Neonora
Today, I was in the mood for Chinese food, so I decided to revisit this place after about 3 and a half years. They have a wide variety of authentic Chinese dishes, so I wanted to try a few different ones. The restaurant has 9 counter seats, 4 tables, and seating on the second floor as well. Many Chinese customers also frequent this place, so it seems to be popular among locals. After browsing the extensive menu, I decided to order the following items:
- Boiled dumplings (880 yen)
- Sweet and sour pork (980 yen)
- Sapporo Draft Beer Black Label (600 yen) x2
I originally wanted to order pan-fried dumplings, but they were sold out, so I settled for boiled dumplings. The draft beer came with fried peanuts on the side, which complemented the salty taste of the beer. The boiled dumplings arrived at the counter after a 15-minute wait. The portion was surprisingly generous with 10 dumplings. They were filled with plenty of chives, flavorful meat juice, and even star anise. I really enjoyed the boiled dumplings and would love to have them again next time. Next, the sweet and sour pork arrived. It had a miso aroma with a spicy kick, and the ingredients included pork, cabbage, onion, bell pepper, carrot, and wood ear mushrooms. The stir-fry was cooked on high heat, giving the vegetables a crunchy texture. The dish went really well with the beer, so I moved on to my second glass. By the time I finished everything, I was stuffed. Looking at the menu again, I noticed other tempting dishes like stir-fried chives with liver, sweet and sour pork, mapo tofu, pan-fried dumplings, tan-tan noodles, stir-fried pea shoots, braised pork belly, and more. I also saw that they have my favorite Sura-tan. While I still have a long way to go to try everything, I look forward to revisiting and sampling more dishes in the future!
