Regular chatting and drinking party with friends. This time we went to Uohachi in front of Tsuruhashi Station, just across the signal of JR station. They serve amazing volumes of sashimi and hamayaki (grilled seafood). The hamayaki included sazae, hotate, and squid. The Caesar salad had sashimi on top, and the simmered dish was delicious. The tempura included shrimp, pumpkin, and kisu, all large in size. I love mackerel sushi, it was the best! It came with an orange for dessert to freshen our mouths. For an additional 500 yen, we extended the 90-minute all-you-can-drink to 120 minutes, all for a flat rate of 4000 yen. Wow! The place is sure to get busy with customers coming in one after another. It was delicious, and the staff were very friendly, making the experience enjoyable. Thank you for the meal!

One Coin Lunch 30 Match Battle PART3 "Jizushi Izakaya Uoya Shoten Tsuruhashi Store" (Osaka, Tsuruhashi) Amidst the recent rise in prices, this restaurant has also increased the price of their One Coin Maguro-zuke Don Set to 600 yen. On this occasion, I ordered the Seasonal Don (with udon) for 500 yen. This day's special was Chicken Soboro Don.

I was getting tired of all the Korean food in Tsuruhashi, but I found a restaurant near the station where I could eat fish. I decided to try the sashimi, but the cost performance was bad - thin slices of fish for over 700 yen. However, everything else on the menu was incredibly delicious! The Caesar salad had salmon, tuna, and squid for a cheaper price than the sashimi, and the grilled squid and tempura were also very tasty! It was a shame that only the sashimi was disappointing! The staff were attentive and friendly. Thank you for the meal.

The location right next to Tsuruhashi Station is great. Tsuruhashi is known for its yakiniku, but there is also a market nearby selling fresh fish from Ise, so I had high expectations when I walked in. The tempura and rice bowls looked tempting, but I was surprised to find a sashimi set with generous portions for only 780 yen. Tsuruhashi truly lives up to its reputation. There were even three groups of customers drinking and having a good time in the middle of the day on a weekday, adding to the chaotic yet lively atmosphere of Tsuruhashi. I'm thinking of trying the tempura set or the marinated tuna rice bowl next time.

The tuna pickled bowl with udon for 600 yen is the leading bowl in the Uo Hachi's specialty bowl series. In these times, the price has increased by 100 yen. The taste and amount of tuna were decently delicious. The udon seemed like frozen udon, but the broth was tasty. The price is what it is, so it's pretty cheap. If you order beer, a cover charge of 309 yen is required to keep the beer price the same. The cover charge that came out was kinpira gobou. If this is the cover charge, then please raise the price! For this restaurant's lunch, I think it's best for nearby office workers to come in, quickly eat just the rice, and then return to work. The bowl was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

※This is a reminder. It is a personal record of when, where, what I ate and drank. I had some free time today, so I decided to go bar hopping from lunchtime. First, I visited Uohachiten, a local fish bar in Tsuruhashi. On this day, I had: - Maguro (tuna) pickled rice bowl for 500 yen - Draft beer for 429 yen (complimentary) *One free drink with LINE friend registration I had been curious about their one-coin lunch, and I couldn't believe that I got a pickled rice bowl with udon and pickles for just 500 yen including tax. And on top of that, I received a complimentary draft beer for registering as a LINE friend. It was a very satisfying lunch experience.

The restaurant near Teramachi Station is bustling and always crowded, indicating its popularity. I had a tempura assortment, a sashimi platter with 5 types of fish, and fresh yellowtail sashimi. I also tried the crab cream croquette. I wished they had mentioned that yellowtail was included in the sashimi platter. The tempura assortment was delicious, and I plan to order it again on my next visit. The restaurant can get noisy, so it might be a bit challenging to have conversations without raising your voice, but overall, it's a lively and enjoyable place to dine.

