This time, I visited a ramen shop located on the 1st floor of the Godzilla Building in Shinjuku Station, right in the heart of Kabukicho. Opened in April 2021, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, this shop originally had branches in Jiyugaoka and Nishi-Waseda, and is known for its healthy yet rich chicken broth ramen. Upon entering, I checked the menu at the ticket machine. The main options include the default chicken broth salt ramen, as well as limited edition items like cold ramen. This time, I ordered the default chicken broth salt ramen with a flavored egg topping. I also succumbed to the temptation of white rice at the end. The ramen cost ¥880, the flavored egg was ¥100, and the small rice was ¥100. I thought it was quite rare to find a meal under ¥1000 in the heart of Kabukicho without the rice. I took a seat at the counter, which had about 14-15 seats.
I noticed from reviews that everyone was adding the small rice at the end, so I felt like I was winning with the small rice. Even though the food had not been served yet, I made a mysterious guts pose. The ramen was served in about 5-6 minutes. The crispy lettuce on top was the reason for the shop being called healthy, I suppose. The shredded red pepper and garlic chips added a nice touch. The white, creamy chicken broth soup was quite flavorful, as expected. It seemed like a taste that both men and women would enjoy, given that 80% of the customers were women. The noodles were medium thickness and had a chewy texture.
Towards the end, I squeezed lemon into the soup, added the rice, and it turned into a risotto-like dish. It was a new flavor that I enjoyed, especially when combined with the pepper on the table. The cleverly crafted chicken broth salt ramen kept me entertained until the end without getting tired of it. If you ever find yourself struggling to decide where to eat lunch in Kabukicho, why not give this place a try?
Thank you for the meal! I will visit again.

In Shinjuku Kabukicho, I discovered an amazingly delicious ramen at the Shinjuku Toho Building, where the Godzilla statue is located. This shop specializes in a popular menu item from the main store in Jiyugaoka, called "Kasanean," called "Chicken White Broth Salt Ramen." You purchase a ticket from the machine, then sit at the counter in a cozy atmosphere. The soup is rich in chicken flavor yet surprisingly refreshing, paired perfectly with the chewy medium-thick noodles. Squeezing lemon into the soup adds a nice touch and the ample vegetables like lettuce and paprika make it light and easy to eat. The fried green onions add a nice accent. I highly recommend finishing the meal with rice to enjoy the soup rice dish to the fullest. I made sure to savor every last drop of the delicious soup. This place is definitely worth a revisit! In Kabukicho, on the first floor of the Toho Building where Godzilla roars, I discovered a fashionable vegetable-rich ramen ✨ at Kageyama-san in Jiyugaoka. @kageyamarou I chose the flavored egg chicken white broth ramen ♪ This exquisite dish, with its healthy appearance and soup, reveals a refreshing taste when you add lemon. "In the heart of Tokyo's Jiyugaoka neighborhood, Ineyama-rou is a restaurant known for its two specialties: fukahire (shark fin) and ramen. One of their standout dishes is the Chicken Paitan Shio Ramen, which has a rich and concentrated chicken broth. This signature dish has been carried over to their spin-off restaurant, Tori Paitan Men Ineyama. I had visited Jiyugaoka and Takadanobaba a few times before and was looking forward to trying this place. The Ajitama Chicken Paitan Shio Ramen features a creamy chicken broth with a special medium-thick noodle that complements it perfectly. Toppings include lettuce, seasoned egg, chicken breast, and yuzu peel. I enjoyed adding lemon halfway through to change up the flavor, and at the end, I added rice to the remaining soup to savor every last drop. The healthy soup is sure to be a hit with female diners."

I recommend the long-named chicken white broth ramen with toppings of seasoned egg and chashu. The soup is rich and delicious. The fresh vegetables and lemon add a refreshing touch. However, the chashu was a bit tough and not very tasty. The seasoned egg lacked a creamy texture. Overall, I think this ramen is more suitable for foreign visitors.

I randomly walked into a ramen shop called Kageyama in Shinjuku Toho Building and tried their chicken white broth ramen. The shop has only counter seats, and I was torn between choosing tantanmen and the recommended chicken white broth ramen. The toppings included salad-like vegetables, boiled egg, nuts, and chicken meat in a refreshing and rich soup, with medium-thick noodles. Halfway through, adding lemon juice made it even more refreshing. This ramen seemed like something women would enjoy. The shop was clean and had an atmosphere that women would find inviting. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Kabukicho to watch the opening performance at the Tokyu Kabukicho Milanoza theater. Before the 6 o'clock show, I looked around the first floor of the Tokyu Kabukicho Building for something to eat, but it was very lively with a street food village atmosphere, so I moved to the Shinjuku Toho Building in front. My friend, who usually doesn't say much, wanted ramen, so we went to a quiet ramen shop. We didn't know anything about it, but it seemed like a shop with its main branch in Jiyugaoka, and it seemed like their specialty was salt ramen, so I ordered the Chicken Shio Ramen. When I had eaten half of it, they suggested squeezing the lemon provided on top for a different taste, and when I tried it, it was very refreshing and delicious. It's a stylish ramen shop where even two women can comfortably dine.

