Umamimono Ouji sometimes uses a restaurant owned and run by a Chinese man named Liang, called "Chuka Katei Ryori Liangichi." The nearest station is JR Shin-Imamiya Station or Osaka Metro Dobutsuen-mae Station, or Hankai Line Shin-Imamiya Station, but the restaurant is located along a narrow alley where only one car can pass, making it a bit hard to find. Prince was able to find the restaurant easily on his first visit, but on subsequent attempts, he got lost several times and ended up giving up. Please use a map to find the restaurant.
When Prince visits Liangichi, he often orders the fried dumplings and spicy Sichuan noodles. However, the purpose of this day's visit was the "Zha Li Ji" (fried pork fillet). Prince wasn't sure if Liangichi offered Zha Li Ji, but when he looked at the menu, it was there! It was listed as "soft fried pork fillet." It seemed like 'soft fried' meant a soft (coating) fried dish. The dish that came out looked a bit like tempura squid?! Liangichi's Zha Li Ji has a snack-like feel and goes well with beer. Even though Prince was drinking alone, he found the Zha Li Ji easy to eat and finished it all. Wanting something more, he ordered the fried dumplings and wonton set. The set includes fried dumplings, wonton, and pickled vegetables for 500 yen. There is also a set with rice for 600 yen. Since Prince didn't want rice, he pointed to the 500 yen set on the menu and said, "I'll have this." The food arrived about 15 minutes after ordering.
Prince had tried the fried dumplings and wonton before. They were thin-skinned and medium-sized dumplings. Even women could eat them in one bite. The Asahi Super Dry beer Liangichi serves was visible in the photo. The dumplings were full of flavor and paired well with the refreshing dry beer. The wonton had finely chopped green onions floating on the soup surface, but it was a bit hard to understand. The wonton had a solid bite to it, and even without rice, it was filling.
The black thing in the soup is seaweed. The texture is similar to grated kombu, but the taste is a strong seaweed flavor. This seaweed flavor goes really well with the Chinese soup. After finishing the wonton, you can even drink up the last drop of soup. This Chinese restaurant is run by a Chinese man who handles everything from cooking to serving. In terms of customer service, there were times when it felt a bit overwhelmed, but on the other hand, the casual atmosphere where you don't have to worry even when drinking alone is something Prince likes. You can enjoy authentic Chinese home cooking in a casual way, so it's recommended. Since it's a small restaurant with only a counter, it can sometimes be full, so be prepared for that. (If that happens, walk about 7 minutes north and go to Kikoen instead).