In December, we have three ongoing series: the 1000 yen lunch and 500 yen lunch on the 20th, and the Ramen Final 20 Match in 2022. Over the past few months, we have been featuring One Coin Lunch ideas, but this time we will be comparing them with a set of 1000 yen lunch ideas. Today marks the start of a 7-day period where the One Coin Lunch prices will decrease, while the 1000 yen lunch prices will increase. I visited "Jizakana Sakaba Uohachi Shoten Tsuruhashi Store" in Tsuruhashi, Osaka, and tried the Unagi Tempura Donburi (served with udon) for 500 yen. Tomorrow, the One Coin Lunch prices will continue to drop. Let's see how far they will go!

Squid dried overnight for ¥680, Tempura assortment for ¥780, Salmon Carpaccio for ¥580, Fish Hachi's eight varieties assortment for ¥1680, Squid Tempura for ¥380, Scallops with soy sauce for ¥580, Fried oysters for ¥480, Fried chicken for ¥480, Potato fries for ¥380. We went drinking in Tsuruhashi that day and had a great meal! We passed by this place several times but never went in before!! They have a wide variety of seafood dishes, and the tempura was really delicious with so many options to choose from!! We ordered the assortment and some individual dishes we wanted to try, but the most impressive dish was... the squid at the top, it was so good it felt like it was born to be eaten with alcohol, thank you! It was delicious, we really enjoyed it! Everyone should definitely go and try it out!

The seafood is fresh and delicious, and it even comes with udon for only ¥1000. I added the fried oysters because they looked so good at the table next to me. Even with the addition, you can have lunch for under ¥1500, so it's a great value. ⭐️

Today's lunch was at Uoya Shoten Tsuruhashi branch in Tsuruhashi. I ordered the one-coin specialty from the lunch menu, the maguro tsukedon for 500 yen, with an extra 100 yen for a large serving. It arrived in 2-3 minutes, along with a side of small udon and pickles. The maguro tsukedon had plenty of sliced tuna in soy sauce seasoning, which was delicious. The large serving had plenty of rice. The udon had chewy noodles with a flavorful broth. The food was not only great for dinner, but also for lunch. Thank you for the meal.

Today is Friday. After finishing the regular meeting in the morning, I decided to take the afternoon off from work♬ I had plans to meet up with my partner in Tsuruhashi around 1 PM. We were both in the mood for drinks✊ For a midday drink on a weekday, "Uohachi Shoten" is the place to go♬ The fish is delicious and the all-you-can-drink option is enticing❣️ When we arrived at the restaurant, the waiter asked us, "Are you here for lunch or drinks?" We are familiar with the place as we have visited before. "Drinks (laughs) all-you-can-drink please!" We ordered some draft beer right away♬ My partner chose tempura - pickled ginger, asparagus, lotus root, shrimp, and chikuwa. We also ordered some horse mackerel fry. I went with the simmered fatty mackerel and fresh squid sashimi that I enjoyed last time. Lastly, my partner added today's grilled fish collar. We ordered some draft beer and waited while enjoying our drinks. After about 10 minutes, the fresh squid sashimi, horse mackerel fry, and simmered fatty mackerel arrived⤴️ Let's dig in❣️ The fresh squid sashimi had a unique sticky texture with a hint of sweetness♬ It felt like a while since I last had squid sashimi. My partner doesn't like raw fish, so he stayed away from the sashimi^^; The horse mackerel fry was quite thick and meaty❗️ The freshly fried crispy texture was simple and delicious♬ The simmered fatty mackerel had a perfect balance of firm flesh and mackerel fat. It was sweet and savory, almost making me crave for rice... the beer went down smoothly➡️➡️➡️ The tempura and grilled fish collar arrived a bit later‼️ My partner enjoyed the tempura while I savored the grilled fish collar. The grilled fish collar had meaty parts like fins and under the eyes, allowing you to taste the muscular texture☝️ It had a perfect amount of salt and just the right amount of fat❣️ My partner also raved about the freshly fried tempura♬ Uohachi Shoten doesn't serve high-end ingredients, but they cook everyday ingredients deliciously. It's a favorite restaurant for me and my partner☺️ We always feel well taken care of here♬ And we'll definitely be back(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) Thank you for the delicious fish meal m(_ _)m

