I have been to Kokura a few times, but I haven't found a go-to restaurant yet. The hotel concierge recommended five places to me, all of which seemed really good. After hearing the descriptions, I was still undecided when they suggested a revolving sushi restaurant. I decided to go for it and ended up at Kyoto Sushi, where there happened to be a seat available at the counter. I ordered a draft beer and quickly ordered 13 dishes, including yam and simmered fish, fried chicken, and 10 plates of sushi. I was full by the end of the meal. The simmered fish was rich and sweet, with a very flavorful taste. The fried chicken looked delicious as it spun around, and it was better than your average fried chicken place - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with a satisfying texture. The sushi was small, so I was able to try a variety of types. Everything was delicious. And the best part? All of that food for only 3,250 yen. I couldn't believe it! I left completely satisfied.

I heard that there is a slightly more expensive but delicious sushi restaurant here, so I definitely wanted to visit. It's a popular place, so there is often a bit of a wait to get in. The interior is small with a conveyor belt sushi format. You sit at a U-shaped counter and order using a touch panel. Some items can be ordered by the piece. When you order on the touch panel, the staff will bring it to you. The anago (conger eel) was particularly delicious among all the tasty options like matsutake mushrooms and sea urchin. It's surprising that you can eat such a delicious piece for only 143 yen. Also, the sushi rice is very tasty. Honestly, the cheaper items are decent, but even considering that, the cost performance is good. It's very much appreciated to be able to eat sushi from this kind of restaurant as a way to end a night out in the city. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I recently started reading "Shota no Sushi" and got a craving for sushi, so I got off at Kokura and visited Kyoto Sushi, which is about 2 minutes from the station. They had some fish names that you don't often see in the Kanto region, so it was a fun experience. They had changed to touch panels since my last visit a few years ago. I ordered saury since it's autumn, and also red clam, bonito, and squid that were featured in "Shota no Sushi." The saury was especially delicious. It was a great place to enjoy sushi quickly near the station.

The restaurant is conveniently located near the station with excellent access. It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but the main focus is on ordering freshly made sushi rather than what is going around on the belt. It seems to be a popular place, so unfortunately, many items may be sold out at night. The rice portion is small, allowing you to try a variety of sushi options, and there is a good selection of sushi priced in the 100 yen range.

The establishment had a simple toilet for commoners and the staff served customers on the second floor via the stairs. The focus was on cost-effectiveness for part-time workers. The sushi restaurant, known for its good reputation, left me slightly unsatisfied with the meal. I have yet to visit this place and would like to try it out, despite the lack of variety in toppings. Perhaps my expectations were too high. Let's try a different branch next time. I won't bother with the food intentionally.

I visited the most famous conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Kokura during a day trip. Instead of plates rotating on the conveyor belt, you write down your order on a slip of paper and hand it to the staff. The sushi pieces were cut thick, so they were more satisfying than they appeared. I particularly enjoyed the swordfish, flounder, and horse mackerel. I ate 11 plates and the total bill came to 2500 yen with change returned. Most plates were priced at 143 yen or 286 yen, so I didn't try the more expensive options, but I was still very satisfied with the value. The restaurant is located in a shopping street, which may be why there wasn't a long line outside. There seemed to be a waiting room on the second floor for customers waiting to be seated, but I was able to get in without waiting. The restaurant is non-smoking.

Kyo Sushi in Ogura is a popular local sushi chain known for its affordable prices starting at 130 yen per plate. They also offer higher-end options starting at 390 yen with a variety of delicious white fish and shellfish. Ordering by writing on paper can be a bit of a hassle, so a more streamlined system would be appreciated.

I felt like eating sushi, so I visited Kyoto Sushi. The restaurant was about 70-80% full, so I was able to get in without waiting. I have visited the Konyamachi store twice before, but this was my first time at the Kyotocho store. Unlike the spacious Konyamachi store, this store was small with only about 20 seats at the counter. They didn't have a touch panel system, so we had to order by giving a paper to the staff. It might be easier to order with a touch panel system here. I started with a medium-sized draft beer, tuna, yellowtail, and sea bream. The beer was very cold and delicious! The tuna was also delicious. The rice was slightly sweet, which was nice. And all of this only cost 130 yen, which is a great deal. I have a child-like palate, so I like corn and tuna, and the corn was especially sweet and delicious. With the tuna, yellowtail, corn, and tuna alone, I felt like I could eat endlessly. Before I knew it, I had finished two medium-sized draft beers and 20 plates of sushi. It was a wonderful place where even a solo diner could casually drop by. I will definitely go back!

Kyoto Sushi / Fukuoka Kokura Tabelog 3.39 ✔︎ Medium fatty tuna, ark shell, large fatty tuna battleship, salmon fatty tuna, shrimp, etc. About 2,000 yen. A taxi driver in Fukuoka who operates a revolving sushi restaurant recommended this place, and it was the right choice! The Kokura branch has only one small lane and a counter. The town's revolving sushi is cute and exciting, and the sushi quality is high and delicious. The medium fatty tuna was especially delicious. I was surprised to see the shrimp moving. The ark shell was small but flavorful. The salmon was just delicious. And the sweet soy sauce was incredibly tasty. I intended to have a snack, but I ended up eating too much. Thank you for the meal.

【Overall】The best cost performance revolving sushi restaurant【Good points】 - Very cheap and close to the station, with many dishes priced at 100 yen and most items available for around 200 yen. The quality of the taste is comparable to major chain restaurants. 【Concerns】 - The restaurant is small, so it's better not to bring too much luggage. There seems to be a second floor, which might be more spacious.

