Station and is a place that I often repeat when going out. The restaurant is run by authentic chefs who are brothers, so I decided to try their curry even though I don't usually eat spicy food. I ordered the curry lunch set, which comes with a choice of 3 curry dishes and I chose butter chicken and keema. I also ordered cheese naan. The freshly baked cheese naan was delicious and went well with the curry. The set also came with a spicy chicken dish, salad, and soup, all at a reasonable price. The spacious restaurant was filled with lunchtime customers, including many regulars. It was a new experience for me to enjoy Indian curry with naan, and I discovered the unique flavors of both the cheese naan and plain naan. The restaurant is popular for both lunch and dinner, with many reservations for the all-you-can-eat menu in the evenings.

It's curry season, isn't it? Summer solstice. It's already summer, huh? But where did the rainy season go? Isn't it raining less? It's nice that it's not raining for commuting, but what about the crops... However, it's hot. When it's hot, I crave curry. So, I went to Kanchan again. Which staff member is Kanchan? Not Panchan, right? Today, I ordered the A lunch for 780 yen. The curry is chicken, with a medium level of spiciness. For the drink, I chose mango lassi. Today, I thought I would definitely get a refill of plain naan! But when the A lunch arrived, the naan was huge. As usual, it's huge. I still don't know the true identity of the orange dressing on the salad. The chicken curry has a good chicken flavor. The tender chicken meat is delicious. The naan is soft and goes well with the chicken curry. However, the naan is huge. It's not easy to finish. I gave up on getting a refill today. I've been coming here a lot lately. But it's curry season now, so I'll be back again!

Near yet far, an Indian-Nepalese restaurant. Workstyle reform. Let's make sure to take our paid holidays, voluntarily. But even if we want to take them voluntarily, we can't even use up accumulated compensatory holidays. However, determined, I took a compensatory holiday on Monday. Since it was a company trip on the weekend, I slept like a log until before noon. I aimlessly went out for lunch. The sense of discomfort of lounging around in casual clothes on a Monday at this time. What should I have for lunch... Now, lunch is... I see the nearby Kanchan in front of me. I decided to go in after a long time. But what does Kanchan mean? Is it the name of the staff? I ordered the A lunch set for 780 yen. The lunch set includes salad, soup, drink, curry, and naan (with refills). You can choose the spiciness of the curry. Since I ordered chicken, I chose a slightly spicy level 3. First, the salad arrives. I always wonder what this orange dressing is made of, but I don't know, it's delicious. The soup is chicken-based. This is also delicious. The curry and naan arrive. I ordered today's curry, which has pumpkin in it. The slight spiciness of level 3 and the sweetness of the pumpkin create depth. When combined with the chewy naan, it becomes a very deep and sweet flavor. Not just spicy, but a curry with a deep flavor. You can have a refill of naan, so I thought I would have one this time, but it's so big that I couldn't possibly have another one. Today, I'm full and satisfied once again. Thank you very much.

I'm addicted to the curry here. I've tried various Indian curry places, but I always come back here in the end. The naan is sweet and comes in generous portions, and you can choose the level of spiciness for the curry, which is very delicious.

A few minutes' walk from Higashi-Yodogawa Station. Today, I had lunch here. The interior of the restaurant consists only of table seats and there is no background music. I ordered the A lunch set with spicy Keema curry and a lassi drink. Let's dig in! First, soup and salad. The soup had a taste that was hard to describe and unfortunately, I couldn't finish it. The salad came in a teacup, which was amusing. The main curry was relatively light but the taste was decent. The naan was freshly baked and hot, but lacked flavor and the size made it a bit difficult to eat. Overall, it was an affordable lunch, but the taste was a bit lacking.

