Good evening! I recently visited "Yakiniku Katsuragi," a restaurant in Sakai that is known for being extremely difficult to make reservations at! They operate on a strict 90-minute reservation system, so be sure to make a reservation in advance! (For more details, check the restaurant's account profile.) This time, I tried the restaurant's specialty, or rather, Sakai's specialty, the Chateaubriand! It's a must-try if it's your first visit. The menu simply says "expensive"...!! With a bit of fear, I clenched my wallet and placed the order. The A5-ranked beef is placed in front of you, but the owner will cook it for you, so just wait for a while. While I was busy taking pictures of this massive piece of meat, the owner came over and chatted with me while looking at my Instagram profile. Just as I was getting ready to take a picture, I noticed the flames of the Chateaubriand rising! Be sure to capture it with your camera as it only lasts for a moment. The cooked Chateaubriand is thinly sliced by the owner and beautifully arranged in front of you! My mouth was watering at this point. When ordering this, it's recommended to also order a raw egg over rice (TKG) or TKG with mentaiko and mix it together on the rice. I personally prefer to just dip the meat in soy sauce, but I went ahead and took some photos for the 'gram. It was incredibly delicious though! My wallet may be feeling a bit empty, but my taste buds are happy, so I'm happy too. In addition to the Chateaubriand, we also had some tender tongue, which was covered in fat, some raw tripe (which was surprisingly tasty), harami, loin, and shima-cho (strip loin). We ended up feeling quite full after indulging in all these meats. The total bill for two people came out to a little over ¥30,000. While the Chateaubriand is indeed pricey, the quality of the other meats was also excellent, making it worth the cost. I would love to go back every month, but such a luxurious meal might have to wait until next year. Thank you for the wonderful meal! The food was incredibly delicious, and it's no wonder it's so popular.
