Today's lunch was at a yakiniku restaurant located a short distance from Takaida Station. I had wanted to visit this place for a while, but had been disappointed twice before, so today was my third attempt. Luckily, it was open this time. I arrived right at 12:00 PM and was able to enter smoothly. First, they brought out frozen cold towels, which was a nice touch on a hot day. I ordered the charcoal-grilled yakiniku lunch set (large) for 1,210 yen. The meat, cut into bite-sized pieces, was mainly hormone meat marinated in sauce. The meat had a good chewy texture, which I enjoyed, but my wife prefers tender meat so she ordered the premium loin as well, which we had grilled with salt. The set also came with daikon kimchi, tofu, wakame soup, rice, and salad. Overall, it was a typical yakiniku lunch set. In my opinion, the quality of the meat and how it is prepared in a yakiniku restaurant's lunch set can give you a glimpse of the restaurant's potential. A place that handles even the scraps of meat well and seasons them skillfully in their lunch sets will likely serve high-quality meat during dinner service. Therefore, it's important not to cut corners in the lunch offerings, as customers may judge the overall quality of the restaurant based on that. In conclusion, today's restaurant, Nishikoen, was average. Thank you for the meal. I wonder where I should go for yakiniku lunch next time.

There seem to be 8 stores in Osaka (listed on Tabelog). The menu composition varies at each store, so I wonder what the relationship is between them. I ordered the Charcoal-Grilled Meat Set, "Niku Dai" (including tax 1210 yen). When asked about the rice portion, I inquired if refills were possible, but unfortunately they were not. I opted for a large serving of rice, which turned out to be quite a lot, equivalent to about 2 bowls. The meat included various cuts like loin, belly, harami, mino, tongue, and tail, providing a enjoyable dining experience. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

▼Location▼ Located on the left side, 350m from the Fuse Yanagidori intersection towards Morikawachi along Yanagidori street. ▼About the restaurant▼ This is a chain of yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) restaurants operating mainly in the Osaka area, with a focus on East Osaka. They also serve lunch, making it a popular spot during the day. ▼Menu▼ For lunch, they offer options like yakiniku rice bowl, charcoal-grilled yakiniku set, kalbi soup set, cold noodles set, and more. In the evening, they have various cuts of yakiniku and side dishes. ▼What I ate▼ ▽Yakiniku rice bowl 770 yen▽ (October 2019) The lunch set includes the main yakiniku rice bowl, soup, salad, and pickles. The thinly sliced beef, cooked with onions in a flavorful sauce, is served on top of rice. The balance of flavors is just right, with a good taste of the sauce and decent quality meat. The combination of beef and rice is delicious. The soup and other sides are simple but tasty. ▼Impressions▼ (October 2019) This is a local chain of yakiniku restaurants mainly found in the Fuse area of East Osaka. Despite being a yakiniku restaurant, they also offer lunch sets at each branch. The Highwada branch, where I visited for the first time, is located in an area with many residential homes and factories, making it a bustling spot during the day. I tried the yakiniku rice bowl, which had a simple yet authentic taste. With the salad and soup included, it was a satisfying meal. I would like to try other lunch options and visit for dinner if I have the chance.

I used to frequent Nishikoen (Kishidado branch) often, but this was my first time visiting for lunch. I've been to Takaida branch a few times, but Nishikoen is known for its delicious salted tongue and harami. It's been about 5-6 years since my last visit, so I happened to pass by and decided to stop in for a nostalgic meal. It was crowded with customers during lunchtime, so I was seated on the second floor and ordered the lunch set. I chose the cold noodles and bibimbap set, perfect for the upcoming season. I like to add plenty of vinegar and finish it all in one go. The grilled meat set with extra portions was also very satisfying. It's been a while since I last visited Nishikoen, but I definitely want to go back for dinner.

I was brought here by an acquaintance for the first time, and it was my first time visiting Risoen. The food is really delicious even without ordering any special dishes. You can feel at ease ordering anything on the menu. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but it's worth it. Unlike touristy places like Tsuruhashi, which are just two stops away, Risoen is much better. It's a restaurant that I don't want to tell too many people about.