At lunchtime, I strolled around the famous Higashi-Yoko area and was lured by the words "chicken white broth" to join the 5-6 person line at the gourmet area of Toho Cinemas. The restaurant's design is modern, with black and white tones and a sense of cleanliness. I chose the flavor egg chicken white broth salt soba for 980 yen at the ticket machine (since there is also a famous chicken white broth shop near my house). When it arrived, I was impressed by the pure white and clean appearance of the bowl. The soup didn't have much chicken flavor, and the noodles were thick curly noodles, a bit firm like Hakata-style noodles. I'm not sure if the short cooking time was intentional to give them a firm texture.

Chicken White Soup Salt Ramen with Chicken Rice Bowl - Large Size 1,000 yen
Extra Char Siu Rice Bowl 290 yen
The chicken white soup ramen doesn't have a strong punch but it's not greasy, and you can enjoy the refreshing taste until the end. Squeezing lemon halfway through makes it even more refreshing. Personally, I feel like it would be even better if the saltiness was a bit stronger, but the elegant taste is also nice. The Char Siu rice bowl comes with pickled mustard greens and is easy to eat.

During a break from work, I went out for lunch! The restaurant looked stylish from the outside, with a focus on chicken-based broth soups. I was in the mood for something rich in flavor, so I chose the chicken shoyu ramen. It seems like you can customize the toppings, and since I'm not a fan of ramen with yuzu, I opted out of that. The ramen arrived promptly - the soup was light but packed with delicious chicken flavor! It was light yet rich, and very tasty! The noodles were well-cooked and paired perfectly with the soup. I was surprised to find lettuce in the toppings, but it added a nice crunchy touch that complemented the dish well. Eating it together with the noodles slightly diluted the flavor, creating a perfect balance. This ramen place in Kabukicho is highly recommended! Thank you for the meal!

Almost no guilt! Refreshing chicken white broth ramen✨Located on the ground floor of the Shinjuku Toho Cinema Building, this chicken white broth ramen offers a taste of the Ajitama Chicken White Broth Shio Soba from Inokashira Kageyama. The bowl is cute and round, filled with lettuce and other toppings, giving it a healthy and clean look. The soup is creamy and white, paired with medium-thick curly noodles. The toppings are quite impactful, which may make the soup seem a bit less, but squeezing some lemon towards the end adds a refreshing touch. A stylish ramen experience for a snack time treat. I also became curious about their limited edition mapo tofu noodles. Chicken White Soup Salt Ramen ¥880
This was my first visit to the Shinjuku branch. It had been quite a while since I last visited the Ineyama chain. The area around this building was crowded with people, but the restaurant was empty, probably due to the odd time of 4:30 pm. The soup had a balanced intensity of saltiness and sweetness, giving it a clean and elegant taste. The noodles, made by Kaikarou, had a slightly angular shape with a good chewy texture. The shredded chicken topping, combined with fried onions and yuzu, added a nice touch to the overall flavor. I squeezed some lemon halfway through, which brought a refreshing change to the taste.

#Ramen #Shinjuku [Stylish Ramen in Kabukicho] A stylish ramen shop located on the first floor of TOHO Cinemas. This time, I ordered the Chicken Shoyu Ramen and Tamago Kake Gohan. The colorful ramen with sunny lettuce on top was delicious, with rich chicken broth and medium curly noodles blending well together. When I poured the soup over the Tamago Kake Gohan and enjoyed it together with the egg, it was incredibly delicious!

In TOHO Cinemas, there is a restaurant called Kageyama-san. It is a spin-off of a famous restaurant in Jiyugaoka. I think there was also one in Takadanobaba. The soup has a balanced richness with plenty of vegetables and shredded chicken. Squeezing lemon in the second half makes it even lighter. However, the bowl is small so the soup may be less, and the abundance of ingredients can make it lukewarm easily. The restaurant, including its clean interior, is said to be more geared towards women.

I visited a ramen shop in the dining area of a movie theater building in Kabukicho, where Godzilla is located. I had previously been to the shop in Takadanobaba and the chicken shio ramen was very delicious, so I decided to try it here as well. I arrived shortly after the opening at 11 am, so there were hardly any customers yet. Orders are placed using a ticket system. I ordered the following:
- Ajitama Tori Paitan Shio Soba (980 yen)
- Tamago Kake Gohan (190 yen)
The classic chicken shio ramen was indeed very delicious. The rich chicken paitan soup was gentle yet flavorful, making it seem like you could drink it endlessly. The dish had plenty of vegetables and the balance was just right. Personally, I really like chicken paitan ramen, but surprisingly there are not many places that serve it. So, if I ever feel like having chicken paitan ramen in this area in the future, I would definitely stop by this shop again.