Nearby but far away neighbor? That's the story. They say "the lighthouse is close but dark" or "the closer someone is, the later they are." Maybe the latter is just my personal experience (laughs). Kanchan is just a few steps away. India and Nepal, the home countries, are not close at all, but Kanchan is close. Yet, this is only my second visit. It feels far, far away (laughs). Last time, I was drawn in by the ¥500 lunch, but this time I ordered the A set for ¥750. There was a refill of naan. That was the goal. However, this naan is huge. It might be bigger than a 40cm sea bream. I couldn't decide between the daily choices of keema or the slightly spicy carrot and pumpkin curry, but I chose the latter. I also chose the mango lassi drink. The chicken soup had a hint of spice and was delicious. The salad, served in a bowl, was a nice touch with tasty dressing. The curry had a deep flavor and was completely different from Japanese curry. But it had an authentic feel, and as someone who never struggles with food even when traveling abroad, it was great! However, the large naan filled me up quite a bit. Nearby but far away, I will visit again! Next time, I'll go for a naan refill!

I have been on a solo assignment in Osaka for about 4 years now, I think. A few years ago, an authentic Indian-Nepalese restaurant opened on the first floor of the neighboring building. However, being a bit shy around people, especially foreigners, I hesitated to visit as I knew the staff were from overseas. Despite having worked at a restaurant full of foreigners during my student days, I still felt anxious about being the only Japanese customer there. But recently, I noticed a sign advertising a special lunch set for only 500 yen, so today I mustered up the courage to go. To my surprise, the restaurant was quite busy with customers coming and going. I ordered the special lunch set for 500 yen and a lassi for 100 yen. The size of the naan bread that came out was impressive, almost spilling over the tray the waiter was carrying. The curry sauce seemed a bit sparse at first, but the taste was surprisingly good. The naan was soft and slightly sweet, complementing the mildly spicy eggplant and potato curry well. The lassi drink was also delicious, although I'm not sure what it's made of. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant made me feel comfortable, so I definitely plan on going back. I'm curious about the all-you-can-eat and drink option for around 3,000 yen...

The food is extremely delicious. Some places have thin naan, but here the portions are generous and one piece is a lot to finish. You can choose the spiciness of the curry, from very spicy to sweet, which is perfect for me as I can't eat spicy curry. It's conveniently located near the station, the interior is clean, and the staff are friendly, making it a very easy place to visit.

I had a Half Cheese Naan lunch today (*^^*) I finally went to KANCHAN, a lunch place I wanted to go to before. When I entered the restaurant around 1:30 in the afternoon, there was only one group of customers, two women who seemed like local residents. The restaurant was very spacious and clean! There were Indian or Pakistani staff members who spoke fluent Japanese, which was impressive. We were seated and a cool young man brought us water. Surprisingly, he tore open the towel packet and handed it to us unfolded. Is this a service they have learned in Japan? It's subjective whether it's good or bad, but I personally liked it a lot! We ordered our lunch smoothly following the menu, choosing the set, curry, spiciness level, and drinks. After a while, a salad was brought to us. It was generously dressed and very delicious! Then, a plate with cheese, rice, the ordered curry, papad, and shish kebab arrived. I didn't finish the salad, but I decided to try the curry while the cheese was still warm. The cheese in the cheese naan was firm and didn't have the gooey texture some may prefer. It cools quickly and becomes solid due to the firm cheese. The curry was Keema and slightly spicy. It was quite tasty with a good level of spiciness! I also crushed the papad and mixed it with the curry and rice, which was very delicious. The shish kebab was something I hadn't eaten much before, so I couldn't judge the taste. It was like flavored fish cake. I had a mango lassi for my drink, which was thick, cold, and delicious (*^^*) When it comes to curry restaurants, I can't say it was extremely delicious, but I was more impressed by the excellent customer service and hygiene maintenance. I would definitely come back to this place! Next time, I will try the plain naan for sure (・ω・)ノ Towards the end of my meal, a woman who seemed like a local resident and was out for a walk came in alone. Judging from the customer base here, I felt a sense of familiarity and stability about this place. Restaurants are not only about the taste but also about other factors, so I hope good restaurants like this one will continue to thrive. Thank you for the meal today m(_ _)m ===========
