At the Tenjinbashi Shotengai shopping street, you can find the Tenjin Sanjiki Shokuhin Ichiba market, which offers a variety of affordable dishes using fresh fish. This time, I visited the market's branch in Temma Sanjiki Shokuhin Ichiba for the first time. They serve a wide range of lunch options using fish on weekdays as well as weekends. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building with a Daiso store on the first floor, and you can easily spot it by the lunch menu with photos. The interior is decorated like a fishing boat with retro Showa era charm. The staff promptly seats you upon arrival. While they used to only offer lunch on weekdays, they now serve lunch on weekends and holidays as well (12:00-14:30, as of November 2018).

I ordered the limited to 5 servings Fisherman's Overflowing Seafood Bowl. It arrived in about 10 minutes and was incredibly luxurious and delicious. The overflowing sashimi, sparkling salmon roe, and egg yolk made for a visually stunning dish. The thickly sliced sashimi, including the rich Kanpachi, melt-in-your-mouth salmon, and fragrant grilled saury, were all incredibly flavorful. The Tai Matsukasa sashimi with its skin was a standout, bursting with flavor and texture. The sweet shrimp with egg was delightful, and the hot rice with plenty of shredded egg and seaweed was a perfect base. The miso soup, pickles, and oolong tea that came with the meal were also enjoyable. Despite the slight difference in the amount of salmon roe compared to the menu photo, the overall volume and freshness of the sashimi were satisfying. At 1,000 yen tax-inclusive, it was a very fulfilling seafood bowl. I look forward to trying the lunch set with sashimi assortment and a choice of main dish next time. Thank you for the delicious meal!