This is the ramen restaurant "Kasane" located in the gourmet area of TOHO Cinemas. When I visited the Takadanobaba branch, I was tempted by the tantanmen and ended up choosing the special tantanmen instead of the signature chicken white broth ramen. Although it was delicious, I decided to revisit to truly experience the original chicken white broth ramen. I ordered the seasoned egg chicken white broth tsukemen and the seasonal limited cold tantanmen to share, each priced at 980 yen. It was the night before a massage appointment, so I thought ramen would be the best choice for a quick and satisfying meal. However, with only one staff member working and seemingly inexperienced, it took about 15 minutes until the dishes were served. Despite the initial concerns, both dishes turned out to be delicious with no faults. The crispy lettuce, sliced raw onions, and crunchy garlic chips added a nice texture, and despite not eating many vegetables, it didn't feel unhealthy at all. The chicken white broth initially tasted gentle but slightly lacking, however, adding a bit of vinegar transformed it into a smooth and addictive flavor. The noodles, similar to the tantanmen, were thick and flat curly noodles from Kaikarou, which surprisingly paired well with the chicken white broth. The tantanmen soup was smooth and reminiscent of a series finale ramen, although the intention behind the fish powder topping was unclear and the nuts felt too coarse and distracting. Overall, a good option for those with limited time before a movie, but be prepared for a 15-minute wait for your order, even if the restaurant is empty. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the famous restaurant "Kasanean" in Jiyugaoka, which specializes in chicken broth ramen. There are several branches in places like Takadanobaba, and about a year ago, they opened a new branch in Shinjuku Kabukicho. The location is about a 3-minute walk from Seibu Shinjuku Station and a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station East Exit. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the Shinjuku Toho Building in Kabukicho. The opening hours are currently unknown, but they usually operate from 11:00 to 23:00 (last order at 22:30) without any days off.
I happened to see a sign/menu for a limited-time "Special Cold Tantanmen" dish while passing by, so I decided to try it out. I purchased the Special Cold Tantanmen for 980 yen from the ticket machine. The popular items on the menu include chicken broth ramen with salt (880 yen) and soy sauce (880 yen). Tantanmen (980 yen) and Mapo Ramen (980 yen) are also popular choices. The seating consists of about 15 counter seats only, and I sat at a counter seat near the entrance.
I waited for about 10 minutes before the Special Cold Tantanmen arrived. The presentation looked delicious, with beautiful cold Tantanmen noodles. The soup was not too thin but had a slightly rich flavor, with nuts and balsamic vinegar adding a touch of elegance to the dish. The noodles were thick noodles from Kaitarou in Asakusa. The taste was delicious, with a rich Tantan soup that wasn't too spicy but had a strong meat miso flavor. The noodles paired well with the soup, and the balsamic vinegar and nuts added a nice touch to the dish. It was a tasty meal. If I have the chance, I will visit again.

This is a newly opened ramen restaurant located in the heart of Kabukicho, on the first floor of Godzilla Tower. Despite the name including Jiyugaoka (a posh neighborhood in Tokyo), the sense behind it is hard to grasp. Nevertheless, intrigued by their recommended tantanmen, I decided to visit one day for lunch. The restaurant operates on a system where you purchase your meal ticket from a vending machine at the entrance. However, I encountered a pair of girls who seemed drawn to the Jiyugaoka name and were hesitating. Feeling impatient, I couldn't help but show my frustration, unintentionally coming off as a scary old man. After finally reaching the vending machine, I managed to get the Ma Po Tantanmen with three chili pepper symbols for 980 yen. The interior of the restaurant consisted only of a counter, where I sat far away from the girls I encountered earlier. The young female staff at the counter also seemed inexperienced, as they mentioned never having tried tantanmen before. After a long wait, the bowl of ramen finally arrived. It had a nice aroma of Sansho pepper. As for the taste, it wasn't overwhelmingly spicy despite the three chili pepper symbols, which made me wonder if it was based on Jiyugaoka's standards. Nevertheless, it was not bad, falling into the category of tasty tantanmen. Plus, the addition of mapo tofu made me crave rice. Overall, despite the odd mix of the Jiyugaoka name in Kabukicho, it was a decently spicy tantanmen that I would describe as elegantly satisfying.

I visited this ramen shop for the first time. They had hand sanitizer available. The shop had about 15 seats at the counter, with boards separating each seat. You buy a ticket at the entrance and hand it to the staff behind the counter. The shop overall felt clean. I ordered the "Chicken White Broth Salt Ramen for 880 yen". It was ready in about 5 minutes. The bowl was round at the bottom like a traditional soup bowl, and there was a lemon on the side. The staff recommended squeezing the lemon into the soup after eating half of the noodles. The soup was thick and rich. The noodles were medium-thick and straight. Instead of pork chashu, there was chicken meat on top. Eating the noodles with the lemon juice gave a refreshing twist to the rich soup. It was a surprising flavor change. Thanks to that, I ended up finishing most of the soup. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I have used this ramen shop a few times. Unfortunately, my past photos disappeared. This time, I used a TOHO Cinemas ticket and chose the option of extra seasoned egg or large portion. I chose the large portion. The taste is the same as the one in Takadanobaba. There is usually no line and it is always empty. I highly recommend the TOHO Cinemas branch. They also have a limited edition dish of mapo tofu. I have tried it before and it is good for mapo tofu lovers. However, if you are not a fan of mapo tofu, it's better to avoid it.
