"Fujimaru revolving sushi in Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City. I love the main store in Chuo-ku and have visited it several times, but this store is my first time. As always, there are multiple attractive toppings on the 180 yen plates. Ordered items such as flat clams, horse mackerel, mackerel, sardines, sea bream, flounder, and tiger puffer on plates priced at 180 yen, 230 yen, and 300 yen. Did the main store also use a machine to make the sushi rice balls? I wonder when that changed. The rice balls are tightly packed and have sharp corners. While other nationwide conveyor belt sushi chains have a softer touch, I wonder if there wasn't a better robot available. However, the impression is still that they excel in blue fish. But if they offer white fish with grated radish, I wish they would provide ponzu sauce as well. It's also a big disappointment that they only have sweet Kyushu soy sauce and no other options. With this experience, it's hard to consider coming back."

There are many conveyor belt sushi restaurants that emphasize affordability, but most of them make you think "well, it's cheap so it's okay." Also, some places have good quality fish but the rice is not good. However, this place has a good balance between the fish and rice, making it delicious to eat. I recommend trying the chef's special that is not listed on the menu. The seafood battleship, with plenty of thinly sliced fish piled up for 100 yen per plate, has incredible value. The taste is not to be underestimated! With three people, we were completely full for 2,200 yen!

It's been a while since I visited a revolving sushi restaurant. This place doesn't have a set price per plate, but ranges from 100 yen to around 500 yen (maybe 800 yen). You order using a touch panel, so I don't think anyone takes the sushi that's going around. I usually like to order mayonnaise-based battleship sushi at conveyor belt sushi restaurants, and it's the same here. Sometimes the orders take a while to arrive, but the place was getting crowded so it's understandable haha. I had about 10 plates and then finished. Thank you for the meal.

I had used this revolving sushi restaurant for lunch before, but I had never felt like ordering a rice bowl and always skipped it. However, this time I decided to try the "Sesame Mackerel Rice Bowl Lunch Set" for the first time. It came with a side dish and miso soup for only 680 yen, which felt like a great deal. The amount of sesame mackerel was sufficient, and I didn't need to order extra, but I couldn't help but snack on a few plates while waiting. I want to try all the lunch bowl varieties soon.

Recently, I have been enjoying dishes such as eel vinegar, fish roe simmered in broth, nanban-zuke, and vinegar-marinated sea bream skin in addition to the usual clear soup and chawanmushi. My favorites are the eel vinegar and fish roe simmered in broth - whenever they are available (which is not guaranteed), I always make sure to order them. This time, I ended up having two servings of the fish roe.

When you come here, you must order the Kanpachi belly!! The fatty belly has a firm texture and delicious flavor, providing a satisfying eating experience. It sells out quickly so be careful. The eel vinegar dish I tried for the first time this time had more eel than I expected, with crab sticks, shredded egg, and a perfect sweet vinegar taste, becoming my new favorite. Personally, I prefer the thinner type of kombu in the batter.

After finishing work in Tokunaga in the West District, I planned to visit a restaurant in Ima-Juku, but it had closed down and a Tsuruha Drug store was in its place. There is a related store in Odabe as well. When I visited, the location had changed, near places like Sekibunkan Bookstore. It used to be where Shi-Jack was located. It was a bit further east before, around where Nakau was. Parking is easier now at this location. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. Orders were made through a touch panel, similar to Ima-Juku. However, unlike Shi-Jack, there were no chefs inside. I ordered 8 plates mainly priced at 150 yen each, including natural bream, seared barracuda, leatherfish, barracuda, whitebait gunkan, negitoro roll, fugu (probably a cheaper type), and tare mayo. The quality of the fish was good, but the negitoro roll and tare mayo took a bit longer to arrive. The tare mayo was made by searing white fish and topping it with sauce and mayonnaise. It's not like the 100 yen sushi, so it's understandable. I was looking forward to the mackerel, but unfortunately, it was out of stock that day. It's rare to find a place that serves raw mackerel on a conveyor belt sushi, so it was disappointing. There are also interesting side menu items available. Overall, if you have the chance, it's worth trying.

