I bought a cake as a souvenir - Parfait au Petit Gateau for ¥702, Versailles for ¥756, and Strawberry Shortcake for ¥702. They were a bit pricey, but I decided to try the Versailles. It was delicious with lots of fruits on top of a roll cake base. The sponge was fluffy and the whipped cream was not too sweet. I enjoyed it! Next time, I want to try their choux cream.

Location-wise, this shop is great for buying souvenirs, treats for work or home, birthday cakes, Christmas cakes, whole cakes, roll cakes, cream puffs, and shortcakes. I prefer Heisei Pudding for its smooth texture, while my husband prefers Showa Pudding for its slightly firmer texture. A cute and uncrowded hidden gem cake shop. I love their seasonal character cakes and have gone back a few times! This time, I went to buy a Halloween-themed cake ☺︎ They had a ghost cake with purple sweet potato mont blanc, a jack-o'-lantern cake with pumpkin cream, and a chocolate and berry cat cake... all of them were delicate and of high quality!! The prices are not that high and there are no long lines, so I've decided to come back here for Christmas too! ^^

Whenever I go to Cocarldo, I always seem to end up buying cream puffs, but this time I bought a Mont Blanc for 540 yen and a Christmas Shortcake for 648 yen. I enjoyed them at home. The Mont Blanc consists of sponge cake topped with chestnut mousse, Chantilly cream, and Mont Blanc cream. I usually don't need toppings like chocolate, but for a Christmas cake, it's essential for that festive touch. The Christmas Shortcake is a luxurious shortcake with a variety of fruit toppings.
