"Original Zaru Yaki Kobayashi Yochiku" is a chicken dish specialty store produced by "Kobayashi Yochiku," which has been in business for over sixty years in Kobayashi City, Miyazaki Prefecture. The most popular menu item is the "Grilled Chicken," where fresh chicken meat delivered daily from the Miyazaki/Kobayashi Yochiku factory is grilled over charcoal fire. This restaurant gained popularity after being featured on the September 4, 2022 broadcast of the show "Sakagami & Sashihara's Unbreakable Store." In the show, it was revealed that the restaurant has partnered with Hot Land Co., Ltd. (headquarters in Tokyo), which operates "Gindaco Sakaba" and "Nihon Saisei Sakaba," and opened the first store in Tokyo, "Original Zaru Yaki Kobayashi Yochiku Shinbashi Store," on August 22, 2022. The exterior of the restaurant is on the second floor of a mixed-use building, with a casual atmosphere inside, offering counter and table seating. We tried the "Grilled Chicken Course with All-You-Can-Drink" menu. Upon entering, the staff explained the course and the preparation of the "zaru yaki." The first "zaru yaki" cooking demonstration was done by the staff. The cooking method involves putting chicken fat and chicken meat in a sieve and grilling it over a shichirin charcoal fire. The flames rise quickly due to the chicken fat acting as an accelerant - a spectacle that is enjoyable to watch! We then tasted the "Hinadori thigh" prepared by the staff, and the flavor of the grilled chicken combined with the smokiness of the charcoal was delicious. For subsequent rounds, we tried grilling the chicken ourselves, adding to the fun and excitement. The staff occasionally assisted, making the experience enjoyable and accessible to everyone. The family members who were first-time visitors were delighted. We also enjoyed the "Special Chicken Nanban," "Nankotsu Tsukune with Egg Yolk," and "Minced Chicken Miso Vegetable Platter (Bell Pepper, Cucumber)" from the à la carte menu. Towards the end of the zaru yaki experience, we savored the "Chicken Hormone Mix," "Grilled Chicken Kalbi," and "Grilled Chicken Skin," all showcasing the freshness and deliciousness of the chicken. The "Soboro Donburi (with Egg Yolk)" and "Chicken Soup" served as a satisfying conclusion, with the rich flavor of the chicken shining through. With good cost performance and excellent hospitality from the staff, it was a highly satisfying dining experience. Imagining this business model expanding nationwide is exciting. I arrived a little after 5 pm on Sunday. I didn't have a reservation but was able to get a seat! I ordered the assorted grilled dishes, meat miso vegetables, and boiled dumplings. Grilling the assorted dishes myself was fun and the taste was delicious! The meat miso vegetables were also recommended and very tasty! The boiled dumplings with soup were delicious as well and a good way to finish the meal! Thank you for the delicious meal!

The other day, I saw someone I follow visit this place and it made me want to go, so I went with my family to an area in Nishijin that we don't usually go to. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by a wonderful savory smell. We had made a reservation in advance, which turned out to be a great decision because the restaurant was fully booked when we got there. Looking at the menu, we saw various parts of chicken available to order, such as parent chicken, gizzard, and neck meat. We tried a variety of these parts and each one was delicious, leaving us very satisfied with the restaurant.

We went to a restaurant that is popular among the staff of our company with our family. The restaurant is located in a shopping street in Nishijin. When we arrived, there was a line of customers outside, but we had made a reservation so we were able to go in without waiting. In addition to grilled dishes, they also had fried dishes such as fried chicken and chicken nanban. It was fun to grill the chicken at our table. The food was delicious and it turned out to be a fun dinner.

I found out about this restaurant on TV and had been wanting to go for a while. Luckily, I had the chance to visit Nishijin, so I made a reservation right away. When I arrived, it was already past 8:00 pm on a weekday and the place was full. I ordered the Zaru-yaki right away. It was my first time trying Zaru-yaki, and the staff kindly taught me how to cook it. At first, they cooked it for me. The Zaru-yaki had a delicious charcoal flavor that spread throughout the meat, making it a perfect match for drinks. Although the steamed dumplings that were featured on TV were not available yet, the quality of the other dishes was high, and I ended up eating and drinking too much. Next time, I want to try the steamed dumplings.

