If you're looking for delicious sushi in Fukushima with great cost performance, this is the best place to eat for around 11,000 yen for two people! ● Otoshi - Smoked salmon and melon with cheese sauce. A unique combination that goes well with sake. ● Squid and sea urchin sashimi - Squid is sweet and delicious on its own! When eaten with sea urchin, you can taste the flavor of the sea together, making it even richer. ● Simmered octopus - My favorite here! It's tender and sweet! ● Sushi - Chu-toro (medium fatty tuna), do-guro (blackthroat seaperch). The first three are my partner's favorites. ● Finishing dishes - Mackerel, marinated tuna, kohada (gizzard shad). Mackerel's seasoning is excellent! The flavor of the tuna comes out well! The course seems to be the main option, but you can also order individual items. The price is reasonable, yet the sushi quality is high, making me want to come back again! The atmosphere is not stiff like a high-end restaurant, so you can casually enjoy delicious sushi. It was a bit disappointing to be seated at a table, maybe because it was a last-minute reservation, but overall, it was a good experience! 😊

This is my second visit. It's great that restaurants where online reservations are okay have a low hurdle. This time, we had a course for 7,500 yen per person, which varies depending on the season. It's nice because it's summer, and the scent of sudachi and shaved sudachi peel was really good and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant for a lunch course priced at 4,500 yen, and I underestimated it at first. I'm sorry, this restaurant is really recommended. Delicious sea urchin, salmon roe, eel, striped jack, and many other dishes will fill you up.

It was a new sushi experience to enjoy familiar fish with unique seasonings and ingredients such as plum, seaweed, and myoga. I particularly liked the juicy taste of the flying fish sushi. The rolled sushi at the end was also exciting as I never knew what would come next. It was a fun and enjoyable course!

It was my first visit to Sushi Restaurant Rentaro in Fukushima, Osaka! It was about a 10-minute walk from Fukushima Station. I had been wanting to go there for a while, but didn't have the chance until now. A friend made a reservation for us, and we visited at 7 pm. There were still a few empty seats when we arrived, but it quickly filled up. It's a popular place, even on weekdays! There are many restaurants around Fukushima Station, but this one stands out. I recommend making a reservation! They offer courses and omakase, but we decided to order a la carte to try our favorite toppings. The sushi rice was on the smaller side, suitable for women perhaps? The rice also had a nice flavor to it, which I personally like. I got so caught up in conversation that I forgot to take photos of everything we ordered. The menu was also forgotten to be noted down. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and spacious, with counter and table seating available. I'm not sure if they have private rooms. I'll have to try their courses next time! The sushi was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

On Mother's Day, I finally went to Sushiya Rentaro, a place I had wanted to visit for a while. The white wooden interior gives a clean and bright feel to the place, and the atmosphere is lively. The meal started with a homemade tofu appetizer and included 10 pieces of nigiri sushi. The summer vegetable chawanmushi was also delicious. The sushi rice is seasoned with red vinegar, but the balance between the rice and the toppings is excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and has a great Osaka-style hospitality. The ambiance, food taste, service, and value for money are all excellent. I definitely recommend this restaurant and I look forward to visiting again for dinner next time. ♥️

I had been passing by this restaurant many times and finally got a chance to go eat there! The stylish exterior immediately caught my attention, and the interior was also modern and chic. The staff, including the chef, were all very polite and provided great service from start to finish. The food was incredibly delicious, especially the sushi with eel and mochi sandwiched in nori. I definitely want to go back to eat there again! They have both counter and table seating, so it's suitable for families and those with children. I was able to go for a Sunday lunch last minute and they accommodated me, but it's recommended to make a reservation for weekday evenings as it tends to get full.

I've always wanted to go and finally visited for the first time! The atmosphere inside the restaurant was bright and it was clear that all the customers were enjoying their meals. Oh, it was incredibly delicious and I am completely satisfied! The sushi was fresh with no hint of fishiness, and the vinegared rice was elegant and paired perfectly with the toppings. The course included a variety of dishes like soup, fried items, and steamed egg, keeping our taste buds entertained. We had the 9,500 yen course, and it was definitely worth more than its cost. The chef was friendly and the timing of serving each dish was perfect! We visited to celebrate my son's high school acceptance, and now I don't think we can go back to conveyor belt sushi (laughs).

Sushiya Rentaro Lunch Sushi 10-piece course (11 items) ¥4,000 Bottle of beer Sapporo Lager ¥680 Nishikiya Junmai Ginjo (Miyagi Prefecture) ¥850 Enjoyed the carefully crafted Edomae sushi by sushi chef Wakabayashi, who is willing to show his face, and the lively atmosphere of the kitchen. First, I had the mountain yam ankake, which was a delicious combination of sticky mountain yam and light dashi sauce. The anticipation for the sushi was heightened with this dish. ① Setouchi sea bream Fresh, light sea bream with a slightly acidic and flavorful shari rice. The shari rice is made with Nara-grown "Hinohikari" rice and "Edomae red vinegar." According to Wakabayashi, the good thing about red vinegar is that it has a strong umami component. ② Ishikawa prefecture's sawara Topped with Hokkaido mountain wasabi, which has a refreshing unique fragrance. ③ Cod sushi Had cod sushi for the first time. It was surprisingly light with a good texture. ④ Striped jack sushi Fresh striped jack topped with sudachi for a refreshing taste. ⑤ Bluefin tuna from Aomori Just by looking at it, I knew it was delicious. A white omelette made with eggs from chickens that eat white rice. Slightly sweet. Finished with kasujiru (sake lees soup). The kasujiru made with sake lees given by the brewer was incredibly fresh and delicious. It was the best taste ever. The restaurant has a luxurious appearance, but the atmosphere inside is casual, and the chefs' service is very enjoyable. You can easily enjoy authentic Edomae sushi. Fukushima has many sushi restaurants. I made a reservation online for a sushi restaurant I had been curious about. I ordered the 10-piece course for ¥4000. The dishes included rape blossoms from Akashi, late autumn saury from Mie, striped jack from Ehime, sea bream from Nagasaki, barracuda from Nagasaki, Pacific cod from Hokkaido, bluefin tuna from Hokkaido, silver cod, chawanmushi, ikura, kappamaki, white tamagoyaki, eel, and red miso soup. Everything was delicious, all made with red rice.

There was a great value authentic sushi restaurant about 5 minutes from Fukushima Station. We made a reservation for the course menu, which was only 4,000 yen! It's quite cheap for sushi, right? The photo shows only part of the course, but it was very satisfying! The beltfish was delicious~ The sushi chef who made the sushi was also an interesting person! I want to go back again because you can enjoy seasonal fish! ^_^

Today, we ordered the omakase course for 9,000 yen. There were three of us, so we were seated at a table instead of the counter, which was a bit disappointing. The course consisted of a random selection of appetizers and sushi, with three pieces of sushi served at a time. From start to finish, everything was delicious. Thank you very much. In conclusion, sushi should be eaten at the counter. I will definitely make a reservation again.

I had delicious sushi for lunch today. Yum yum♪♪ I ordered the lunch set for 4,000 yen (including tax) which included tuna, squid, horse mackerel, red snapper, sea bream, corn chawanmushi, eel, white tamagoyaki, ikura, sushi with Yoshino kuzu noodles, and it was all very delicious.
