I have been staying here almost every year for multiple nights. The true value of this place lies in the multiple night stays. It is very convenient as a base for various areas such as Eniwa Chitose, Ebetsu Minamihoro Nagatsuma, Biei, Furano, Minamifurano, Obihiro, Shimizu Town, Shinotoku famous for soba, and Naka-Satsunai famous for local chicken. Since it has been operated by Hoshino Resort, there has been a remarkable improvement in facilities and services, and I feel that the comfort level has increased every time I visit. This time, we were welcomed with free ramune as a welcome drink, and there were 5 colors of free ice bars available all day. This year, watermelon bars were also added. Furthermore, in the lounge for guests only from 10 am to 9 pm, champagne, apple juice, iced coffee, and water are free, and the terrace seats are comfortable. The fireworks every day at 8:30 pm are beautiful. The wavy pool and large communal bath are also free, and my daughters enjoyed them. As expected from Hoshino Resort's management, there is a world of difference from the Alpha Resort era. I would like to continue using this place in the future. The room I stayed in this time had Wi-Fi that wouldn't connect, which was a first and my daughters were also dissatisfied. I will make sure to confirm this properly when making a reservation next time.

My mother has been to this place several times and really likes it. This time, I went with my 0-year-old baby for the first time, and the support was excellent! It is highly recommended for traveling with children. First of all, it was a big help that diapers were provided for free. They even gave us wet wipes and small amenities for children. In the lounge on the 1st floor leading to the reception, there is a free kids' space, which is spacious enough. It is perfect for babies who are just starting to crawl. There is also a free space like a cafe in another lounge where you can freely drink a welcome drink. There are sofa seats and box seats, which is convenient for families with children. By the way, if you tell the front desk, you can also borrow a stroller for free. The shuttle bus was also circulating, so transportation was easy. For breakfast in buffet style, we used the restaurants "Forest Restaurant Nininupuri" and "Mikaku". Nininupuri had more variety of dishes. Both had baby food for infants, and it was very helpful to be able to choose according to the age of the baby. Moreover, it seems that the food was delicious, as my baby ate it eagerly. As for activities, the pool was amazing! There is an indoor wave pool and a children's pool, with a proper rest area. There is also a cafe, where we could have a light meal. Baby swimsuits are available for rent. There were quite a few kindergarten to elementary school-aged children at the pool, and it was nice to see them getting along with each other. There were also guests staying at Club Med and Hoshino Resorts, as well as many international travelers, allowing for natural international exchange. There were many visitors from China, Taiwan, Singapore, India, and other Asian countries.

I felt like it wasn't a place to visit in winter. It seems like they have made it easy to get around with skywalks everywhere, and there are buses, but they are not elderly or disabled-friendly. The parking lot is far away. There is no large communal bath, so you have to move around in the snow by bus in winter. It's not a hot spring, so you end up getting cold. The large communal bath in the snow was mystical though. Vending machines and shops charge high prices for drinks and snacks, and there are many foreigners around. There was no organization in lines, preparation, or guidance, so everywhere was chaotic. The two buffets are quite expensive but have high quality! Delicious!

In 1983, 40 years ago from today, it's amazing to think that there was such a splendid hotel deep in the mountains, and I am grateful to be able to return after 40 years. At that time, it was called Alpha Resort Tomamu. I remember taking the Alpha Express express train from New Chitose Airport to Tomamu Station, where a wide bus was waiting at the station to take us to The Tower. The Tower, being part of the Okura group, was simple and elegant. I was impressed by the view of the ski slopes from the window. However, it was so vast that it took time to get anywhere, and the connecting corridors were very cold at night. I have faint memories of eating Genghis Khan and curry at the breakfast buffet in the ski center. The gondola still bears the Alpha name, reminiscent of the past. Tomamu is a place in Japan that I think is definitely worth visiting. It's a place that is sure to be Instagram-worthy. The company that developed this resort in the mountains 40 years ago is amazing. It's a place that you should visit at least once in your life. I had never been here before because I usually only go for photography, but I decided to visit with the local resident discount. For this price, you get access to the beach, a ride on the Sea of Clouds Gondola, and coupons for a truly luxurious experience. The room is on the smaller side, but the view is fantastic. I went early and had the chance to interact with cows, horses, and sheep.

The amount spent per person is the cost per night. After enjoying delicious Jingisukan, we drove through a challenging mountain road to reach our accommodation at Tomamu. The unpaved gravel road was narrow and winding, but we (my husband and I) managed to arrive. The hotel, Hoshino Resort Tomamu The Tower, is a mountain resort with a high-rise twin tower as its landmark. Our hotel experience included a welcome drink at Yuck Yuck, a spacious room with a great view, and a coffee break to relax. We had an early dinner at Altezza Tomamu, bought wine at Tomamu Wine House, and enjoyed fireworks at 8:30 PM. We recommend watching the fireworks from the Yurayura Deck for a great view. We had a late-night snack at Menya Takezou before heading back to our room and falling asleep quickly. The next morning, we woke up at 3:30 AM to catch the shuttle bus to the gondola station and visit the Cloud Terrace at the mountaintop. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sea of clouds due to thick fog. We had breakfast at Mori no Restaurant Nininupuri and visited the ranch on the premises. After checking out at 11 AM, we had lunch at Soup Curry Garaku Tomamu no Mori before ending our stay. Overall, we enjoyed good food, drinks, and laughter, relaxed in nature, and had a fulfilling hotel experience at Hoshino Resort Tomamu The Tower. Thank you for taking care of us!

Since it has been operated by Hoshino Resorts, the quality of facilities and services has improved significantly, making each visit more comfortable. This time, we were welcomed with a free Ramune drink, and there were five colors of free ice bars available all day. The evening fireworks were also beautiful. Tomamu, without inbound tourists, may be considered valuable as an experience that can only be had during certain times of the year. I look forward to using this hotel again in the future.

When you see a towering hotel from the outside, it somehow increases your excitement, and it's also important to enjoy the view from the room. I came to enjoy the resort, but my main focus is still on food. At Hoshino Resort Tomamu The Tower, I didn't have high expectations for the food in the resort area, but I still tried out a few places. I decided to buy the Cloud Sea Highball that I was curious about at the shop on the first floor of the hotel. The Cloud Sea Highball is made with Shiretoko deep ocean water as a base and flavored with Okhotsk salt. While tastes may vary, I personally found it a bit too sweet and would prefer a drier and sharper taste. It has an alcohol content similar to beer. I also visited Yukku Yukku on the first floor multiple times to enjoy the view outside and drink sparkling wine. The sparkling wine was delicious, and the atmosphere was calm and not too crowded, allowing me to relax and have a few drinks, sometimes switching to coffee. In Tomamu, it's important to carefully choose restaurants or you might end up regretting it. I dined at several places this time, and I couldn't help but repeatedly think that the quality of food and service should be improved, and it would be great if the prices in resort areas were more reasonable.

I visited the Hoshino Resort Tomamu The Tower in June 2016 and stayed on the high floor. The view would have been amazing if it had been clear. I woke up at 4 am to see the sea of clouds, but unfortunately, it was foggy and very cold. The breakfast was delicious, and the resort had many facilities to keep guests entertained, although the intervals between facilities were long, making it a bit tiring.