Let's have some yakiniku after a long time! We headed to Nishikoen Takaida store in Higashiosaka City. Nishikoen is a long-established yakiniku restaurant with 7 stores mainly in Higashiosaka. The nearest station to Takaida store is Takaida Station on the Chuo Subway Line, but it takes about a 15-minute walk, so access is not very convenient. Even if you come by car, there is no parking lot at the store, but when customers who came by car asked the staff, they said, "You can park in front of the store," so it might be a good idea to ask. However, you will need to park by the roadside. The exterior of the store is clean and based on white. The interior is a calm space with a very clean feeling. The seats and spaces between seats are spacious. There are seats on the 1st and 2nd floors, with only 4 table seats on the 1st floor. The seats are sofas, so you could seat about 6 people if you sit tightly. It is unclear how many seats there are on the 2nd floor. We arrived at 12:00, and 3 seats were already taken, and after us, customers came in intermittently. There were many local customers, including families with small children, elderly couples, and people taking a lunch break from work. The menu includes a la carte options, but there are about 10 lunch menu items, all of which are great deals. I ordered the charcoal-grilled yakiniku set. You can choose between regular and large rice portions. As soon as we ordered, the meat, salad, kakuteki, chilled tofu, and rice were served. There was also a large bowl of wakame seaweed soup that came a little later. Before the meat was grilled, we started with the kakuteki. It's big, not too spicy, and quite delicious. The salad is very crunchy. The tangy Japanese-style dressing is flavorful and very tasty! The meat includes tongue, skirt steak, sirloin, tripe, and oyster blade. It comes with one serving of tok, too. The meat has a good marbling and a decent thickness. There is no excessive fat, and it is very high-quality. The tongue has a good texture, and the more you chew, the more the flavor of the meat spreads. The sirloin and skirt steak are thick but tender, with excellent flavor. Noteworthy is the tripe. Cheaper cuts from all-you-can-eat places are often tough to chew, but this one is easy to chew and very delicious. For other points, please refer to the blog. Enjoying a delicious lunch is a little luxury! ⇒http://sundaylunch.seesaa.net/article/432918297.html

This is an authentic yakiniku restaurant where you can enjoy delicious yakiniku cooked over charcoal grills from lunchtime. Although there is no dedicated parking lot, many people use the free parking lot at the opposite Autobacs store. The yakiniku is well seasoned with sauce and very tasty! In addition to the main dishes, the set also includes salad, kakuteki, and tofu for only 800 yen, which is a great deal! There is also a yakiniku bowl for 600 yen, which is super affordable! If you are looking to avoid the high-end yakiniku restaurants targeted at tourists in places like Tsuruhashi, this is the place to go! The 800 yen lunch menu includes various cuts of meat such as tongue, harami, kalbi, and mino, so you can enjoy delicious yakiniku from lunchtime. If the lunch menu is this good, the expectations for dinner are high!

Hello in August 2015! On the first day of summer vacation, my family and I visited Nishikoen for lunch. They offer a BBQ lunch for under 1000 yen, and the quality of the meat is great because it is charcoal-grilled. It's a great value lunch! They also serve free cold tea in a pot. The BBQ lunch is a great value with a variety of meats like beef tongue, harami, mino, and loin, along with soup, rice, and kimchi, all for 860 yen including tax. I revisited in June 2015 and had the BBQ lunch for 800 yen. It's a really good value lunch, and I added harami and loin which were plenty in quantity. It's a popular lunch among the OLs in the neighborhood. In December 2014, I had the tail ramen which had tail meat with bones included. I also added harami and loin for a luxurious lunch experience. In September 2014, I visited Nishikoen Takaida store for lunch. The restaurant has a modern and clean interior, and the lunch menu is very reasonably priced. The charcoal-grilled BBQ lunch for 800 yen is a great value, and the kalbi ramen set for 1000 yen is also very appealing. The lunch includes cold tofu, daikon kimchi, lettuce and onion salad, sauce, rice, and soup. The soup was delicious, and the variety of meats included in the BBQ lunch like loin, mino, tongue, and harami was impressive. The meal was delicious and a great value for money. Thank you for the meal!

