I bought some snacks from Kawayuan to open as souvenirs. Our snacks are mostly Japanese sweets. I love the Mitsukoshi wrapping paper. It's so elegant. I bought Naruto Kintoki sweet potato and Japanese sugar candy, both with no preservatives added. The Naruto Kintoki isn't sweet because of the sweet syrup made with Japanese sugar candy. It's a bit different from how a Silk Sweet baked sweet potato turns into custard cream. Kawayuan at Fukuoka Mitsukoshi Store, Fukuoka City, Chuo Ward, Tenjin 2-1-1, Fukuoka Mitsukoshi B2F.

Fukuoka Mitsukoshi 1st floor is a dream-like store where famous sweets from all over the country are available. The store was crowded with elderly people and the line at the register was quite long. Today's goal was the "Ikinari Manju" from Shiba Manju (184 yen), which is not a dumpling but a steamed bun. The photo was taken around 1 pm and there was still a good amount left. Usually, it gets sold out by the evening, so it seems safe to buy it at lunchtime. The "Ikinari Manju" looks very voluminous. It feels heavy even when holding it, making you excited even before eating it! When weighed at home, it was 207g. Shockingly, the calorie calculation was 424 kcal, oh my! When heated in the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds, it became soft and fluffy. The appearance is just too delicious-looking. When cut open, it looked beautiful, with two layers of sweet potato inside! Amazing! Review: Skin part -> very chewy and stretchy, delicious. Sweet bean paste -> sweetness rated 4 out of 5, graininess rated 4 out of 5. It was quite sweet with a solid grainy texture, also delicious. The amount of sweet bean paste was generous, packed all the way to the edges. Sweet potato -> it was so fluffy and delicious! Not too sweet, so it matched well with the sweet bean paste. When all these elements come together, it makes you feel so happy! With such a generous portion, you might be fully satisfied with just one! And all this for 184 yen, it's too cheap!

My favorite store~! They have new items every week, and I always go to buy Kurumikko. They had a Christmas version this time, so cute~! Today, I also bought Karinto. They give you a paper bag, so it's great for bringing as a gift~!
