I happened to go cycling to Tennoji and decided to extend my trip to Showa-cho for a visit. It was Saturday afternoon, but unfortunately, the popular Seisumi chicken salt ramen was already sold out. It seems to sell out quickly as it is limited in quantity. So this time, I ordered the regular Seisumi salt ramen instead of the chicken salt ramen. The difference is whether it comes with chicken chashu or pork chashu. At first, I felt disappointed, but when I tried it, I found that the pork chashu was cooked perfectly rare, with a moist texture and a delicious meaty flavor. It was not a disappointment at all, and I realized that it was actually quite good. The noodles were thin but still had a nice firmness to them, providing a satisfying chewy texture. The soup had a subtle flavor with a strong dashi taste, similar to a clam broth. The seasoned egg was also delicious with a perfect gel-like texture. I will definitely revisit when I crave tasty salt ramen again.

I felt like eating miso ramen, so I visited a restaurant with friends.
Shiratori Shio Ramen - 900 yen
Hosho White Chicken Ramen (night only) - 900 yen
Miso Ramen - 950 yen
We did a comparison of the three ramen dishes this time, and all of them were delicious. The Shiratori Shio Ramen has a delicate and gentle salt flavor, which I like as much as the miso ramen. The Hosho White Chicken Ramen is richer in flavor compared to the Shiratori Shio Ramen.
We arrived at the restaurant at 8:10 PM, and it was just in time as they were serving the last batch of soup. This restaurant is a must-visit for me every month.

This time, I went to "Menya Saisai Showamachi Main Store" located a 1-minute walk from Showamachi Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line. I ordered the "White Chicken Salt Ramen for 900 yen + Extra Green Onions for 100 yen". The soup had a strong chicken flavor, creamy texture, and just the right amount of salt, making it delicious. The noodles were medium-thin and mixed well with the soup, with a good wheat flavor that was tasty. The chashu was a large piece topping the ramen, allowing you to fully enjoy the delicious flavor of the meat. The extra green onions I ordered had a good flavor on their own and paired perfectly with the soup, making it delicious.

This is a ramen shop located near Showa-cho station with a hundred-year history. I visited just before closing on a weekday and was able to get in easily. According to reviews on Tabelog, their miso ramen, shirotan ramen, and tsukemen are all recommended. They offer various types of ramen. I decided to try the evening-only Hojo shirotan ramen with seasoned egg as an extra. The rich yet clear shirotan soup was definitely of high quality. The noodles were medium thickness with a slight curl, and were just average. The chashu was tender and quite delicious, and there was also fried chicken skin included, which was unique but surprisingly good. Overall, I thought this ramen shop lived up to its reputation for high-quality ramen.

After returning from a business trip, I stopped by this place in the neighborhood. It was my first time trying their curry ramen, rice, and egg. The chicken broth and curry soup were incredibly delicious. It had a nice spicy kick to it, balanced out by the creamy chicken broth. It ranks up there with the deliciousness of their Phoenix White Broth and Chicken Salt White Broth. The noodles were medium thickness and tasty. The chashu pork was flavorful and the egg was delicious. I was happy to see lots of bean sprouts in the ramen, like in a Chinese restaurant. The fried garlic was also a nice touch. It seemed like there were various spices in the soup, but it was really tasty. Thank you for the meal!

I visited around 12:30 and there was no line outside. There were only 2 groups of customers ahead of me, so I was able to buy my meal ticket and sit down quickly. I was originally planning to have miso ramen, but after looking at the menu on the ticket machine, I felt like having soy sauce ramen instead. I ordered the set with rich soy sauce ramen. The soup was a dark color as indicated on the menu, but it wasn't too salty, which was nice. The noodles were medium-thin, but I didn't really like them. The default toppings included rare chashu, seaweed, half an egg, green onions, and fried chicken skin. The soup was delicious, but the noodles didn't quite match well with it, which was disappointing. The best part was the minced ginger flavor on the rice bowl that came with the lunch set. Maybe next time I'll try the miso ramen for a rematch.

