Located in the Nishijin area of Fukuoka City, just a 6-minute walk from Nishijin Station on the subway, this new restaurant has quickly become a hit since its opening on October 4, 2021. The restaurant is a branch of the well-known "Nishijin Hajiki" brand in the area, and it is called "Yangki" after the staff member "Yang" from Hajiki who created the Taiwanese cuisine restaurant. The exterior and interior are decorated with neon lights and Taiwanese lanterns, creating an atmosphere that makes you feel like you've traveled back in time to Taiwan. With a first and second floor, the restaurant's high ceiling with Taiwanese lanterns is truly stunning and perfect for photos. The signature dishes we tried were the famous "stick dumplings" and "shumai" which were delicious. The "stick dumplings" had a chewy texture and juicy filling, while the "shumai" was a recipe passed down from the cook's grandmother and was a recommended dish. Both were best enjoyed with Taiwanese black vinegar, Yangki's original sauce, and a touch of homemade spicy oil. We also tried the "plump shrimp steamed dumplings" which were a hit, especially with women and children. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience, and we look forward to trying more Taiwanese dishes on our next visit. Enjoy Taiwan Life!

I made a reservation and went with my daughter. The restaurant was full of young people and foreigners, but the tables were spaced out so we could relax comfortably. My daughter ordered a sour drink, which took a while to come out and looked like a parfait. We ordered various dim sum dishes for our meal. First came the water dumplings, which were smooth and easy to eat. Next was the shumai, slightly salty with a crispy texture that added a delicious accent. The stick dumplings were also easy to eat, enjoyed with a special sauce. The shrimp dumplings and xiaolongbao were chewy with distinct flavors. The chicken karaage was cut with scissors and had a slightly salty taste. The Taiwan-style mixed noodles had a level 2 spiciness, which was moderately spicy. The garlic stir-fried greens were light and well-seasoned. Overall, the dishes were well-seasoned, but the water dumplings, stick dumplings, and garlic stir-fried greens were more mild and easy to eat.

My hometown Nishijin. Before the coronavirus, I used to drink in Nishijin often, but due to my job, to protect the lives of elderly people at high risk of severe illness, going to the downtown area was prohibited, as well as crowded places, dining out, traveling out of the prefecture, contact with people who came from or returned from out of the prefecture within two weeks, and dining with anyone other than those with overlapping episodes such as family members living together. There were many restrictions over the course of three years. Because of the tough and difficult three years, I now realize how valuable it was to be able to freely dine out, meet people, and travel out of the prefecture in private. Rumors had reached me that a delicious Taiwanese dumpling restaurant had opened in Nishijin. However, I couldn't dine out, and my head felt like all my blood vessels were about to burst from holding back the craving. Finally, I obtained a life without restrictions. Taiwanese stick dumplings. Packed with garlic and ginger so spicy that it hits you like a bomb! This pairs perfectly with beer rather than being delicious. The taste I had been enduring for so long was truly the best. The journey to reclaim the three years of the coronavirus pandemic has only just begun.

Nishijin's Nakanishi Shotengai has many longstanding shops, with the most number of stores in the shopping street. Among them, a new addition last year was a Taiwanese dumpling restaurant that exudes an exotic atmosphere. Next to it is also Sueba Hiro Gyoza, specializing in medicinal herb dumplings. Taiwanese Dumplings Yang Kifu Fukuoka City, Sawara-ku, Nishijin 5-8-29 092-832-2400 Chargeable Parking 17:00-23:30, Closed on Wednesdays Yang Kifu Stick Dumplings 10 pieces for 550 yen *5 pieces for 280 yen Taiwanese cuisine like Lu Rou Fan is popular, and recently, it has become more common. Of course, you can enjoy it at this restaurant. The specialty here is the "Stick Dumplings," a famous dish from the Taipei night market. By shaping it into a stick, you can enjoy the crispy texture on the outside and the filling inside! I see, that's interesting φ(..) You can eat it with vinegar soy sauce and Yang Kifu's special sauce, and you can also add homemade chili oil. The special sauce is slightly sweet. Personally, I preferred it with vinegar soy sauce and homemade chili oil. Be careful not to dip too much, as it may affect the unique texture. The owner, who used to work at the famous meat restaurant "Hatsuki," served a dish prepared by Mr. Yang from Taiwan, which was delicious, and decided to open his own restaurant in Japan by adapting it for Japanese taste. I see, that's why it's called Yang Kifu. I love dumplings, so I'm delighted to see new restaurants popping up. #Nishijin Hatsuki #Taiwanese Dumplings Yang Kifu #Taiwanese Cuisine Yang Kifu #Taiwanese Cuisine #Taipei Night Market #Taipei Stick Dumplings #Yang Kifu Stick Dumplings #Tetsu Gyoza #tetsuya720

I thought it was just a trendy izakaya focused on aesthetics for Instagram, but the food was seriously delicious! The recommended gyoza is really tasty! Also, the shrimp chili cheese, mixed noodles, xiao long bao, and tofu are all delicious! I will definitely come back!

