On the way from Namba to Kuromon Market, there is a butcher shop that also runs a nearby sukiyaki restaurant and sells freshly fried side dishes. I decided to stop by as I had some time and an empty stomach after having lunch. I bought the "Croquette (¥70)" and the "Juicy Meatball (¥140)". After paying, they started frying them for me. I sat on a chair inside the shop and waited for about 8 minutes before receiving my order. They put the fried items in a paper bag and also gave me a plastic bag. Since they were too hot, I decided to walk a bit to let them cool down before eating. The coating was thin, crispy, and light. However, there was a slight bitterness, possibly due to the oil not being drained well. The "Croquette" had a smooth mashed potato-like texture with plenty of well-textured minced meat, which was expected from a butcher shop. The "Juicy Meatball" was moist with a white color, possibly due to soy protein or a binder. It had a generous amount of onions and was seasoned just right, so I could enjoy it without any additional condiments. It felt like the issue might be the timing or the quality of the oil, which was a bit disappointing. Choosing a meat-based item might give a different impression.

On this day, I got off at Nipponbashi Station on the Osaka Metro and on my way to the spice restaurant I was heading to, I was drawn to a building that exuded an old-fashioned charm. As I approached, I noticed that it was a butcher shop established in the 17th year of the Meiji era, with a sukiyaki restaurant called "Hon Sekiguchi" adjacent to it. It stood out amidst the bustling crowd. Since I was already there, I decided to visit it after lunch, only to find out that the spice restaurant I was originally planning to go to was closed. Eventually, I ended up stopping by "Yangtze River Ramen" by chance. Inside the store, there were croquettes, minced cutlets, beef cutlets, and other items available at reasonable prices. I ordered 5 pieces of "Sekiguchi Croquette (70 yen each)" and had them fried for takeout. After paying, I tried one outside the store, but it had an odd taste, possibly due to the poor oil condition, and the flavor and frying texture of the potato were mediocre. The remaining 4 pieces I took home were the same... The croquettes from the butcher shop established in the Meiji era did not meet the expectations I had. Nevertheless, the butcher shop, with its traditional value of over 130 years, still thriving in the bustling area near Nipponbashi Station, offers various items such as a Wagyu beef skewer for 140 yen, a juicy minced cutlet for 140 yen, and a bite-sized pork loin cutlet for 80 yen. If I have the opportunity to get off at Nipponbashi Station again, I would like to visit this place.

I wandered around Senbayashi and ate minced cutlet at Sekiguchi Butcher Shop! It was made from black wagyu beef! One day, while wandering around Senbayashi, I found a delicious looking butcher shop, so I decided to buy minced cutlet! It was very affordable, easy to order, and of course, it was freshly fried and overflowing with meat juice, the meaty sensation was really amazing. I would love to go there again.

I usually don't review deli or bakery items, but while exploring the area around Sennichimae and Nihonbashi this morning, I came across this place Σ('◉⌓◉') Sekiguchi Butcher Shop. It seems they sell minced cutlets (*≧∀≦*) When it comes to minced cutlets, I remember the delicious minced cutlets from a butcher shop in Yamanaka Onsen that I visited with my parents before ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡ This place is an old established shop, so I was sure it would be as delicious as that shop!! I decided to visit the shop without hesitation (^O^)/ It seems they only sell a set of 3 special croquettes, but you can order the minced cutlet individually (^O^)/ I ordered the special minced cutlet and had it fried on the spot, getting it piping hot!! I tried a bite outside the shop, but... hmm, honestly, it wasn't delicious at all (´・ω・`) And the oil was dripping, my hands were getting dirty, and it was hot, so I was in trouble (ノД`) I thought about throwing it away, but then I remembered that there are people in the world who want to eat but can't, so I tried my best to finish it, but it was quite painful ( ´△`) I won't be going back here again...