Today, I went on a business trip to Kobe in the morning. Work was off from lunchtime onwards. Since my partner had the day off, we decided to meet up in Tsuruhashi for lunch. It's been a while since we had lunch together, so we were both excited. We arrived in Tsuruhashi and met up with my partner. The first thing my partner said was, "I'm getting excited!" Since it had been a while since we were in Tsuruhashi, I understood the feeling. Next, we had to decide on a restaurant. I wanted to try a new place, so I had already done some research. I found a place called "Jiyo Sakaba Uohachi Shoten" that seemed to serve delicious fish. We headed there right away. The location is just a 2-minute walk from Tsuruhashi Station, on the north side, under the JR Loop Line viaduct. It's very convenient and easy to find. We arrived at the restaurant and were seated at a table. There were three other groups of customers in the restaurant, with a variety of ages. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their lunchtime drinks. The server asked us how many people, and we said two. They then led us to a table. The server asked if we were having lunch and if we wanted to drink. My partner and I looked at each other and decided to have a drink. Our lunch plan had turned into a midday drinking session. However, we had planned to have at least one drink from the beginning, so it was expected. We then looked at the menu. The server informed us that they had a great deal on weekdays for all-you-can-drink. We decided to go for the all-you-can-drink option. We then selected our dishes. The fish dishes on the menu were plentiful. I chose the simmered mackerel, and my partner chose three types of tempura. Since we both love dried fish, we also ordered the dried squid. Our drinks arrived, and we cheers to a good time. The dishes arrived, and we started eating. The simmered mackerel was delicious, not too sweet, and had a good amount of fat. It went well with the drinks. The tempura was crispy and hot, especially the pickled ginger was a standout. The dried squid was thick and flavorful, with a hint of salt that brought out the squid's umami flavor. We enjoyed the food so much that we wanted more sake. It was a brief but happy time we spent at Uohachi Shoten. Thank you for the delicious food and enjoyable time. We will definitely come back, probably very soon. Thank you for the meal.

I searched on Tabelog and found a restaurant that looked delicious, so I decided to go there. It was a Friday night, so there were many customers in suits inside the restaurant. The staff were lively and the atmosphere felt like a traditional izakaya. It was a fun experience after a long time.
- Assorted sashimi (5 kinds) ¥968
- Flat horse mackerel sashimi ¥528
- Salmon carpaccio ¥638
- Chicken Karaage (fried chicken) ¥528
- Blowfish Karaage (fried blowfish) ¥638
- Seafood salt-grilled soba noodles ¥638
- Fish head miso soup ¥418
- Assorted tempura (5 kinds) ¥858
- Draft beer ¥429 x 2
- Shochu highball ¥418 x 2
- Mikan citrus sake ¥495
- Soft drinks ¥330 x 2
The prices were reasonable and the fresh sashimi was very satisfying. According to the staff, the recommended items are the seasonal and freshly delivered ones, like yellowtail and flat horse mackerel, which were deliciously fresh and firm. The seafood salt-grilled soba noodles were also spicy and went really well with alcohol. Highly recommended!
I also want to mention that I was impressed when I accidentally left my mask on the table when leaving the restaurant. While waiting at a traffic light outside, a male staff member ran up to me and handed me my mask, asking if I had forgotten it. I was truly grateful and touched by his thoughtfulness. Thank you very much for the wonderful meal!

I ordered delivery from the restaurant Sakana Hachi Shoten! There were various menu options, but I chose the Tuna Yukke Don. When it arrived, it was well-maintained in a cold state with ice packs, so it was delicious! The dish included tuna slices, tuna sashimi, and a hot spring egg with a sweet and savory sauce. The hot spring egg was creamy and paired perfectly with the tuna and sauce. The portion size was just right! I'm looking forward to visiting the restaurant in person next time!

An old man had lunch at a restaurant called Uoya Shouten in Tsuruhashi. He had visited the place before and decided to come back for lunch while working from home. He remembered having the tempura set last time and found the ingredients and frying quality to be good. This time, he looked at the menu and decided to try the assorted fried set for 880 yen. It included fried items like horse mackerel, tuna croquettes, oysters, and shrimp, all fried to a crispy perfection. The old man enjoyed the crunchy texture and found it delicious with either sauce or tartar sauce. He felt satisfied with the high level of enjoyment during his lunch. The restaurant is conveniently located near the station, making it easy to stop by. If you get the chance, please give it a try!

