I went to a restaurant that was featured on the TV show "Yo-i Don!" The store had the wrong day off listed, but I don't feel like correcting it. I tried the sweet potato lantern (100g for 368 yen) and the sweet potato sweet potato (292 yen). Both were delicious. The sweet potato was smooth with a natural sweetness. Thank you for the meal!

Limited time sale at Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store in Osaka. "Ame Kinjou Imo" 100g for 389 yen including tax. Taste: ★3.5 Cost performance: ★3.0 Delicious. Sweet potato wrapped in candy. The outside is crispy and sweet, while the inside is moist. The balance between the sweet potato and candy is good, and the sweetness is just right. A bit on the expensive side. Thank you for the meal.

I purchased it at the Takashimaya department store basement. I love sweet potatoes! There were delicious looking sweet potatoes like daigaku-imo, candied sweet potatoes, square-shaped sweet potatoes, and sweet potato glace, making it hard to choose. This time, I went with the thicker daigaku-imo. I was impressed by the variety of shapes of sweet potatoes, such as sliced, thinly sliced, and diced. I wanted to buy all types and compare them at home. The "Kinsho Namagusake Goma Kenpi" 100g for 389 yen looked delicious with its golden sweet potato and black sesame. It was quite filling and I enjoyed the crispy outside and fluffy inside of the sweet potato kenpi. It was a delicious treat on the way home! Thank you for the meal!

I heard from someone I was with just a week ago that they bought some sweet potato snacks here, so I felt like trying them out too (^O^) The sweet potatoes used here are Naruto Kintoki from Tokushima prefecture! As someone born in Naruto (well, just born there), it feels familiar to me. They make various snacks using Naruto Kintoki, such as University sweet potato, candied sweet potato, sweet potato chips, and sesame sweet potato chips, all sold by weight at 346 yen per 100g. I tried the sweet potato chips (200g) which are thicker than the usual crispy ones. The surface is crispy, but the inside is moist, more like a baked sweet potato. I warmed it up in the microwave and it became slightly softer on the outside while remaining fluffy inside. I froze half of the chips I bought, so I look forward to warming up the rest soon and enjoying them (^-^)

I bought warabi mochi at "Daikokuya" because it is a limited-time offer. They had sweet potato flavor and I tried it, it was delicious. However, I also tried the matcha flavor and it was equally delicious, so I bought that one. I purchased a pack of 5 matcha warabi mochi for 540 yen (including tax). I had it for dessert after dinner at home. It was slightly big, soft, and melted in my mouth. The matcha flavor was just right, and it was undeniably delicious. I wish I could have more. If I find it somewhere else, I will definitely buy it again. Thank you for the meal. June 2018.

I love sweet potato desserts! Occasionally, I have bought warabi mochi from Ookuniya, a shop in Namba. They specialize in sweet potato sweets using "Naruto Kintoki" sweet potatoes and handcraft each item with care. They offer a variety of sweet potato treats, such as Kintoki sweet potato snacks, peanut sweet potato snacks, Daigaku Imo, ame Kintoki Imo, golden warabi mochi, and matcha warabi mochi. The Daigaku Imo has a nice crunchy texture, and the variety of options keeps things interesting. The golden and matcha warabi mochi in the set are both chewy and flavorful. The texture is unique and reminds me of a Kyushu specialty called "akumaki." I always enjoy trying foods with a distinct texture, so I look forward to trying more unique treats like these in the future.

There was a temporary shop in the passage leading to the exit of Hankyu Department Store's basement, and I usually just pass by it. But I decided to take a peek and found a sweet potato shop. I was about to leave thinking it was too much for one person, but then the shopkeeper brought out a set of two kinds right in front of me. The timing was perfect! The price was discounted as it was close to closing time, so I decided to buy it. I tried both types - the soft white one and the crispy caramel-colored one - and I think I prefer the caramel one. But having two types kept me from getting tired of it. The shopkeeper recommended the last set of two kinds, so it was a nice touch.

