I visited a small restaurant called Mibunjo in Yoshimaru-en after hearing about it from a friend. The owner was running the place alone, and there were only seven seats. The most popular dish was the vegetable and egg curry, but they also had beef tendon curry, which was perfect for Kansai locals like me. You could choose from three sizes (S, M, L), add various toppings, adjust the spiciness, and all within a reasonable price of under 1000 yen. Next time, I might splurge a bit more on toppings. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited a Kanazawa curry restaurant for the first time. I ordered the DX Tonkatsu in medium spiciness. It cost 980 yen. The curry sauce is Western-style, sweet and savory, with a rich flavor and very delicious. It's not very spicy, and has a homey taste to it. The Tonkatsu was just average. The vegetable omelette was also delicious. The cabbage was fresh and made a good side dish. There was plenty of curry sauce, so it was not lacking. I also tried the Fukujinzuke on the table. The rice in the medium size was 280 grams, which was quite a lot, so next time I'll go for the small size. The Kanazawa curry was really delicious. I might like it more than Osaka's Joto Curry. Thank you for the meal!

There are only counter seats at this restaurant. It is a clean place once you enter. I ordered toppings of shrimp fry and chicken fry. The curry was thick and perfect for those who like it rich and hearty like me. The fries were crispy and delicious.

JR Sakawasen Misaoen Station is a rare Osaka-style Kanazawa curry restaurant located a short walk to the left after exiting the station. I stopped by for dinner after work. The interior has only 7 counter seats with acrylic dividers between them, making it a bit cramped, but with the end of the pandemic approaching, these may be removed soon. This is a branch of "Indian Curry," considered one of the originators of Kanazawa curry in Osaka. This time, I ordered the "Beef Tendon Curry" in a medium size (950 yen), which is likely not found in Kanazawa. The curry was served on a stainless steel plate without much wait. The rice was covered with a dark curry sauce, and shredded cabbage was placed on one side. The curry sauce was filled with chunks of beef tendon. As I tasted the curry sauce, I could feel the rich depth and mild spiciness typical of Kanazawa curry. The beef tendon was so tender, it melted in my mouth, enhancing the overall texture with its meaty flavor. For those who prefer a milder taste, this curry is perfect, but adding some chili pepper from the table can give it a bit more kick. The rice was cooked just right, not too hard or too soft. It paired well with the pickles and radish. This Kanazawa curry offers a comforting taste that you may find yourself craving from time to time.

Recently, I have been eating a lot of thick-cut pork cutlets, so I felt that the pork cutlet on this curry was not enough. However, this is a normal pork cutlet. I chose a spicy curry, but it's not extremely spicy, just enough to warm you up in the cold winter.

I visited the restaurant "Kanazawa Curry Four Seasons Indian" for lunch that day. Located near JR Mioshinjo Station, this is one of the few Kanazawa curry restaurants in Osaka. The curry served here is the Indian curry from Kanazawa, and this particular branch is a franchise of the original Kanazawa restaurant. I ordered the "DX Seafood Curry M 950 yen" from the voluminous DX (Deluxe) series, which includes white fish, scallops, and crab cream. The curry sauce was thick, true to the style of Kanazawa curry. The richness of the sauce paired perfectly with the shredded cabbage, a signature of Kanazawa curry. I highly recommend this restaurant to curry lovers! I enjoyed every last bite. This is a curry shop located a short walk to the left after exiting JR Sakawasen Line, Mioage Park Station. The interior has only 7 counter seats, and is run by a slightly older owner. This is one of the original shops of "Kanazawa Curry," a branch of "Indian Curry," and until recently, it was the only Kanazawa Curry shop in Osaka. However, recently, a "Go Go Curry" has opened in Sakai Higashi. This time, I ordered the hamburger curry in size M (850 yen). The curry was served on a stainless steel plate without much of a wait. The curry sauce, dark in color, covers the rice completely, with shredded cabbage on one side and a hamburger on top. It's a typical Kanazawa Curry presentation. I tried the curry sauce right away... it had a rich flavor typical of Kanazawa Curry, with a mild spice. The spiciness is a bit stronger than school lunch curry. The hamburger is medium-sized with a firm texture. Another characteristic of Kanazawa Curry is that you can eat it by stabbing it with a fork. The rice is not too hard or too soft, cooked just right. The combination with Fukujin pickles and rakkyo is also excellent. The reliable taste of Kanazawa Curry, I have visited again and again.

This is a curry restaurant located a short walk to the left from JR Sakawasen and Mio Sakurazono Station. The interior has only 7 counter seats, and the slightly older owner operates the shop alone. This shop offers Kanazawa curry, which is rare in Osaka, and is a franchise of "Indian Curry," considered the originator of Kanazawa curry. When expanding to Kansai, there was a big issue because of the famous "Indian Curry" shop in Osaka. Therefore, the shop name was not "Indian Curry" but "Four Seasons." The shop has properly severed ties with the Indian Curry shop in Osaka. I ordered the winter limited oyster curry in medium size (800 yen) this time. The curry was served on a stainless steel plate without much wait. The curry sauce, dark in color, covered the rice completely, with shredded cabbage on one side and two large oyster fritters on top. It had the distinctive appearance of Kanazawa curry. When I tried it with the pointed spoon, the rich flavor of the curry spread, but the level of spiciness was equivalent to a school lunch level. The spice level was mild. The oyster fritters were hot and juicy as they were freshly fried. I love oyster fritters, so this season is a delight for me. The rice was cooked just right, using Koshihikari rice from Shiga Prefecture. The addition of Fukujin pickles and rakkyo was also nice. Kanazawa curry lacks a bit of kick, but it has a soothing quality that makes you feel good. It's a taste that you occasionally crave.

I wanted to try a different type of curry after having Osaka-style spicy curry for a while, so I visited this place. The curry had a thick and gooey sauce with frozen cutlets and cabbage on top. If it had more spiciness and depth of flavor in the gooey sauce, it would have been more delicious. The rice was also sticky and clumpy. As it is now, I don't feel like going back...

I am very satisfied! It's a shame they don't have beer, but I can't drink today anyway because I'm driving... This is a recommended restaurant, so I'm already feeling satisfied. There are many toppings available on the menu. While the classic pork cutlet curry is good, I asked the owner for a recommendation since I came from far away, and he suggested the vegetable and egg curry, so I ordered that. When asked about the spiciness level, I said I wanted it slightly spicy! It's a good change for someone used to homemade curry. The taste alternates between spicy and mellow when you eat the egg. The vegetable and egg curry is recommended! My companion doesn't like spicy food, so they ordered a mild spiciness level, so even those who don't like spicy food can enjoy it. I will definitely come back again!

On a Sunday afternoon near the Meisho-en area, nowhere was open. Even the Khao Soi shop under the overpass was closed. I ended up jumping into the only place open on the main street. When I entered, it was packed. I ordered the Kanazawa curry... It was a curry with shredded cabbage on top. I ordered the pork cutlet curry. When it arrived, it was served on a silver plate, and the cutlet looked like it was definitely frozen... It looked like it wouldn't taste good. The curry was powdery, with a chocolate color, no richness or flavor, and the rice was dry and unpleasant. After taking a bite, I couldn't help but mutter "This is terrible!" I felt sorry for the ladies sitting next to me. Curry can be made so poorly...
