I had some business to attend to in Tenjin, so I stopped by quickly. I found both my favorite tobiko and shishamo available! It's rare to see both. Tobiko costs 165 yen, while shishamo costs 118 yen. Tobiko has a strong, crunchy texture, while shishamo has a light, crispy texture. Both are delicious, but the flavors and textures are quite different. The mountain of akagai (ark shell) with kazunoko (herring roe) on gunkan sushi with yuzu salt on the side costs 220 yen. The kazunoko is fresh and tasty. The fried squid legs cost 308 yen and are freshly fried, with a soft and chewy texture. It was all delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Today, my wife and I went to Tenjin and on our way back, we got hungry so we decided to have lunch. My wife wanted sushi, so we aimed for Hyotan Sushi. Although it was already past 11:30 am when they opened, we hoped there wouldn't be a long line. Unfortunately, there was a line of about 20 people outside the restaurant, so we decided to try Hyotan Sushi in Solaria underground instead. However, the line there was even longer. We remembered a street shop we had seen in Tenjin North before, so we decided to try it. It was Genkaimaru. There were a few people waiting inside, so we decided to wait as well. We started with a toast of beer and ordered the recommended dishes - an assortment of ikura, uni, and crab miso, snow crab, and chawanmushi. They were all delicious! The chawanmushi was surprisingly tasty with a rich broth and lots of ingredients. Next, we had tuna, otoro, salmon toro, maguro toro, live abalone, and assorted squid. Everything was fresh and incredibly tasty. As we started to get full, we ordered kohada, grilled live conger eel, and arajiru soup. We also had live flounder fin, which I forgot to take a picture of, and kanpachi to finish off. Everything was delicious, and we were very satisfied. We ate too much today. I visited around 4:30 pm in the evening. I was seated right away. I had 2 plates of toro, 2 plates of squid, 2 plates of gizzard shad, a plate of cured salmon, ikura, shrimp, avocado, cheese, fried cheese, and a mega highball. The total came to 4,399 yen. The local tuna toro from Nagasaki is highly recommended. The gizzard shad had just the right amount of sweetness and I ordered more. The cheese in the fried cheese dish was lacking, which affected the taste. Compared to other conveyor belt sushi restaurants, this one felt less lively.

It was a busy lunchtime in Tenjin with long lines everywhere, but finally my son and I were able to sit at the counter. Since we are on a budget, I only ordered plates that cost 108 yen each... My son also ordered some sushi rolls. Despite being cheap, the food was delicious. We had shrimp, salad rolls, and more. I would love to go back again ❤

It was good that we arrived before the restaurant got crowded before the movie. After we ordered, more and more customers started coming in! The fried oysters didn't come with lemon, and there seemed to be some difficulties, but they quickly brought it to us. We might have ordered too much, but all the dishes were served quickly and were delicious!

I went to my favorite restaurant. It was still lively with tourists on Sunday. However, I have to have my first colonoscopy in two days, so I decided to avoid oily fish and chose sea bream or flounder instead. After the examination, I will enjoy my favorite dishes to the fullest.

It was lunchtime, so I waited for about 15 minutes before getting a seat. The location seemed to be popular as there were many customers. The sushi restaurant didn't have any outstanding features, just a typical conveyor belt sushi place. Maybe it's because it's in Hakata. I wish they had different types of soy sauce to choose from, as they only had sweet soy sauce available.

In the past few days, I've been eating a lot of yakitori and grilled chicken thighs, so I felt like having sushi and decided to visit this place. I ordered fried squid legs, cheese tempura, potato fries, 2 plates of squid, assorted tuna, large fatty tuna, amberjack, salmon collar grilled, bottled beer, hot sake. The total was 4,691 yen. The large fatty tuna was consistently delicious. The amberjack had a good texture and was tasty. The cheese tempura stayed gooey even when it cooled down, making it a perfect snack.