Nari-san's favorite restaurant, Takaida Ramen, is located at the intersection of Fuseshin-dori and Iwayama-kaigan, just a little past the left turn. The white exterior matches the neat interior with tables lined up on both sides. There is also seating on the second floor, and I saw solo female diners and families dining there. The lunch menu includes items such as: - Yakiniku Don (Beef Bowl) 600 yen - Charcoal-grilled Yakiniku Set 800 yen - Kalbi Soup Set 900 yen - Cold Noodles Set 1000 yen - Kalbi Ramen Set 1000 yen - Kimchi Stew Set 1000 yen - Charcoal-grilled Stone Plate Set 800 yen - Stone-grilled Beef Bowl Set 900 yen - Stone-grilled Bibimbap Set 1000 yen - Tail Ramen Set 1000 yen - Yukgaejang Ramen Set 1000 yen - Steak Set 1500 yen * Free extra rice The Yakiniku Set I tried was 800 yen and came with side dishes like cold tofu, kakuteki (spicy cucumber), lettuce and onion salad, and seaweed soup. The main meat included in the set was a luxurious mix of loin, skirt steak, tripe, and tongue. The meats were nicely marbled and had a good chew to them. The tongue had a nice crunchy texture. For 800 yen, it was a satisfying solo yakiniku experience with no greasiness and a good meaty flavor. I wonder if they offer an option for extra meat? I added extra rice for a mountain portion for an additional 60 yen and enjoyed filling up my stomach with the soup poured over it. It was a delicious yakiniku lunch. Thank you for the meal!

After the meeting, we had a yakiniku party! We started with a toast and a vegetable first kimchi platter. The kakuteki was sweet and delicious. The beef tataki and yukke-style meat were cooked just right on the surface. We started with the tongue, then moved on to the lean cuts. The thick boneless kalbi at the end was especially tasty! The meat was grilled over charcoal, giving it a nice smoky flavor. We wrapped the meat in lettuce with sesame leaves. We only had one beer and then switched to wine. The hormone platter included a recommended item called urute, which had a crunchy texture and a rough surface. It was a bit too much for three people! To finish off, we had sweet potato shochu and bibim noodles, which were packed with ingredients and had a chewy texture similar to cold noodles. The sauce was more sweet than spicy. It was a delightful yakiniku experience.

This time, I visited Nishikoen Takaida branch of Nishikoen, a well-known long-established yakiniku restaurant in Higashiosaka. Just like the main branch in Taiheiji, this branch also follows the charcoal grilling style. Among the Nishikoen yakiniku chain stores, this might be the newest branch. It seems like this used to be a yakiniku restaurant called Yakiniku Ichiban, which I had a fondness for since my student days. The old place used a gas grill and had a traditional style with a hood, but the meat, kimchi, and handmade cold noodles were always delicious. However, when I decided to visit after a long time, it had changed to Nishikoen. They have switched from the hood style to a duct system that sucks smoke from the top. The power of charcoal grilling is strong, and there is a lot of smoke throughout, so be careful when visiting for lunch! If you are sensitive to smells, visit the smoke-free roaster type branches like Nishikoen Kandaido or Nishikoen Fuse. The meat, both lean and offal, is of high quality, with lean meat being black wagyu and offal being fresh offal delivered directly from Osaka Minato. The quality of kimchi, especially the Kakuteku (radish kimchi), made with traditional methods, is exceptional. The soup dishes and handmade cold noodles are consistently delicious. However, the offal assortment this time was not great. The tripe was finely sliced for raw tripe, the large intestine was tough, and the red offal was also tough. At 800 yen, it was expensive. I usually don't order offal assortments at yakiniku restaurants because I have the image of getting mostly end pieces or low-quality offal. Other branches in the Nishikoen chain offer a half-size offal assortment, which is very cost-effective, but it seems like this branch doesn't have that option. I recommend Nishikoen Fuse or Nishikoen Kandaido within the Nishikoen chain. Especially at Fuse, you can relax in a sunken kotatsu. The half-size offal assortment is surprisingly good value. It's probably the best in Osaka. Nishikoen is a must-visit long-established yakiniku chain in Higashiosaka. It was nice to have a meal at this nostalgic yakiniku place. Thank you for the meal. m(__)m