I bought croquettes from this place once before and decided to come back for more. This time, I purchased beef croquette, minced cutlet, and Wagyu minced cutlet. They were all delicious! The Wagyu minced cutlet was incredibly juicy, the beef croquette had a slightly sweet taste, and the classic croquette was fluffy and truly delicious. Thank you for the great meal! I look forward to trying the cutlets next time.

I bought the Koganei croquette, which probably tastes good itself, but the oil used for frying seemed to have oxidized too much. Every time I ate it, a bitter and unpleasant taste lingered in my mouth. It's a shame because the croquette itself is delicious. I think they should change the oil regularly to avoid this issue.

I had my favorite Menchi Katsu for 120 yen and it was delicious. Next, I would like to try the Sekiguchi Croquette for 60 yen (minimum order of 3). It was hot and tasty. Thank you for the meal.

The food was delicious because it was fried after receiving the order, so it was piping hot and fresh. I sat on one of the chairs inside the restaurant. Even after eating a meal, I could eat more when traveling. Thank you for the meal!

I returned to Osaka from Kobe and was feeling a bit hungry, so I decided to come to this shop. It is located in a back alley off the Sennichimae shopping street towards Nipponbashi. The shop has an old-fashioned atmosphere like a traditional butcher. I wanted to try their famous Sekiguchi croquette, but it was only available in a set of three, which was too much for a snack, so I ordered a meat croquette instead. The croquette was fried in lard until crispy and had a smooth and flavorful filling with plenty of meat. It was delicious. I would like to try the Sekiguchi croquette next time.

I had been curious about this place for a while, as my friend had mentioned it to me before. Finally, I had the chance to visit. The atmosphere of the old-fashioned butcher shop was charming. I tried the Sekiguchi Croquette, which had a slightly sweet taste and was delicious. I also had another croquette with a generous amount of minced meat in the middle, although I forgot the name. It was juicy and made me crave rice. Eating croquettes while exploring the city was a special experience. Thank you for the meal.

Hello. This is Shun Mama. Kanaguchi Seinikuten is a shop located near Nihonbashi Station that I pass by every day. I decided to try it for dinner one day, so I placed an order during the day and said I would pick it up in the evening. I went back to work and then went to pick up my order around 4:10. I bought the following items: Kanaguchi croquette for 60 yen, beef croquette for 120 yen, and special minced cutlet for 150 yen. We all shared and ate them, and the most popular item was definitely the Kanaguchi croquette. It had a potato base with chunks of meat inside, similar to nikujaga (a Japanese meat and potato stew). It had a good flavor even without sauce. And at 60 yen each, it was a good deal. The beef croquette was shaped like a curry bun, with seasoned minced meat in the center. The potato base was like mashed potatoes. The special minced cutlet, being from Kanaguchi Seinikuten known for their delicious meat, was juicy and flavorful. At 150 yen each, it was a great value. For those planning to get takeout in the evening, please note that they close at 5 pm and turn off the fryer at 4 pm. Overall, the quality of the three fried items was impressive. Thank you for the delicious meal.

In the past, there was a meat shop recommended by a Yoshimoto comedian (I forgot who it was) called "Sekiguchi Meats," established in 1884, so it has a history of over 130 years. I had their traditional Sekiguchi croquette for 60 yen and juicy minced cutlet for 100 yen for takeout this time. The crispy coating and sweet croquette with juicy minced cutlet were delicious. Considering the history, location, and taste, I think the cost performance is quite high. It's one of the top croquette and minced cutlet shops in Osaka. Thank you for the meal.