I went to the original charcoal-grilled chicken restaurant, Kobayashi Yoken Honpo Wasabi, in Sawara-ku, Fukuoka City today for a drinking party with friends. The designated location was in Nishijin, where you can experience Miyazaki's specialty charcoal-grilled chicken at the restaurant. The restaurant is a direct store of Kobayashi Yoken in Miyazaki, and they receive fresh chicken from the Miyazaki factory every morning. The Miyazaki chicken charcoal-grilled course (4900 yen) includes two hours of all-you-can-drink. It features famous dishes like Chicken Nanban with cartilage, Tsukune with egg yolk, and various charcoal-grilled chicken dishes. We were taught how to grill the chicken ourselves, and it was quite a fiery experience. The smoky and flame-grilled chicken was delicious. With such a variety of dishes, we enjoyed some sweet potato shochu after our beer. The all-you-can-drink deal for 4900 yen is really worth it. Next time, I want to try the limited edition Miyazaki shochu while enjoying the charcoal-grilled chicken. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had my first taste of Kobayashi Poultry in Fukuoka, which is also newly opened in Shinbashi. Their specialty is the "Zaru-yaki," where various parts of the chicken are placed in a basket and grilled over charcoal fire. It's quite a sight to see! After placing the chicken in the basket, they add "chicken oil" which ignites and creates a campfire-like flame. The grilled chicken, combined with the charcoal aroma, was delicious. The most impressive part was definitely the performance. If I have the chance, I'd like to visit the Shinbashi location as well.

The staff kindly taught me how to grill the meat, and I had a great time. The quality of the chicken meat was excellent, and it tasted even better when combined with charcoal grilling. Especially the heart and gizzard stood out in freshness. I am satisfied with the course, but next time I would like to enjoy ordering individual items.

I love the local chicken grill here too much! The firmness and chewiness of the parent bird are addictive. The taste is solid with each bite, and it's really delicious. I also recommend the Chicken Nanban. They can cook it with your choice of cuts. I wanted to try the thigh grill and minced chicken bowl, but I was too full to do so... Looking forward to it next time.

This was my first time visiting. I was looking forward to trying the fresh chicken delivered daily from the Kobayashi Poultry Headquarters factory in Miyazaki Prefecture. Here, customers can experience grilling their own meat using a charcoal grill and a mesh strainer. Since it was my first time, the staff grilled the meat for me. I was curious about grilling with a mesh strainer, but cooking the meat with the fat together allowed it to cook quickly and evenly. The aroma of the charcoal fire while grilling was appetizing. There were condiments such as yuzu pepper, wasabi, and rock salt, and the variety of cuts like chicken thigh, neck, and hormone mix each had their own delicious flavors. The meat was tender with a nice bounce and a good fragrance, perfect for enjoying with drinks. A "Collagen Chicken Soup" was served, made with the wings of 300 chickens. Unfortunately, it was lukewarm and the fat had solidified a bit, which was a shame. I couldn't try the Chicken Nanban or minced chicken bowl as I was already full, but others in my group enjoyed them. Mixing the egg yolk in the center is recommended, but I was too full to try it. The course meal includes all-you-can-drink which is a good deal, but the portion size is quite large, so I might prefer ordering individual items next time. The service from the energetic university student waitress was great. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I had the following dishes: Grilled assorted skewers (6 pieces) for 1480 yen, potato salad for 490 yen, 2 wing chops for 240 yen, famous Chicken Nanban (4 pieces of breast meat) for 780 yen, chicken soboro rice bowl for 500 yen, chicken soup for 180 yen, and a medium-sized draft beer for 500 yen. The authentic Miyazaki flavors such as charcoal-grilled dishes and Chicken Nanban were enjoyable. I spent around 5000 yen eating and drinking alone. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I would like to come back again.

I visited the shop after seeing them on TV. It was my first time trying Zaru-yaki. I was amazed at how intense the grilling was with so many Zaru used. The chicken was crispy and delicious. The side dishes like soba rice bowl and spicy ramen were also very tasty. Located in the Nishijin shopping district, there is no parking nearby so it's better to make a reservation as it can get crowded.

First time visiting. Despite the pandemic, the restaurant was packed. You can have the chicken grilled for you at the table, but I wanted to take my time, so I grilled it myself over charcoal. I was impressed by the deliciousness of the gizzard. The way they cut it and the quality of the ingredients made the gizzard have a chewy yet tender texture. The other chicken dishes were also delicious. The finale of the ramen was a bit lacking, but I think a chicken rice porridge would be a safe bet for a closing dish here.

