November 3rd is Godzilla's 65th birthday. Godzilla's favorite food is nuclear power plants and nuclear submarines. While Godzilla eats nuclear fuel, he doesn't eat much cake, so I end up eating it. Since I don't really like sweet things either, I have celebrated his birthday with a small cake in the past, but this year is different. I have reserved a birthday celebration course at a yakitori restaurant. This way, I don't have to worry about consuming the cake in front of others, and I can buy a decorated cake. Although I prefer chocolate shops as a fan of dark chocolate, it's difficult for me to go all the way to Gofukumachi after work, so I bought the cake from Sugar Bear. The aroma of cocoa and the moist texture of the cake are more to my liking at chocolate shops, but it was delicious. Speaking of Sugar Bear, they are known for their Atago Choux. Even though I don't eat sweets much, dark chocolate and choux cream, Hakata Orimon, and Kokura Gion Taiko are all different. It's my second favorite cake shop in Niehama. I must go buy some choux cream again soon.

I asked for a birthday cake with a portrait of my important person (wife) who is ○○ years old. When I asked if they could show me the actual portrait, they replied, "It's okay." Thank you for making a cake that looks just like the portrait. I gave it to my wife as a surprise, and she was very surprised and happy.

This cake shop in Minamihama is always seen when coming for a late-night snack. I stopped by for the first time. Inside, there are baked sweets and pastries on the left, and cakes on the right. There are quite a variety of cakes, priced around 400 yen. This time, I wasn't very hungry, so I bought the best-selling chocolate roll cake (sliced). I will enjoy it slowly at home. My companion bought something that looked like a Fromage (cheesecake). The chocolate roll cake had diced chocolate inside the roll cake and was quite delicious. It's no wonder it's popular. They also said the Fromage was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

When you feel like eating cream puffs, head to Atago Choux! They fill the cream for you when you order. The pastry is crispy like a cookie dough. The cream is also generously filled. The size is just right, not too big or too small. I have never tried other cakes, so I will definitely buy them next time!

This cream puff is definitely worth buying! On the way back from running errands, it was just before dusk, but the door of the shop was open, so I didn't have high expectations as I stepped inside. Relying on word of mouth that said "(Atago cream puff is recommended!)", I peered into the showcase, but to my disappointment, the staff informed me that they had just sold out and were in the process of baking more. Oh well, in that case, I considered changing my choice to one of the fresh sweets in the showcase. The staff recommended a tart with strawberries, which seemed fitting for this season. I also thought the tea-flavored pastries looked delicious. As I pondered over my options, I received the good news that the Atago cream puffs were ready. They were filled with plenty of cream, had a very pleasant texture, and the almond flavor in the choux pastry was a nice touch. It was delicious.

I'm not someone who usually goes for sweet treats, but I love raw chocolate and cream puffs. When it comes to cream puffs, my favorite is from Shu Cafe in Yahata Nishi Ward, Kitakyushu City. In Fukuoka City, I really enjoy the Chocolate Shop's raw chocolate cookie choux in the east, and the Atago choux from Sugar Bear in the west. I'm not quite sure why they call it Atago choux in Nokonoshima, but there must be a reason for it. Perhaps it's because there used to be a Nokonoshima Choux at the cake shop in Nokonoshima Dateosu (now Ekimachi 1-chome Nokonoshima)? The crispy pastry and rich custard cream with just the right amount of sweetness are irresistible.

This is a shop I stumbled upon while walking around. The exterior is very fairytale-like and caught my eye. The wooden structure is very cute. Inside the shop, there is a sweet smell of cakes that is hard to resist. The staff are enviable. The shop is spacious and offers a wide variety of baked goods including cakes, cream puffs, and scones. It's hard to decide what to get. We decided to try their popular cream puff first. Of course, you can choose to have cream added to it. We took it home and let it sit for a bit before eating. The top of the pastry is crispy like a cookie, while the inside is moist with creamy filling that oozes out. It was delicious! Cream puffs are always good, but I appreciated the size and volume of this one, without it being too heavy. They also had fresh scones that looked incredibly tasty, so I can't wait to try those next time!

The shop has a house-like style, and there are about four parking spaces in front of the shop, so it's okay to go by car. It was in the evening, so many of the sweets were sold out, but inside the shop, they were promoting something called "Atago Choux." It seems that they fill the cream after purchase, and there were piles of choux pastry dough. This time, I chose something other than Atago Choux, but all the sweets looked delicious and reasonably priced. I will challenge Atago Choux next time. ^^

The cream inside is moderately sweet and delicious. - Fromage (320 yen) - It is said to use two types of cheese. It's average. - Scones (140 yen) - I bought one with orange peel and one with blueberry. Both have the same dough, but I preferred the blueberry one. The dough is a bit hard but the surface is crispy. The prices are slightly lower compared to buying in places like Tenjin. I recommend the Atago Choux.

I received sweet potato sweets again♡ It's amazing timing to receive them one after another (lol). I thought I should upload it since I received it, but wait, did I already post about it? When I looked closely, I realized that I had completely forgotten to upload the photo of the delicious sweets I received from Sugar Bear earlier because they were so good (^o^;). I am very happy to receive these little treats from my friend. The small sweet potato is a moist type made with sweet potatoes from Kagoshima Prefecture, and the black sesame on top adds a nice touch. I enjoyed it as it was not too moist or crumbly, which I don't mind. Ah~ I am satisfied with just one piece. Although I received it for my family, I only uploaded the portion I ate myself... which means I ended up eating two pieces (lol). Thank you for the meal! The sweets I uploaded before were also delicious, but my memories of each one are vague so I will refrain from sharing them this time.

I received a recommended birthday cake from my colleagues at work, and it was my first time visiting this bakery. The cake looked simple, but when I tasted it, it was so delicious! The sponge cake was fluffy, and the combination of mascarpone cream and light cheese flavor was amazing. After the first bite, I thought to myself, "I can finish a whole cake of this!"♥️

I stopped by to buy cakes before a board meeting at a nearby beauty salon. The shop was crowded with customers, and I quickly picked some cakes for home. I also bought the Choux Cream on the spot, which was delicious. In the end, I bought four different sweets, including the Bear Cheese, Bear Milk Pudding, Caramel Eclair, and Atago Choux. The Bear Cheese is a fluffy and creamy cheesecake made with Hokkaido cream cheese. The Bear Milk Pudding is a creamy pudding made with Jersey milk and vanilla beans. The Caramel Eclair is a delicious eclair filled with caramel custard. The Atago Choux is a popular item where cream is filled into the choux on the spot.