I didn't take any photos of the food, but the restaurant was decorated with lots of lanterns, which made it cute and fun. The gyoza and mixed noodles were delicious. It gets really lively when it's full, so I recommend it for a fun dining experience with friends.

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant, as it seems that they are often full and may turn you away if you don't have a reservation. I looked at the menu and ordered the following dishes: Grandma's special Yangxi Siu Mai, famous Yangxi stick dumplings, garlic stir-fried greens, chewy water dumplings, cream cheese soy sauce pickles, and flavorful mapo tofu. Overall, the dishes were quite salty. The mapo tofu was a bit bland, but tasted better with a generous amount of homemade chili oil. The cream cheese soy sauce pickles were the only dish I enjoyed, as I love this type of snack. They seem to have a lot of sour and highball drinks, but not much else in terms of alcohol options. I don't think I will be visiting this restaurant again.

Received items: Taiwanese beer, sour cocktail with ice, sweet and sour pork, shumai, stick dumplings, xiaolongbao, shrimp chili, fried potatoes, mapo tofu, Taiwanese mixed noodles, lu rou fan, etc. I forgot the menu names and prices, but I enjoyed eating and drinking, spending around 5000 yen alone. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant has a high ceiling with beautiful lanterns. The dishes were served quickly and tasted delicious! Highly recommended dishes include "Stir-fried Vegetables," "Shumai," "Stick Dumplings," "Drooling Chicken," "Mixed Noodles," "Large Chicken Cutlet," "Mango Squash," and "Almond Tofu." However, since it is Taiwanese cuisine, young children may find the spices too strong. It's a great place for casual drinks.

It's always bustling. A popular restaurant for people of all ages and genders. It's recommended to make a reservation. Everything I ate was delicious, so I highly recommend this place. This time I sat on the second floor, but the drinks and food came quickly after ordering, which was fantastic. The seating is limited to 2 hours, but surprisingly, it's quite satisfying. Smoking is not allowed inside, but there are ashtrays outside. They also offer takeout, so it might be a good idea to try that when you're short on time.

Reservation is required. It is recommended to make a reservation well in advance as sometimes reservations for the upcoming weekend are already full. There were many young people, but there were also older customers. Since I had made a reservation, I was seated on the second floor where the music was good and the atmosphere was calmer compared to the first floor. The food is cheap and delicious. It comes out quickly, and the service by the staff is also good. There may not be a wide variety of drinks for those who like to drink. However, the atmosphere is great and I really enjoyed it, so I would like to go again.

The taste is not particularly delicious. The location is quite far into Nishijin shopping street. However, the atmosphere inside the restaurant is amazing. It's a place that makes you want to take photos. Surprisingly, there are a lot of seats, including a second floor, but it's always full. Reservations are also hard to come by.

I had made a reservation for the second-floor seating at Yang Xi, a Taiwanese dumpling restaurant in Nishishin, but I was seated on the first floor instead. The staff apologized and offered spicy potatoes as a consolation. We ordered a variety of dishes including stick dumplings, mapo tofu, shrimp chili, Chinese noodles, braised pork, sesame balls, xiaolongbao, saliva chicken, cream cheese soy sauce pickles, shumai, steamed shrimp dumplings, and frozen sours. Everything was delicious, but my favorites were the stick dumplings, mapo tofu, braised pork, and cream cheese soy sauce pickles. I was worried about the star anise, but they were able to remove it, so that was a relief.

We made a reservation for 3 people and visited a Chinese restaurant. We ordered mapo tofu, dumplings, braised pork, boiled dumplings, potatoes, saliva chicken, shumai, and pickled cheese. The food had a Chinese flavor that went well with beer. The spicy potatoes had a solid version of chili oil on top, which made it irresistible. The dumplings and shumai were delicious and easy to eat. The mapo tofu was not very spicy and lacked the taste of Sichuan peppercorns, which was disappointing. Surprisingly, the soy sauce pickled cheese was also delicious.

