I visited the Maiba Sakuranomiya Park when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. There are cherry blossom trees lining the Okawa River. I had lunch at Hanaden in Kyobashi, Keihan Mall. I enjoyed sparkling wine to start. For appetizers, I had a dish of Hikone Nagaimo, radish, and Yasu cucumber with bonito flakes, Otsu yomogi wheat gluten and Mano shiitake mushrooms with yellow core white cabbage, Moriyama spring chrysanthemum, Hino burdock, Silk Sweet tofu terrine, and sweet potato, carrot, cream cheese, and spinach roll. All dishes featured Omi vegetables. For the main course, I had Omi beef neck, Moriyama soybeans, black wood ear mushrooms, and trefoil steamed in a bowl, as well as Omi beef brisket, Omi vegetables, Hatajo yamaimo grated potato hotpot with red konjac, a favorite of Oda Nobunaga. The meal was served with a colorful bento box salad featuring Omi vegetables and flower dressing. The highlight was the A-4 top-grade Omi beef lean steak, which was tender yet had a firm texture, enjoyed with wasabi salt. The rice dish included Omi beef simmered in shigure sauce, Hachiman red konjac, black abalone mushrooms, and trefoil cooked in a clay pot with half-dried bonito flakes. For dessert, I had a rare cheesecake. The restaurant is located at 2-1-38 Higashinoda-cho, Miyakojima-ku, Osaka City, 6th floor of Keihan Mall Hotel Building.