It's been quite a while since I last visited this restaurant! This is my second visit personally. I tried to order the limited quantity Clear Sumi Chicken Salt Ramen, but it seems to be a lunch-only menu, so I gave up. I ordered the Clear Sumi Salt Ramen with a flavored egg (comes with half an egg by default) instead! The toppings include half an egg, green onions, mizuna, seaweed, and pork chashu. The soup is a salt-based chicken broth. It has a delicious flavor with the umami of chicken and a well-balanced saltiness, making it light yet flavorful! The slightly wavy medium-thin noodles have a chewy texture and a hint of wheat flavor. It's a simple but delicious salt ramen. Thank you for the meal!

It's been 3 years since my last visit. The ordering method has changed to a touch screen system. I ordered the white soup soy sauce ramen and sat at the counter seat. There aren't as many customers as I thought. It arrived in about 3 minutes. The appearance is a creamy and rich white soup soy sauce. The soup is creamy and flavorful. The noodles are medium-thin straight noodles. The toppings include seaweed, half a boiled egg, chashu, and fried chicken skin. It wasn't as impressive as the white soup salt ramen, so next time I want to try the clear soup ramen.

I remember that I didn't have a great impression when I came here before, but this time the miso ramen was surprisingly good. There aren't many places that serve miso ramen these days, and it's hard to find a satisfying one. The miso ramen here was delicious and satisfying. It's a bit difficult to understand what the manager is saying, am I the only one? Next time, I'll try a different ramen.

The Clear Salt Ramen priced at 850 yen was quite flavorful with a good balance of saltiness. I could also taste the deliciousness of the chicken. I thought it was worth it for 850 yen. There were two types of soups, Chin Tan and Paitan, and I couldn't decide, so I would like to try the Paitan next time I visit.

I went to a highly popular ramen shop listed on Tabelog just before 1 pm, and it was almost full, but luckily I was seated right away. I ordered the miso ramen with an extra flavored egg topping. The miso ramen had thick noodles and the creamy miso soup coated them well! The miso soup was very rich and made me crave for more rice. The chashu pork slices were as big as shown in the picture!! They were satisfying to eat and really delicious, I finished them in no time.

I had a medium-sized bowl of miso dipping noodles (300g for 1050 yen) and a seasoned egg (100 yen) with a small bowl of rice (100 yen). Despite being 65 years old, I finished everything quickly. The miso broth had a lot of chopped chashu and mushrooms, and the glossy medium-thick straight noodles were deliciously coated in it. The finale was topping the rice with the seasoned egg and pouring in the miso dipping broth to make miso soup rice, which was also incredibly tasty. Thank you for the meal.

Visited 100 different restaurants! This time, I went to Menya Saisai😊 It's only a 1-minute walk from Showacho Station, so it's super close! I ordered the Kiyosumi Yushio Ramen this time! The chicken broth, like consomme soup, combined with the salty seasoning adds a delicious flavor❤️ The crunchy leeks and greens are a nice touch too! Thank you for the meal!

Visited at 7:15 pm on a regular day. There were two other customers in the restaurant. They had a digital ticket machine, which was convenient for card payment, but the menu was a bit hard to read. The food was served in about 5 minutes. It had been a while since I had miso ramen, and I found the soup to be tasty. The noodles were curly, but I felt like they didn't mix well with the soup towards the end. It seemed like the noodles were being overpowered by the soup.