I decided to buy a toy for my dog, so I went to "Namba Parks" after a long time. While I was there, I also stopped by "Kyuseifuku Shoten" on the 5th floor to buy two kinds of delicacies as a gift for a familiar bar. Next, I took the subway to Nihonbashi and visited "Sekiguchi Butcher Shop". This place is the flagship store of the 130-year-old traditional Kansai-style sukiyaki "Honsekiguchi", right next door. I read a friend's review praising this place, so I decided to check it out for myself. I didn't even look at the premium wagyu beef for sukiyaki, instead opting for the ◆Old-fashioned Sekiguchi croquette 60 yen x 3 (tax included)◆Juicy minced cutlet 100 yen (tax included). There were also slightly more expensive options like the "Handmade Beef Croquette" for 120 yen and the "Premium Wagyu Minced Cutlet" for 150 yen. I chose the two items that my friend highly recommended for their extremely affordable prices and purchased them. While it's best to eat them freshly fried on the spot, I was already full from lunch at home, so I warmed them up in the microwave to enjoy as a side dish for dinner. First, the "Old-fashioned Sekiguchi Croquette" was larger and cheaper than the popular croquette shop near my house, with a clear presence of meat which made it delicious! The "Juicy Minced Cutlet" had plenty of onions which added sweetness to the meat's umami, making it tender and juicy - another excellent choice. Next time you visit Nihonbashi, make sure to try them freshly fried at the storefront! Enjoy your meal! (●^o^●)

In September 2015, I had some business in Nihonbashi, so I was wandering around the area when I passed by "Sekiguchi Butcher" next to the place where I had previously eaten sukiyaki at "Honsekiguchi". I had mistakenly thought that they only sold meat, but when I saw a sign outside the shop saying Croquette 60 yen, I thought, "Oh!" and decided to go in. Although it said that croquettes were only available for takeout in sets of 3, I decided to eat them there and ordered one each of the old-fashioned Sekiguchi croquette for 60 yen and the juicy minced cutlet for 100 yen. While the croquettes and cutlets were being fried, I waited inside the shop. And when they were ready, I immediately tried them. Wow!!!!!!! The croquette that I unexpectedly tried was shockingly delicious! The crispy coating was fried perfectly, and the flavor of the meat was amazing. Additionally, the potato inside was fluffy. And the minced cutlet, with its crispy coating, oozed with the juicy meat and the sweetness of the onion. I used to be a fan of "Nakamuraya" in Minami-Morimachi, but after trying this croquette, it's hard to decide which is better. It seems that you can't underestimate the croquettes from a meat shop. They are better than the expensive croquettes you find at highway rest stops for nearly 200 yen. It may take some time for them to be ready, but trying the croquettes and minced cutlets here is definitely worth it. Thank you for the meal!

Recently, I feel like there has been an increase in food exploration around the Namba area. Unlike the northern area, there are many slightly more unique restaurants here. Today, I tried the menchi-katsu from Sekiguchi, a meat shop I passed by. Sekiguchi is a historic restaurant known for its sukiyaki. The atmosphere is a bit intimidating, but fear not, if you're looking for menchi-katsu, this is the place to go! The menchi-katsu was served hot and fresh, taking a bit of time to cook. The friendly lady working there struck up a conversation with me. The menchi-katsu was crispy and surprisingly sweet, with plenty of beef inside. It felt like the beef was coated first before being breaded. The croquettes looked delicious too, so I'll have to try them next time. Thank you for the meal!

I asked the lady frying the croquettes about the differences between them. The croquette from Sekiguchi is a standard one. The beef croquette has seasoned minced meat in the middle. The juicy minced cutlet has more onions, while the special minced cutlet has more meat. I ordered the beef croquette and the special minced cutlet. In about 5 minutes, I could enjoy freshly fried ones. As expected from a long-standing butcher shop, the croquettes and minced cutlets were delicious. The taste of the meat was outstanding, especially the minced meat in the croquette. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back for more. If you ever go to Nihonbashi, you must try them.

This is a review of a shop I found when I went to Namba. I was a little hungry, so I decided to have a light croquette. The croquette was priced at 63 yen each, but the minimum order was three, so I ordered the juicy croquette. It was a croquette priced at 105 yen each, made with potatoes and onions. The shop fried it on the spot. It was quite delicious. The sweetness of the onions mixed with the potatoes, creating a creamy texture. It was also freshly fried, so it had a crispy crust.