I visited Nishikoen Takaida branch for lunch on Sunday. This Nishikoen is a yakiniku restaurant that has 7 branches in the Fusae area. I had been curious about it but hadn't visited until now. The restaurant is located about 400m north of the intersection of Sangyo-doro and Fusayagiri-dori. When I arrived around 11:30, there was a sign saying they were open near the door. However, there was a curtain inside, indicating that they were not fully open yet. I asked the staff and they said to wait a bit longer. After a short wait outside, I entered the restaurant. There is a second-floor seating area, but the first floor has about 16 tables. The interior looks very clean, maybe it was renovated recently. The modern wooden tables give it a unique look for a traditional yakiniku restaurant. I sat at a table and checked the lunch menu. The service lunch menu from 11:30 to 14:00 includes yakiniku don for 600 yen, charcoal-grilled yakiniku set for 800 yen, kalbi soup set for 900 yen, cold noodles set for 1000 yen, kalbi ramen set for 1000 yen, chige hot pot set for 1000 yen, tail ramen set for 1000 yen, and steak set for 1500 yen. I was tempted by the ramen but since I came for yakiniku, I ordered the charcoal-grilled yakiniku set for 800 yen. I'll save the ramen for next time. First, I was served with pickled vegetables, cold tofu, and lettuce and onion salad. Then, a mini-sized stone pot dish was brought out. A bit later, the meat, rice, and soup arrived. The meat included brisket, tripe, tongue, and tongue base. Let the yakiniku time begin! Yakiniku is the most enjoyable when grilling the meat. It's a great stress reliever. The brisket and tongue were delicious. The meat had a rich flavor and a firm texture. The thick-cut tongue had a chewy texture. The other two types, tripe and tongue base, also had a good chewy texture and were tasty. The meat in the yakiniku set seemed to be carefully selected for its chewy texture. It's great to be able to enjoy yakiniku for only 800 yen! Thank you for the meal!

Highly rated by my reviewer, the Nishikoen Group. I came here because I wanted to eat yakiniku and it was the closest place I could find. I had a pot of purple water mixed with oolong tea (was it a service?), bean sprouts chisha (the leaves were sunny style but the shape was chisha), premium salted tongue, salted tail meat, red senmai (this one was on the firmer side), premium loin, and soup. The meat, rice, and soup were all delicious. The only minor issues were that the table grill wasn't wiped properly and the air conditioning was blowing smoke directly at us, making the ventilation hood useless. There seemed to be a second floor where a lively party was taking place. The service staff had a surprisingly loud and cheerful voice, which was rare for a yakiniku restaurant. I quickly finished my meal and the total came to 7150 yen. I think the cost performance is quite good. I usually order the same things at new restaurants, but there were various types of meat available here, making it a place where you can enjoy yakiniku.

In September 2012, I went to a yakiniku restaurant recommended by a business partner. The staff kindly took me to the second floor to avoid the crowded first floor. The meal was enjoyable in the quiet atmosphere. We had a toast with draft beer and ordered assorted items including fresh sea eel and pork loin. The sea eel was delicious and fresh, and the quality of the meat was evident in the flavorful rare pork loin. The staff seemed a bit understaffed, but they were attentive to our needs. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food, and I felt that the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would consider visiting this restaurant again, and perhaps try another branch in the future. Thank you for the meal.

This is the most frequently visited yakiniku restaurant by my family. While Nishikoen Fuse branch seems to be bustling with reviews on Tabelog, the Takaida branch is relatively quiet, perhaps due to its inconvenient location. Almost everything we order, from grilled dishes to side menu items, is delicious without any disappointments. My favorite grilled items are salted tongue, tsurami, and thick-cut loin. As for side dishes, yukhoe and raw liver are great choices, but especially the beef tataki is incredibly tasty with tender meat and rich fat, so I highly recommend it. Personally, I wish the slices were a bit larger, but hormone dishes like akasen and liver are also delicious. The variety of side menu items, in addition to the meat, is another strong point, with desserts like raw chocolate ice cream that kids would enjoy. The prices are reasonable, making it easy for families to dine here. There is a tatami seating area on the second floor, and the seats are spacious in this tidy little restaurant.

I discovered this family yakiniku restaurant near Fukae Bridge through Tabelog because my family didn't like it. The lunch set is a great deal. The meat and sauce are delicious. We usually order additional items besides lunch, so the total cost can add up, but the yakiniku lunch set with extra meat for ¥1000 should be satisfying enough. I highly recommend this yakiniku restaurant. The restaurant has been recently renovated and looks clean. We always bring our baby along, but there are tatami seating available, so we can eat leisurely without any issues.