I visited during the daytime on a regular day. I arrived 15 minutes before the opening time and was the first in line. Today, the shop opened about 5 minutes earlier than scheduled, and there were no other people waiting. This is a famous shop in Showacho where you can enjoy both clear broth and creamy broth. The interior of the shop has a retro atmosphere with a counter seating for 9 people. There are no partitions between the seats, and the spacing is narrow. The counter is well-maintained and clean overall. I ordered the "White Chicken Salt Ramen for 900 yen" and "Extra Char Siu for 300 yen" this time. The ramen was served in about 3 minutes. When I tasted the soup, the rich flavor of chicken spread in my mouth. It was creamy, not too strong in flavor, and easy to drink. However, the saltiness was quite strong, and it became a bit monotonous towards the end. The medium-thin noodles were cooked to the right firmness, with a chewy texture. Although I didn't find the noodles particularly delicious, I think they paired well with the soup. The toppings included pork shoulder, seasoned egg, watercress, and green onions. The pork shoulder was rare and had a moist texture, but it was a bit difficult to chew. It was large and each bite was flavorful. Also, it was nice that a half-seasoned egg came with the ramen by default. I enjoyed the type of creamy chicken broth, but the strong saltiness bothered me a bit. Perhaps the impression would have been different if I had ordered the miso or clear broth that many MyRebi users recommend. Thank you for the meal.

It had been a while since I last visited, so I decided to challenge myself with the spicy miso mixed noodles. There were a lot of toppings, so I was worried about mixing it all together, but I managed to do it and then tried it. It tasted like a miso ramen version of soup-less tantanmen. It was spicy because of the miso, but surprisingly, it was good.

Located a 2-3 minute walk from Showacho Station, two stops from Tennoji in Osaka. Let's dig in.
The gentle umami of the chicken spreads in the mouth. The refined chicken richness and moderate saltiness make it seem like you could drink the soup endlessly. The rare chashu is large, thin, tender, and low in fat, allowing you to enjoy the taste of lean meat. It's a nice touch to have a flavored egg included by default. The scent of garland chrysanthemum (shungiku) adds a refreshing touch, and the seaweed plays a good supporting role. Delicious meal - thank you!

"Mentai Ayame Showacho Honten: Clear and rich soy sauce ramen with seasoned egg for 950 yen, extra noodles for 150 yen. The noodles have a soba-like texture, which is quite good. The soup is flavorful with a rich soy sauce taste. The half egg included was enough, so adding extra may not be necessary. The portion size is larger than getting an extra serving of noodles. Overall, I think it's delicious."

Foodlog rating: 3.76 (06/04/2023) Foodlog Top 100 Ramen Shops WEST 2022 (2017~) I arrived after 7 pm. It was my first visit. They use a ticket system. I was able to be seated right away without waiting. - Kiyosumi dark soy sauce ramen 850 yen - Hojo white chicken ramen 900 yen The aroma and flavor of chicken seeped out from the chicken skin. The soy sauce has a rich flavor in the clear soup. The soup with chicken oil is so delicious that you can't help but drink it. The white soup is not too thick, it's light, but you can still taste the chicken well. The rare chashu has a hint of ginger flavor and is delicious. I want to try the salt flavor next time. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the ramen shop "Menya Sayasaya Showamachi Main Store," which is located about a 2-3 minute walk from Showamachi Station on the subway. I visited on a Sunday around 18:45, right after the evening session had just started, so I was able to enter smoothly without much of a wait. The menu included miso ramen, which I ordered with a seasoned egg topping. The miso ramen had a rich miso soup with plenty of bean sprouts and a modest amount of ground pork. The noodles were slightly curly and medium thickness, with a smooth and chewy texture that paired well with the rich miso soup. Other toppings included chrysanthemum greens, white leeks, and a large rare chashu, all of which contributed to a well-balanced dish. The seasoned egg was served on a separate plate, with a perfect soft-boiled texture and delicious flavor. Overall, the miso ramen had a great balance of flavors, and the menu offered a variety of ramen types to choose from, such as clear broth, white broth, and spicy ramen. I look forward to visiting again in the future!

It's been a while since I came here. I had the limited-time Hoshikaze Shio Ramen at night. The soup, named after the Holy Emperor Souzer, is made with chicken bones, salt seasoning, and soy sauce. It's delicious. It has a stronger chicken flavor compared to the regular chicken salt ramen. It's concentrated and creamy. Really tasty! It's not light, but rather rich with a strong seasoning, but it's really delicious. The noodles and toppings are also perfect. The overall quality is high. Thank you for the meal~