For lunch, I went to the famous restaurant "Fujimaru" where I used to go often in the past and had sushi ( ̄~ ̄) Yummy... The Uni Ika Gunkan was delicious! Anago and Engawa were also great! By the way, this is where I learned how delicious Engawa can be! The seaweed was crispy and had a nice aroma!

<Additional Note> The service where the craftsman would hand-roll the sushi has been discontinued. Somehow, the Shinkansen model that used to deliver sushi has been replaced by a regular conveyor belt sushi, where even the rice is machine-made. What a shame... Fuji Maru is a chain of conveyor belt sushi restaurants, with one located near Nejihama Station. My first visit was to the Nejihama branch, but I was not impressed. The rice was machine-made, and the tuna seemed like it had been thawed. The prices were mostly around 130-150 yen per plate, which was affordable. The ikura and uni were also priced at 150 yen per plate. The clam soup was also priced at 150 yen and very cheap. At the Nejihama branch, orders are placed using a touch screen LCD monitor in front of you, and when the sushi approaches, an announcement saying "Your order is arriving soon" is made. It felt quite impersonal. About a year later, without realizing it was the same Fuji Maru, I visited the Otabe branch. There, the sushi was not rotating much, and there were two craftsmen-like individuals hand-rolling the sushi. Judging by their skill, they seemed like seasoned veterans. Orders were still placed through the LCD screen, but at this branch, the craftsmen would personally hand the sushi to you. There was also a young man who seemed to be using a robot to make the rice. Upon closer inspection, it seemed that the seared and gunkan sushi were made by machine. However, the raw fish like tuna and sea bream were hand-rolled by the craftsmen. Sushi hand-rolled by craftsmen tends to have a softer texture and better taste compared to machine-made ones. The fish and rice at this branch somehow tasted better than at the Nejihama branch. The tuna had a nice texture without the thawed feel, and the rice had a proper vinegar flavor. However, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the craftsmen rolling sushi for only 150 yen per plate. It's probably difficult to change the prices at a chain restaurant. It's a very cost-effective restaurant and has become one of my favorites.

I haven't been to the popular famous restaurant recently, so I'm not sure, but I feel like it was better before. The Kanpachi and Iwashi soup for 150 yen has a good value.

I entered the restaurant and looked at the menu, finding out that this restaurant starts at 150 yen for nigiri. This was my first time trying a 150 yen revolving sushi, so I placed my order with a bit of excitement. (I have been to 100 yen restaurants, as well as those above 150 yen, and also non-revolving sushi restaurants before.) Among revolving sushi restaurants that don't have many distinguishing features, here are my thoughts this time: - The sushi pieces are slightly larger than those at 100 yen revolving sushi restaurants. - Even with the same type of sushi, the size varies depending on the plate. - There are few pre-made sushi pieces rotating on the conveyor belt, and most are made after you place an order. (This is a good thing.) - The wasabi is small, about the size of a grain of rice, and has a mild kick. - The service is polite. That's about it.

After having ramen, the owner picked up the car and for some reason, came over to this place, probably because it caught their attention, being right in front of the cannon ramen restaurant where we had lunch. There is a large parking lot on the premises where there are other shops like a bookstore in a separate building. The owner suggested having 2-3 plates of sushi as a light snack, but um, I'm already full from the ramen. I didn't want to wait in the car, so I went inside with them. Orders were placed through a touch panel. You can't choose the amount of rice, but you can choose whether to have wasabi. Plates range from 150 yen (excluding tax) and there are some higher-priced "special selection" items. Most of the sushi isn't rotating on the belt, they are made fresh after you order. The tuna looks surprisingly nice and the taste is okay. The scallop also looks nice and tastes good. The horse mackerel with ginger is just average. The seared salmon has onion slices and mayonnaise on top, and it comes without wasabi. It might be a favorite for kids. The negitoro roll was decent for 150 yen per piece. The owner thought it's not bad for 150 yen considering even convenience store onigiri costs around the same. So, they rated it a "3". The total bill for 5 plates was 810 yen, which is cheaper than having coffee at a cafe. It was like using the revolving sushi restaurant as a post-meal cafe substitute.