I arrived at 2:00 PM on Saturday and had to wait a bit because the restaurant was full. This time, I came for the deep-fried skewers. The seafood skewers (scallops, shrimp, white fish, quail, and others) were crispy on the outside and satisfying to eat, perfect for a daytime drink. The tuna assortment of lean, medium fatty, and extra fatty tuna was all delicious. The fatty belly of yellowtail had a good amount of fat. This revolving sushi restaurant is recommended for those who want to leisurely drink from noon. Plates are priced at 98 yen, 190 yen, 320 yen for 2 plates, 400 yen for 2 plates, 500 yen, 600 yen, totaling 4,199 yen.

The other day, I visited and this is my second visit. I arrived at 4 pm and found that there were empty seats at the counter. I ordered Nagasaki bluefin tuna toro, potato salad, squid with melting cheese, fresh kanpachi, and hot sake. The total bill was 4,009 yen. I recommend ordering the potato salad without the strong flavor of seaweed. The squid with melting cheese was delicious and hot until the end. The cheapest squid was soft and flavorful, so I ordered two plates. The Nagasaki bluefin tuna toro had a good balance of taste and price, making it a must-have dish. Excluding major chain conveyor belt sushi restaurants, this place is my top recommendation in Fukuoka city.

I arrived at 5:00 pm and the restaurant was quite empty, so I was seated at the counter right away. I had bottled beer, sesame amberjack (rich flavor), premium grilled squid (average), tuna trio (highly recommended with fatty tuna), cream cheese and salmon prosciutto rolls (pickled radish was too soft), salmon roe (small but delicious), lemon salt trio, melting cheese fry (very hot cheese), two pieces of fatty tuna (recommended), potato fry, and two pieces of conger eel. The ingredients were generous in the steamed rice bowl. The total bill was 6,721 yen. The fatty tuna from Nagasaki was sweet and flavorful, very delicious. I think it's a good deal at 600 yen for two pieces. Highly recommended.

When you want to have a light sushi lunch in Tenjin Kita, the revolving sushi restaurant Genkaimaru Tenjin store is a good choice. It's especially convenient when you're short on time. After 12:15, you may have to wait a bit, but eventually you'll get a seat. The lunch menu catches your eye with the 500 yen option, but once you're inside, you'll be tempted by other menu items. I went for the most expensive option for lunch, the "Iro" (2,178 yen including tax)! It arrived promptly. The nigiri rice was shaped like it was made by a robot. Since it's a revolving sushi restaurant, I didn't pay much attention, but when I thought about it, today's bill was over 2,000 yen (; ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). I quickly enjoyed my meal and gathered energy for the afternoon work! The most delicious item was the chutoro! The recommended menu items with their place of origin are listed on a blackboard inside the restaurant. Is the sea urchin from Hokkaido? I wonder if the lunch menu is different. Genkai Maru is my favorite revolving sushi restaurant. I visited after a long time, and the Kanbachi was surprisingly delicious with plenty of fatty meat ❤ Besides that, I also had the Gokumi Zanmai, Anago, Toro Zanmai, seared cheesecake, squid tempura, clam soup, and they were all delicious as always. The staff are all very kind, it's the best ⤴️⤴️ I will definitely go again ☺️

Draft beer set for 980 yen! Found it on my own, right by the exit of the shopping center. Had sushi for dinner and drinks! The sushi was fresh and delicious. The regular menu has a wide range of options, from 100 yen items to more expensive ones. You can enjoy yourself here. You can even order just by looking at the menu on the touch panel.

I used it for lunch. It's sushi that doesn't rotate much. I didn't choose the gourmet sushi or the great value lunch set, but ordered a la carte! It was rare for my boss to treat me, so I enjoyed it without hesitation. All the toppings were fresh and thick, and delicious. It's nice to indulge once in a while!