I had a casual lunchtime drink at "Uohachi Shoten Tsuruhashi Store" in Osaka, Tsuruhashi. The area around Tsuruhashi and Shin-Imamiya in Osaka is known for its deep and interesting izakayas, which I particularly enjoy. Due to the current situation with COVID-19 and my reduced ability to digest food after stomach surgery, I don't go out drinking as often as I used to. Occasionally, when I can meet up with old friends, having a lunchtime drink like this is a small pleasure for me. On this day, we decided to try out an izakaya in the Tsuruhashi area. The place was near the station, just across the street to the north, in a narrow alley where there are many markets and yakiniku restaurants. Although it's still daytime, the deep atmosphere is moderate. The place seemed more popular for lunch than for drinks. We tried the "Bijo Otoko" sake from Kochi. It came in a small and unique sake pitcher, which was quite interesting. The taste was refreshing, easy to drink, and delicious. It seemed like it would go well with sashimi. At that time, it was still the season for delicious conger eel. We enjoyed our drinks and food slowly. Although I wanted to try various dishes and drinks, I couldn't quite regain my old drinking energy. The customers kept coming and going, making the place busy. It's no wonder this place is popular, with its very reasonable prices. The food was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

On my way back from a regular errand in Higashi Osaka, I stopped by "Gyohachi Shoten," a local fish izakaya in Tsuruhashi. It is located just a short walk from the central exit of JR Tsuruhashi Station on the Osaka Loop Line. I ordered the "Maguro Tsukedon" dish. Upon entering, there was only one remaining table. It's a popular spot, it seems.
Food & Taste: 3.3
The "Maguro Tsukedon" was served in a slightly small bowl. It came with udon and pickles. The marinated tuna had a soft texture, and any tough parts were hardly noticeable. It was slightly under seasoned, so adding soy sauce to taste was recommended. The green onions and seaweed complemented the white rice well, making it easy to enjoy. The udon was a simple mini size with a strong dashi flavor. It was a bit chewy, and there were some udon scraps at the bottom of the bowl, which reminded me of udon from a casual eatery near a station.
Service: 3.4
The staff provided friendly service with just the right amount of energy. They were like Osaka moms. The "Maguro Tsukedon" was brought out very quickly. It seems like a good choice for a workday lunch. They serve lunch until 3 pm, which is quite late. They also ask upon entry if you are here for lunch or a midday drink. They have hand sanitizing and temperature checks in place due to the current situation.
Atmosphere: 3.1
The large sign outside is a landmark, but the location in a side street may make it hard to spot from the main road. The interior is typical of a seafood izakaya. The background music is Japanese. There were over 10 customers when I arrived and 4 after me.
Cost Performance: 4.0
The "Maguro Tsukedon" was 500 yen. Wow, having udon included for just one coin is unbelievably cheap. While it may be cost-effective for them, as a customer, I have no complaints. The "Sashimi Teishoku" with 5 types of sashimi for 780 yen is also quite reasonable.
Drinks: Data not available.
This place is recommended for those looking for an affordable lunch option.

I returned to Tsuruhashi on July 8th to check the price of Kimpa. After looking around and finding slightly higher prices, I decided to try a cheap and lively shop in front of me before heading back to my car. I love this kind of place. I ordered the "maguro zuke-don" and it arrived in 5 minutes. It came with a mini udon, which was served hot and tasty. I quickly finished the udon and moved on to the maguro zuke-don. I sprinkled some wasabi, poured soy sauce, mixed it well, and enjoyed the spicy kick followed by the delicious taste of the maguro. The portion of rice was generous, which I liked. I drank the leftover udon broth and finished my meal. It was satisfying. Thank you for the meal. Today's lunch bonus: Maguro zuke-don with mini udon for 500 yen.