I want to choose a revolving sushi restaurant like this one where I can pick from the ones going around!!! 11:00 Open, 11:05 I try to sit at a seat, but the staff says, "There's nothing going around there, please come this way," and points to the colorful menu boards that are the only things going around. 11:07 The staff finally makes the order that the customer before me placed. 11:13 I'm getting irritated to the point where I consider taking something from the rotating menu boards. 11:15 I reach my limit. I order sea bream. 11:18 Finally, a plate of corn mayo starts going around the lane. 11:19 Following the corn mayo, squid salad starts rotating. 11:21 I give up and order horse mackerel, deciding to leave. 11:22 A large number of plates are brought to the staff. 11:25 After 25 minutes since opening, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, fish appears on the lane! At this point, there were about 10 customers. Still, only one piece at a time, the sushi going around. Beyond anger, I am amazed and decide to refresh my mouth at Genkai Maru in Nekohama.

We went out as a family and ended up having dinner at this restaurant for the first time in a few years because we were running late. It's a popular spot, so it was starting to get crowded with customers by the time we arrived around 6 pm, but we were lucky to be seated right away. The prices vary depending on the plate, ranging from 100 yen to 500 yen, so you can enjoy a bit of luxury depending on your budget at this conveyor belt sushi restaurant. I had a total of 9 plates that day, with the most expensive being 300 yen for red clam, and the rest mainly around 130 yen each. When my son, without looking at the prices, decided to order the 500 yen fatty tuna because it looked delicious, I was a bit shocked. Oh, the innocence of children can be scary sometimes. While I do use conveyor belt sushi restaurants with fixed prices, I still prefer places where I can enjoy slightly more expensive but delicious dishes when I feel like it, so this type of restaurant is convenient for those situations. Thank you for the meal!

I don't care where he is or what he's doing, as long as he's back late tonight. We both live our lives freely. However, if he's not here, I'll have to figure out dinner on my own. By chance, I came to Odabe in Sawara Ward, Fukuoka City on a weekday. I found a sushi restaurant I had never heard of before. I parked my car in the parking lot and searched for the store on Tabelog. It seems to be a slightly higher-end conveyor belt sushi place, with comments comparing it to Sushiro and Kura Sushi. I decided to get some sushi to go. I visited the restaurant around 1 PM on a weekday. When I told the female staff about my intention to take the sushi to go, she prepared a takeout pack for me. I was seated and could order using a touch panel. Some of the dishes I ordered were: ⚫ TAI (sea bream) = 200 yen ⚫ KANPA (flounder) = 200 yen ⚫ ENGAWA (fluke fin) = 150 yen ⚫ KAWAHAGI (thread-sail filefish) = 150 yen ⚫ AYU (sweetfish) = 150 yen ⚫ IWASHI (sardine) = 150 yen With these 6 plates of 12 pieces, it should be enough for dinner. The female staff member, who was watching me, replaced the small container pack with a larger one. I couldn't see the sushi chefs at work. The sushi was brought to me on a conveyor belt and packed for takeout. The takeout was put in a cooler box, and I was happy to see the large sweetfish and sardine, as I love oily fish. The texture of the fluke fin was good, but I couldn't tell what kind of fish it was. I think it's flounder, but as long as it tastes good, I don't mind. After eating these 6 pieces, I was satisfied. I don't eat much for dinner, so I decided to save the rest for when he comes back. However, even though it's takeout, the wasabi seemed to have lost its kick. Is this what they mean by "losing its edge"? When he came back around 9 PM, I fed him the sweetfish and flounder. He commented that they lacked firmness. He also mentioned that the wasabi didn't have much of a kick. I don't feel bad about eating earlier. Compared to the major conveyor belt sushi chains, this place seems much better. It made me want to dine in next time I visit. I'm curious about their affordable lunch menu.