A little north from the Tenjin intersection, just past Mos Burger, our restaurant is conveniently located for a quick bite. Unlike the busy revolving sushi restaurant at Solaria, there are no long lines here. I have been here many times, and I think the saba sushi at Daimyo Saba Sushi is good enough. I usually focus on light dishes, but when I crave something tangy in the heat, the well-marinated saba and konoshiro are good for the body. Overall, Daimyo Saba Sushi is the place to go. If they have battera (saba sushi wrapped in thick kelp), that's also a good choice. The balance of vinegar rice and saba, the portion size, and the separate dish of marinated saba make it a must-try.

I stopped by at lunchtime on Saturday. It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but the sushi doesn't go around on the belt. Instead, you order using a touch panel. The prices are higher than places like Sushiro or Kura Sushi, but the quality of the rice and fish is worth it. The menu includes not only sushi but also sashimi platters, and it's popular on UberEats. Even while eating, orders keep coming in non-stop. Unfortunately, they don't sell beer at lunchtime.

I went to Hamazushi to eat Otoro and Miso Katsu. It is located in Chiyoda, Hakata-ku, close to Marine Messe, Fukuoka Boat Racecourse, and Nagahama Market. This area faces Hakata Bay, also known as the waterfront district. In case Hamazushi didn't suit my taste, I also listed Genkai Maru Tenjin-ten, Mawaru Sushi Ichiba Nagahama-ten, and Sushi Gyotatsu as backup options. As expected, Hamazushi was just okay. It might be unfair to nitpick a 100-yen sushi plate. It was much tastier than Kura Sushi, Kappa Sushi, Kyushu Sushi Monogatari, Kaito, Sushi Daijin, and Sushi Meijin, but still not comparable to Sushiro. To make up for the disappointment at Hamazushi, I tried the Anago and Sea Grapes at Genkai Maru Tenjin-ten, along with Iberico Pork Toro. Anago was not available, but the Sea Grapes were amazing with their popping texture. I usually don't eat squid, octopus, or shrimp sushi as they seem cheap, but the raw shrimp and squid at Genkai Maru were exceptional. The raw shrimp, especially when paired with Hakata Special Grade soy sauce, was sweet and delicious. The reason I fell in love with Genkai Maru was their Hakata Special Grade soy sauce. Yesterday was Sushiro, today was Hamazushi. After having cheap soy sauce for a while, the depth and grandeur of Hakata Special Grade soy sauce really hit me. However, the sushi rice served in front of me was not great. It was too hard, almost like eating rocks crumbling in my mouth. The sweetness was too strong and it was warm. The temperature of sushi rice is crucial. Rolls and seared dishes are brought from the kitchen. The sushi rice brought from the kitchen was the usual taste of Genkai Maru. I finished with Seared Mayo Salmon and Iberico Pork Toro. The Seared Mayo Salmon can taste different depending on who makes it. Today's Seared Mayo Salmon lacked the smoky flavor but had a unique sweet and sour taste that was exquisite. However, it had less mayonnaise compared to other branches. The Iberico Pork had a strong meaty flavor and a crunchy texture, making it incredibly delicious. Despite having the same 8 plates as Hamazushi, the quality was just on a different level.

Located right by Tenjin Kita bus stop, or about a 2-3 minute walk from Tenjin subway station. I thought they would specialize in seafood caught at Fukuoka's port, but that wasn't the case. Overall, they offer a fairly standard menu. Glancing at the menu, I got the impression that they offer a lot of seared dishes. When eating fish in Kyushu, sweet soy sauce is a must. Some people from Kanto may find the difference from regular soy sauce a bit strange, but to each their own. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

Rotating sushi restaurant along the main street. I had never seen this place before, and despite it being a holiday afternoon, there were plenty of empty seats. I walked in without waiting and sat at the counter (where I was the only customer). I ordered chawanmushi and selected some sushi using the touch panel. The taste was decent. The tuna was delicious, but in comparison to other popular sushi chains, the cost performance was not as good.
