Today I had a job in the vicinity of Segawa in the southern part of Fukuoka Prefecture, so I had an early lunch due to the contractor's schedule. I stopped by Haradaya, a soba and udon restaurant in Omuta City. The place seemed to be popular with many customers. I ordered the large serving of zaru soba and tempura rice balls, which is apparently a classic recommended by the contractor (laughs). The tempura rice balls were small and had small shrimp tempura inside, freshly fried and delicious. The soba was thin and white, with a large serving as expected. It didn't have much flavor, maybe due to the season. However, the texture was good. The restaurant was constantly full of customers, with many people waiting outside. It's a popular place, isn't it?

My favorite YouTuber ate Tempura rice balls here and I suddenly had a craving for it. Despite reading reviews about the restaurant's handling of COVID-19, I couldn't resist and decided to go. I arrived before the opening and there was already a customer with an out-of-town license plate. A female staff member came to inform us that we could enter the restaurant. I chose a different room from the other customer and placed my order as soon as I sat down. I had to wait for about 20 minutes, during which elderly groups started coming in. I couldn't help but wonder if this place was in a country without COVID concerns, just like the information I read. The Tempura rice ball set with small Udon finally arrived. The Udon was not my favorite, but I would recommend it if someone asked for a place to eat Udon around here. I haven't had Tempura rice balls in a while, so I was happy to see it on the menu. Overall, I left the restaurant feeling satisfied. Omuta is known for Oolong tea at Ooriki Tea House, while Segawa is known for Ooriki Udon, making it a strong Udon district. There aren't many Udon restaurants in Omuta, but many places offer Udon on their menu. I was excited to try Tempura rice balls here, but later found out that even convenience stores sell them. I also bought Soba on my way out, but haven't tried it yet. Later, I found out that I could have gotten Tempura rice balls and Soba for a cheaper price at the restaurant. It would have been a better deal, but I only learned this after the fact. The background music was jazz (soft sound).

After eating eel at a boat house and feeling unsatisfied, I decided to stop by this restaurant on the way to Omuta that I had been curious about for a while. I thought I would have some soba noodles quickly. When I arrived, the place was quite popular and there was a wait. The atmosphere inside was crowded and felt "tight". I was a bit unsure about what to do...but then I was told to "write your name over there!" so I wrote my name and waited. Well, the wait was short, just one group ahead of me, so I decided to eat. I had already checked and knew I wanted to try the duck soup soba. I was also curious about the tempura, but since I had eaten eel earlier, I decided to skip it this time. I was led to a sunken seating area, but the space between tables was close and the crowded restaurant felt uncomfortable. The customers were unusually loud, maybe because of the local atmosphere. The noise from the nearby kitchen, washing dishes loudly, was also quite distracting. This was the first time I had been to a restaurant where they made so much noise washing dishes. The energetic older ladies working there seemed a bit flustered due to the busy atmosphere. I was already starting to feel like leaving (sweating). The food arrived without much of a wait, which was a relief. The soba noodles that came out were beautiful more-soba noodles. I first tried the soba noodles alone, and they were quite delicious. The duck soup was a bit on the rich side, but full of flavor and tasty. I can see why this flavor would attract many customers. If only I could enjoy this taste in a quiet atmosphere...it would be perfect. However, since the atmosphere didn't allow me to fully enjoy the taste, I don't think I'll visit again. It's a shame, even though the food was delicious.

Anyway, it's sweet. Sweet. The meat udon is not rich and sweet, just sweet. There's not much meat. It's a bit tough. Not rich in sweet and salty flavor. It's on the refreshing side. But when you chew it, it's delicious. The noodles are not square, but they have edges. They are thin noodles, and compared to other Omuta udon, they have a bit of firmness. The noodles are good. The service is good. The broth is too sweet.

Hi there♪ It's Anna-chan (*☻-☻*)! Today, I went on a drive with my friend Catherine for a Hyena girls' day out♪ We started a bit late in the afternoon and headed to Ookawaterazza in Oogawa City for some soft serve ice cream (@ ̄ρ ̄@)♡ Unfortunately, the autumn cherry blossoms weren't blooming due to the typhoons this year, so we were a bit disappointed. We then tried our luck at the Autumn Cherry Blossom Garden in Kinginari Park, but the flowers weren't looking too great either. It seems like nature had other plans for us this year, so we'll have to wait until next year to enjoy the cherry blossoms. Feeling a bit down, we decided to have an early dinner at Haradaya in Omuta City, as per Catherine's request. It had been years since I last visited this place, but I remembered their delicious tempura from when my Hyena sons were still young. We ordered zaru soba, tempura, and a non-alcoholic beer. Catherine had the tempura soba and her usual ruby drink. I found the zaru soba and tempura nostalgic and satisfying. I couldn't resist ordering the curry udon as well. The udon had a nice chewy texture, and the curry soup had a thick consistency with a slow-building spiciness. It was a bit too spicy for some, but I enjoyed the heat. The meat in the curry turned out to be duck, which I mistook for chicken, so I left it uneaten. Overall, the meal was delicious, and I'll definitely be back to try more dishes. Thank you for the delicious meal! Until next time, adieu♡

The basic meat udon, burdock tempura udon, tempura rice balls, and onigiri are unique around here. I visit regularly.

The duck soba had a delicious broth and the duck fat added a refined flavor, making it very tasty. The tempura shrimp on top of the nori-wrapped rice ball in the temmusu was a nice accent. (lol)
