Unlike traditional Japanese curry, the spiced flavors make the rice more enjoyable. The naan bread is large and comes in various types, making it fun to try different ones. The side chicken is also spicy and appetizing. The portions are small, so you can enjoy a variety of dishes.

B lunch set (¥850) was delicious. However, it would have been fine without the chicken tikka for ¥650, don't you think⁉️

I have been passing by this shop on my way home for a while and it caught my interest. The prices seemed average for a curry restaurant. The food was cheap, delicious, and came in generous portions! It was quite empty when we went, almost like a private reservation. It always seems to have space available, so I think it's a great hidden gem for locals looking for authentic curry. The staff may speak broken Japanese, but they were polite and nice.

Lunch is around 1000 yen. Dinner, the main curry dishes are around 1200-1500 yen. A la carte dishes range from around 300 to 500 yen. I visited the restaurant 2-3 times but couldn't distinguish it from an Indian curry place. However, all the curries were delicious. I particularly liked the size of the naan, which was large and very satisfying. I loved the garlic naan the most, so I would only have it on the day before their day off. On other days, I would have the cheese naan. The red chicken dish in the photo was incredibly tasty, although I can't remember its name. The owner doesn't talk much, but the lady who I assume is the owner's wife is very good at Japanese and handles the customer service. Once, she even appeared in a photo with me and gave me a complimentary lassi. The only downside is that the owner occasionally goes back to their hometown in Nepal, so the restaurant may be closed for an extended period.

I am "Noronori", who mainly explores lunch spots around Sakai. I feel like there has been an increase in Nepalese restaurants recently. Is it just my imagination? This place used to be a traditional Japanese restaurant or something? The interior has a Japanese feel, but they have incorporated Nepalese elements. I ordered from the lunch menu. I had chicken curry with naan, rice, salad, and a drink. The curry had a light flavor. Original source: http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/norinoribenben20072000/33842409.html

I had been curious about Bebika near Mozu station for a while. The location is near Mozu station, heading towards Mozu Hachiman, before the stone torii gate. It is an authentic Nepalese cuisine restaurant. The menu looks like this. I ordered the dinner set for 950 yen. First came the salad with a dressing packed with the flavor of vegetables, perfect for the salad. Then came the naan and papad. The papad is like a cracker made from beans, but thinner. The naan was huge! The chicken curry was, of course, very spicy. It starts with a sweetness and then gradually the spiciness comes, but it's not that spicy. You don't really feel the spiciness or the spice. It may have a unique taste, but it was quite different from what I expected. I noticed they had chicken biryani on the menu, so I had to order it. I could eat as much as I wanted since it was dinner time. The presentation was nice with the cabbage. However, when I took a bite, it tasted like tomato ketchup pilaf. The rice was white, so maybe the spices didn't blend well. It had zero spice flavor. It felt more like an adaptation of authentic taste for Japanese people rather than the real taste. I ended with another mango lassi. I love it so much! So, that's how my dining experience went.

This is in the middle of a bullet tour in Okinawa, but here is an update on a new restaurant in Mozu. A Nepalese restaurant has opened. The opening day was like Valentine's Day. The ramen restaurant I was rooting for has closed. Today, I am having a solo lunch. The restaurant had some customers already. I sat alone in the back. When it comes to Nepalese cuisine, it is similar to Indian curry. I ordered naan, chicken, and curry, which also came with a salad. The curry options were chicken curry or the daily special. Today's special was Keema, and you could choose the level of spiciness. I asked for extra spicy, and the owner asked if I was okay with it. The first curry wasn't very spicy, so I shook my head. The owner made another one for me, and this time it was spicy. I also received homemade Nepalese pickles. Everyone smiled and said thank you. It was a delicious meal.

I visited Bebica for lunch. When I opened the door, a Nepalese father, mother, and daughter greeted me warmly. They all spoke fluent Japanese, and the daughter was beautiful. The restaurant was cozy with a few small tables and a calm atmosphere with Nepalese music playing softly. The interior had a Japanese touch, creating a homely feeling. They explained the dishes carefully, and I ordered the B lunch set for 850 yen with a drink, which came with chicken tikka curry. I chose medium spiciness level (1). The food was delicious, with a mildly spicy and creamy curry, fresh salad with tangy dressing, and hot, fluffy naan bread. The chicken tikka was flavorful and tender. They also served hot chai after the meal, which was soothing. The service was attentive and made me feel relaxed. I would like to visit again for dinner as the prices are reasonable.

This is a small restaurant that I visit regularly. The Nepalese owner is very friendly and provides great customer service. I often order takeout of butter chicken curry, cheese naan, and malai tikka. They adjust the spiciness to suit Japanese taste buds, so it's easy to enjoy. The naan is packed in aluminum foil while still warm, so you can enjoy the delicious aroma at home too! I have no complaints except for their irregular closing days.

Before 1 pm on a holiday afternoon, I visited a restaurant near the nearest JR Hanwa Line Momoyama Station to Emperor Nintoku's Mausoleum. There is also a coin parking nearby, making it reasonably accessible. The restaurant is located on the first floor of a two-story longhouse, and the owner, who seemed to be from Sri Lanka, greeted me warmly with a friendly smile. Inside the restaurant, there were three 4-seater tables, and I was the only customer there. I sat at the table I was directed to and presented my lunch passport for ¥540. With the lunch passport, I could get the B lunch for ¥850. I had a choice between chicken curry or today's vegetable curry and the level of spiciness. I also selected a drink. I chose the spicy chicken curry and mango lassi. While looking around the Nepalese-themed interior and other menu items, the curry arrived after about 10 minutes. It was a generous portion of naan with chicken tikka on top, along with chicken curry, rice, and salad. The naan's sweetness and flavor stood out more than the spiciness of the curry at first, but as I continued eating, the heat of the curry caught up. It was a type of heat that gradually built up even after eating. The chicken tikka, eaten with a spoon and wrapped in naan, had a satisfying texture. The salad with a mellow dressing was a nice break from the spoon. Finally, I dove into the rice in the curry dish, which provided a comforting end to the meal. While I wished the curry had a bit more sweetness and flavor, I still found the authentic Nepalese curry quite delicious. The mango lassi, a sweet drink I don't usually have, paired well with the spicy curry. Overall, I enjoyed a delicious curry lunch with naan and rice at the authentic Nepalese restaurant "Bebika." Highly recommended! - MASA☆RU