I went to "Taiwanese Dumplings Yangxi" during my bar hopping in Nishishin. The exterior of the restaurant caught my attention with its flashy appearance. The interior was decorated with cute Taiwanese lanterns, making me feel like I had traveled back in time to Taiwan. We ordered addictively spicy potatoes, stick dumplings, pan-fried dumplings, garlic stir-fried vegetables, Taiwanese sausage, almond tofu, and mango sherbet. We ended up ordering a surprisingly large amount of food for a second stop. The dishes arrived incredibly quickly, and I was surprised by how affordable the bill was. The flavors are tailored for Japanese taste, so even those who are not fans of unique flavors can enjoy it! Thank you for the delicious meal.

After eating at a different place, we moved here. The flashy neon signs outside lured us in, but inside, it was filled with young girls which made the older gentleman slightly uncomfortable. However, the lively atmosphere was enjoyable, the drinks were good, and the xiaolongbao, gyoza, and shumai were all decently tasty. In the end, the pickled vegetables and potatoes were the most popular choices for our second round of drinks (laughs). This restaurant is great, they were very kind to the older gentleman. Thank you very much! Itadakimasu.

I ordered dumplings, shumai, xiaolongbao, etc. The highlights were the dumplings and shumai. This popular Taiwanese restaurant has two floors with many customers. The decorations inside and outside are very nice. The menu is not very extensive, but I think this allows the chefs to focus better. The shumai was delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The dumplings were thin and crispy, but lacked juiciness. The xiaolongbao looked tasty, but were undercooked, with a strong smell of flour. Overall, there are more delicious dishes available. The interior of the restaurant is new and clean. Thank you for the meal!

This is a restaurant I had always wanted to try, but I never went because there was always a long line. However, on this day, there was no line so I decided to go in. Inside the restaurant, there were many beautiful lanterns that people often post on Instagram. I ordered skewered dumplings, boiled dumplings, and more. Everything was surprisingly cheap. The taste was delicious. The drinks were also inexpensive. Since it's in a student area, there were many young customers. Thank you for the meal!

I visited "Taiwanese Gyoza Yangxi" in Nishijin, Sawara-ku, Fukuoka City! I have only seen it on TV, but the atmosphere of the restaurant feels like it belongs in Taiwan or in the world of "Jiufen" or "Spirited Away". The interior is decorated with colorful lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Although the restaurant has recently opened, it has already gained a lot of attention from TV and social media. When I arrived right at opening time, the place was almost full. Luckily, I managed to secure a seat as there were a few available for walk-ins until the reserved customers arrived. The place was bustling even on a weekday during Golden Week. I quickly ordered: Taiwan beer to start, Stick Gyoza (2 servings), Drooling Chicken, and Lu Rou Fan (minced pork rice). The Stick Gyoza, a specialty of the restaurant, was delicious with a light and chewy skin. The dipping sauce and homemade chili oil were amazing. The Drooling Chicken was flavorful with plenty of chopped green onions. The Lu Rou Fan was a must-order for me, and it did not disappoint with its overflowing toppings. The soft-boiled egg and pickled mustard greens inside were uniquely Fukuoka-style. The serving speed was a bit slow, so it might be better to order multiple dishes at once. I would love to make a reservation next time and enjoy a leisurely meal, perhaps on the second floor overlooking the lanterns.

I had seen this restaurant on Instagram and it piqued my interest, so I made a reservation over the phone before visiting. It's located in Nishijin shopping street and has a flashy exterior that is easy to spot! The interior is vibrant and exciting. Ambiance: There are lots of lanterns which is lovely! However, it's too bright! The atmosphere feels lacking, it should be darker in the evening. Food (Ordered for 2 people): Each dish is cheap, so you can enjoy a variety of dishes little by little, which is nice! We ordered a lot! - Appetizer: Like shrimp chips, not tasty at all. - Spicy pickled vegetables: Spicy and delicious! - Saliva chicken: The seasoning is excellent. - Stick dumplings: Juicy and delicious! - Lu Rou Fan: Rice with moon-viewing sauce, small but beautifully presented and delicious! - Xiao Long Bao: Hot and arrived at the table! Full of juicy meat and delicious! - Water dumplings: The soup is also delicious! - Sweet and sour pork: Not tasty, the vegetables are raw. - Almond jelly: Smooth texture, delicious! - Sesame balls: As expected.

It is located a 5-10 minute walk from Nishishin Subway Station. When you enter the shop, you are greeted by photogenic lanterns! Everything was delicious, but the xiaolongbao is highly recommended ( ¨̮ ) It is piping hot and full of juicy meat! The classic stick dumplings and fried rice were also excellent. The cost performance is decent. Next time, I want to try the second floor seating!