This is a revolving sushi restaurant near Kokura Station. You can easily enjoy fresh sushi here. Even though we had a short time before catching the bullet train, we quickly ordered and savored freshly made sushi, then hurried to pay. Some items may be a bit pricey depending on the topping. Be careful as it can get crowded depending on the time of day.

I visited a conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Kokura for the first time in a while. They occasionally have marinated fatty tuna as a limited-time offering, but it wasn't available when I went. The marinated sea bream surprised me with its unexpected presentation.

At Ogura Station, my first choice for a solo lunch is to quickly jot down 2-3 intriguing menu items before the tea arrives, exuding an air of expertise. In my mind, I debate whether to go for the seared option... Tuna, scallions, mackerel, egg, and a few recommendations of the day catch my eye. Without hesitation, I order the sea urchin and salmon roe on a blue plate! Delicious~ Can I really eat this quickly at this price? Satisfied with my meal, I notice a sign offering a complimentary seasonal dish for app members just as I'm about to pay. Oh no, I forgot to order that last time. Next time for sure!

This day was a trip to Oita (*´▽`*)♪ However, it was the day when a typhoon was hitting directly, so JR Kyushu had completely suspended operations, and I had to stay in Kokura without any plans... Since I had free time, I decided to eat at this restaurant. However, it was a popular place and crowded until 3 pm even though it was already past 2 pm. It's true that for a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, it wasn't very automated, and the traditional feel may be what attracts customers. The sushi was reasonably priced and had a good variety, making it a good choice for a casual meal. I particularly enjoyed the recommended Pacific saury, which I had for the first time this year. As for the beer, the first one was Asahi Super Dry on tap, but I switched to bottled Asahi beer from the second one. As expected, Asahi is a great beer to drink, very tasty. One of the highlights was the freshly made tamagoyaki with plenty of dashi broth, which was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the tamagoyaki I ordered as a refill was just average, as shown in the photo. Overall, it was a sushi restaurant where you could enjoy a meal from lunchtime onwards. It seemed to be open continuously, so it's recommended if you end up having a late lunch. Thank you for the meal (๑ˇεˇ๑)•*¨*•.¸¸♪

During my trip to Kokura, I went to this restaurant for dinner on the first day. I was craving sushi! I had looked at a few options but many were closed on Sundays. Eventually, I ended up at Kyoto Sushi. Surprisingly, the sushi was delicious! It didn't look fancy and the rice was a bit loose, but the fish was tasty. Plus, it was casual and affordable! It was quite good! #KyotoSushi #Sushi #ConveyorBeltSushi #KokuraGourmet #FukuokaGourmet

If you love sushi and have kids, it can be difficult to find the time to enjoy a leisurely sushi meal. In recent years, I have been living far from good sushi restaurants, so I settle for conveyor belt sushi places. Some chain restaurants can be underwhelming, but Kyoto Sushi is a well-known and delicious spot. The quality of the sushi here is undeniable, and I definitely want to come back. If you find yourself thinking that the prices are high for conveyor belt sushi, consider that you are getting high-quality ingredients that you might pay more for at a fancy sushi restaurant. This perspective might help you appreciate the experience more.

The restaurant is located in an arcade about a 5-6 minute walk from Kokura Station. The interior has only a sushi counter. I had to wait 3-4 minutes after writing my name down due to it being full. I wanted to try something local, but there were no mentions of local dishes on the whiteboard. I ordered a few items from the menu, but many were sold out. There were signs on the whiteboard indicating items that were sold out, but other than those, there were surprisingly few options. If something is not available, please make sure to write it down.

In March, there was a department transfer and my last business trip to Kokura. My favorite places in Kokura were Amiraku and Shunkobo, but Amiraku was closed so I couldn't go. The last place I chose was Hiratsuhama. I had toro and negitoro rolls, horse mackerel, grilled eel, seared salmon, pickled mackerel, tuna, and swordfish. I also had two bottles of beer. The hiratsutoro and hamachi toro was 250 yen and had a great texture and was very delicious. The sushi pieces were small, so even after eating 10 plates, I didn't feel too full. The cost performance was great and I was very satisfied.

Location: Near a shady area Order: Omakase Best of the day: Sea bream Comments: Hmm. The expectations were too high. The rice was okay as I didn't have high hopes to begin with. Sea bream was decent. White fish was pretty reliable. Medium fatty tuna was a bit off. Striped jack was also different. The seared red snapper had a confusing concept. Well, it's cheap and doesn't have any fishy smell like Tokyo's conveyor belt sushi, so that's a plus.

I haven't visited this revolving sushi restaurant in a few years, but it used to be my favorite when I lived in Kokura. Since moving to Tokyo, I have had trouble finding delicious sashimi, so I decided to visit after a long time. I arrived after 2 PM and the place was still crowded. I was seated at the back and ordered a beer first. I looked through the menu and ordered horse mackerel and cutlass fish. When the dishes arrived, I was surprised to see that the way the fish was cut seemed a bit sloppy compared to before. It seems like the chain has expanded and become more like a franchise. I couldn't recapture the same excitement as before, but the taste was still good compared to other places in Tokyo. Anyway, thank you for the meal ☺️

At the rotating sushi restaurant, it is quite a small place with few seats. However, due to COVID-19 measures, they allowed us to use two seats. This time, I had salmon, cheese, otoro, seared squid, white fish (not sure what it was but it was the most delicious), and a 300ml bottle of sake.