At a gift-giving occasion... My son-in-law came to visit and brought a present. Just like me, he has a sweet tooth. He seems to buy and eat sweets himself, but when he comes to visit, he often brings sweets as gifts. He also knows that I write reviews on "Tabelog," so he tries to choose something different for me. Thank you, thank you (^_-)-☆ This time, he brought sweets in a box labeled "Daikokuya" that I had never seen before. At first glance, I couldn't tell what it was, but upon closer inspection, it said "warabimochi." So, I decided to chill it a bit before eating it the next morning. "Warabimochi" ... There were five pieces of warabimochi cut into squares in a long box. It was relatively firm, like yokan. The yellow powder was lightly sprinkled on top, so I added more yellow powder before eating it. The taste was light, and the sweetness of the yellow powder was average. I didn't feel anything particularly special, but it was delicious. Now, what will be next?? Thank you for the meal. 2017.05 Tabelog rating: 3.06 points

I received this as a souvenir ^-^ even before eating it, I could tell that the candy was generously coated, and it looked incredibly delicious. There were two types: one with sweet potato coated in candy, and another with sweet potato coated in caramel-like candy and sliced almonds. They are made using Naruto Kintoki sweet potatoes from Tokushima prefecture, and each piece is handmade. Now, let me try them m(_ _)m Both are coated generously in candy, crispy and incredibly delicious ♡ The sweet potato flavor is also strong, making it a favorite for someone like me who loves sweet things. There was quite a lot, so I saved some for the next day, but the crispiness remained even the next day. This was truly amazing. Normally, the candy would have melted by then. I haven't heard of Daikokuya before. It's in Daikoku town, huh. I would love to eat it again, and luckily, I saw them at a event in Harukas the other day. Of course, I bought some to take home ^-^ The staff said to put them in the freezer if there are any leftovers. I see! But they were gone in no time (^。^)

I bought these at Harukas. I tried the warabi mochi from Oonokuniya again, after enjoying their sweet potato snacks last time. I got a set of golden, red bean, and matcha warabi mochi. It was a good deal to get them all together, and they were generously sized. The golden one was chewy and elastic, the red bean had red beans mixed throughout, similar to yokan, and the matcha was not too sweet, with a mature taste. They were all delicious. I also enjoyed their sweet potato snacks before, and I'd love to try them again.

I bought it at Harukas. Every year, I buy a large amount of dried sweet potatoes, and my partner always says I eat too many sweet potatoes. However, I rarely eat baked sweet potatoes or sweet potato snacks. When I happened to pass by the store, the shiny sweet potatoes looked so delicious that I couldn't resist and went back the next day to buy some. I couldn't decide which one to get, so I bought a set with everything. It included ame-kintoki (sweet potato coated in candy), daigaku-kintoki (deep-fried sweet potato), kintoki-gomakenpi (sweet potato with sesame seeds), and kintoki-kenpi (sweet potato snack) for 1,080 yen. It's been over 10 years since I last had daigaku-kintoki. It tastes like boiled sweet potatoes. Ame-kintoki is coated in candy and deliciously sweet. The kenpi snacks are not just regular sticks of sweet potatoes; they are soft and packed with the flavor of sweet potatoes. I think I like kintoki-gomakenpi, kintoki-kenpi, ame-kintoki, and daigaku-kintoki in that order. It was delicious!

I purchased these sweet potatoes at a shop in the department store basement while on a business trip. I love sweet potatoes and often buy them at the supermarket. They cost a little over 300 yen for 100g, which is a bit more expensive than at the supermarket. I had high expectations when I brought them home. First of all, they are quite large. It feels like they used a whole sweet potato for each one. The texture is crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The caramel part has a lot of sugar that has solidified, but it's not too sweet or overwhelming. I only intended to have one, but ended up eating several without realizing it. They are great as a snack with tea, and also delicious on their own. I have to stop myself when I think about the calories, though. Both the taste and value for money are satisfying. My family also enjoyed them.

My mother bought some university sweet potatoes from the Takashimaya department store event in Sakai East because they looked delicious. They were so tasty as a snack that I went back to Takashimaya in the evening for some business and found them on sale for half price! They were also selling various types of warabi mochi, so I bought all of them. The warabi mochi is made using traditional methods, simmered in a pot and slowly cooled, resulting in a chewy texture that melts in your mouth as advertised. It was truly delicious, with flavors like black sugar, red bean, and matcha, making it hard to pick a favorite. There are also different varieties of university sweet potatoes available in a set, which is a great deal. Although I went to buy university sweet potatoes, the warabi mochi I bought on a whim turned out to be incredibly delicious.