It's scorching hot, but I made this choice. However, it's delicious, grilling chicken over charcoal can't be bad! And the chicken is tasty too! The all-you-can-drink course for 3850 yen is filling enough! I wanted to try the beef too though. The staff quickly approached us for orders. Overall, it's a well-rounded place! The minced chicken rice bowl and collagen soup are great too! It's a bit disappointing that they only have Kin-Mugi or regular Malt beer. I'll definitely come back again! ↑↑↑

This is a Seven-Ring Charcoal Grilled Chicken Specialty Restaurant operated by Kobayashi Poultry Farm in Miyazaki. Their specialty is the "Zaru-yaki" dish made with fresh chicken harvested in the morning. Located along the shopping street extending from Nishijin to Fujisaki. I visited this restaurant after a long time because my companion wanted to try their Zaru-yaki and Kamameshi rice. When it comes to Miyazaki yakitori, the popular dish is the grilled chicken thigh of a mature chicken, which is served in various restaurants in Fukuoka. However, this time, we aimed for the original Zaru-yaki dish at this restaurant. The Zaru-yaki platter for 4 people, size L (520g), costs 1,930 yen (excluding tax) and includes Miyazaki Hinadori chicken, Oyadori chicken, gizzards, and hearts. The yellow part in the middle of the plate is chicken fat, used for flavoring the meat while grilling. The style is self-grilling, but we had the staff assist us at first. We started with the light Hinadori chicken. Grilling the meat along with the chicken fat occasionally flipped on the grill. The flames and smoke from the fat enhance the charcoal-grilled flavor. The grilled meat was tender, chewy, and incredibly delicious! It's the best at chicken charcoal-grilled restaurants where you grill it yourself! Next, I tried grilling it myself. This is the gizzard. It tasted delicious even when I grilled it casually while drinking beer. It was surprisingly good (laughs). It was easy to eat and had a perfect amount of elasticity. Similarly, the mature chicken had a good balance of tenderness and was easy to eat. You can really taste the quality of the meat. We also ordered the "Hinadori skin" as an option. I'm not particularly fond of chicken skin, and I don't usually go for the popular grilled chicken skin skewers at famous yakitori restaurants, but I really liked this one. There are various set courses available, but this time we focused on the Zaru-yaki and enjoyed other dishes with beer and Miyazaki-produced shochu. Although the Kamameshi rice that my companion liked was no longer available, there are various rice menu options. It was a delightful dining experience. I visited this restaurant after seeing it on TV and it looked interesting. First of all, the food is delicious. Yes. And it's fun to grill meat while making a fire. It's like playing with fire. It's enjoyable. It's also nice that you can choose from a variety of shochu for 390 yen. The waitresses at the restaurant are friendly and there are many cute girls, which is a plus.笑.

While strolling in Nishi-Shinjuku, I stumbled upon a great restaurant! They serve fresh chicken from Miyazaki that you grill yourself over charcoal. The staff are very helpful and will guide beginners on how to grill the chicken. They also serve delicious Chicken Nanban, a Miyazaki specialty, which was tender and tasty with plenty of tartar sauce. The atmosphere is lively and perfect for enjoying a meal with friends. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I look forward to visiting again.

I was recommended to this restaurant by a colleague and visited on a Saturday around 9:30 pm. I ordered the Zaru-yaki 4-point platter (S) for 980 yen, Toro liver, Hinadori (young chicken), small salad, medium rice, Tori no soup, 2 beers, and 1 juice. The restaurant cooks the meat on a charcoal grill in a unique style. The staff taught me how to cook the meat properly and when it's ready to eat. The Hinadori was tender and flavorful, while the Toro liver had a nice texture. The salad was generous even in the small size, and the soup had a comforting taste. By the end of the meal, my friend and I were full, and the bill came out to just over 4000 yen for both of us. It was a great value for the delicious food we enjoyed. It's a great value for money. The alcohol goes down smoothly (laughs). It's located on the second floor of a building just off Hayao Road, near Ichiran. There's a sign below that makes it quite easy to find! Ask the staff for recommended dishes and order! The hinadori, seseri, heart, liver, and beef tongue are all delicious! They're irresistible when grilled over charcoal (laughs). The beer just keeps flowing! It costs around ¥3000 for two people. Isn't that great value for money? I'll definitely have to visit again (laughs).

GW had no plans, so let's go eat some food! I was curious about this place from the TV show "Unbreakable Restaurant," so I decided to come here. I didn't know what to order, so when in doubt, go for the course menu. They grill various parts of chicken on charcoal. I had no idea how long to grill each part, so I asked the lovely female staff at the restaurant to do it for me. The different parts had different textures and flavors, which was interesting and delicious. The chicken nanban was also delicious with its sweet vinegar flavor. The chicken soup served with the rice at the end was also tasty. It was a fun experience. Thank you for the meal!
