I made a reservation at a friend's favorite restaurant upon request. It's located in a somewhat hard-to-find place. The narrow alley is lined with intriguing shops. The neighboring Japanese restaurant also looks good. There is only a counter. The owner runs the place alone. They seem to have a variety of wines and sake. There is no menu. They will recommend drinks to match the dishes. This time, I reserved a 5000 yen course through Hot Pepper. The previous customers were two women. One of them seemed to be a regular who is very knowledgeable about wine. The appetizer consisted of 9 small dishes. Although there were various wines available, we started with beer for a toast! Among the small dishes, I particularly liked the smoked whale and tomato with Parmesan. It's nice to be able to enjoy various ingredients with different flavors little by little. The steamed camembert and mozzarella in a teacup offers a blend of Japanese and Western flavors. The meat dish was beef sinew and grilled bamboo shoots. The bamboo shoots allowed us to enjoy the taste of spring. The restaurant quickly filled up with customers without reservations. For walk-ins, it seems there is a 7700 yen (tax included) course. We also had wine after the beer. Despite having only a counter, the calm atmosphere and the opportunity to enjoy various flavors little by little were great. The atmosphere of the alley where this restaurant is located is indescribably nice. There are many hidden gem restaurants like this in the Shinsaibashi area. I would like to come back again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It had been a while since I last visited Ikkiyuu, and I was really looking forward to it. The first appetizer was as beautiful as always! There were various seasonal dishes lined up, all looking so delicious. Just looking at them made me thirsty. They had crab and shellfish prepared that day. It had been years since I last had crab, so I got really excited. They also checked on my stomach's condition and only served a little at a time, which I appreciated. The aroma of the shellfish was irresistible, so I ordered some sake. Lastly, they served a mini ramen made with crab broth! I was completely satisfied this day! I will definitely visit again!

It seems that this restaurant has been in the hidden gem street of Ame-mura for about 9 years now. It's been a while since I last visited the area, more than 10 years actually. Time flies! The owner and chef honed their skills at a well-known Japanese izakaya in Sakai. The seasonal appetizer dishes lined up look so inviting, I can't decide what to try first. The blue cheese chawanmushi and the vinegar citrus soba for the finale were both incredibly delicious. This is a great place, especially for wine lovers.

I was able to discover a favorite type of restaurant after a long time. It had a modern Japanese-Western fusion atmosphere for adults, which was lovely. The small dishes kept coming and coming, satisfying not only the stomach but also the eyes. I chose the course with champagne, and if you make a reservation after 9pm, you can also order a la carte. So I'm looking forward to what the next course will be. The owner recommended the perfect pairing for the drinks, making the meal even more delicious. It seems like a great place for a date or a girls' night out. After enjoying various tastes, the refreshing sudachi soba was the perfect finish, followed by a refreshing dessert, leaving me extremely satisfied. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again!

Located in a narrow alley behind the South Korean Consulate in Nishi-Shinsaibashi, there is a famous shopping street where Oneki Ichiyu is said to be exceptionally delicious. Upon entering, you may be surprised by its appearance - is it a bar, a bistro, or a French restaurant? The owner's attire and the ambience are unique. Ordering omakase, a variety of appetizers are served on a large wooden plate. Each dish is meticulously crafted and reflects a blend of Japanese and Western influences. The small dishes served daily based on fresh ingredients truly showcase the depth of flavors. From the moment you step in, you are in the presence of the owner, Mr. Mukai, who creates a moment of blissful indulgence.

Introduced by an acquaintance, I finally visited the restaurant I had been wanting to go for a long time. The atmosphere was sophisticated and the space was calming. The appetizers were all served in small portions, offering a variety of options. The various dishes were made with seasonal ingredients. For those who enjoy drinking, it's nice to have a variety of small dishes to enjoy as snacks. Since they are served in small portions, you can try a little bit of everything. The dishes were delicious, and the more you ate, the more you wanted to drink. It was a truly blissful time from start to finish. Although it was a short time due to the shortened business hours, thank you for the enjoyable moment. I would love to bring someone else to this place again in the future!

I visited the restaurant by reservation. The place has a hidden gem vibe with a small interior. The dishes served were all elaborate and lovely. There is no drink menu, but the wine selection is extensive, and the master will recommend a wine to pair with your dish. Wine and Japanese cuisine make a wonderful combination, and we enjoyed it deliciously!

I visited this restaurant for the first time by reservation. It's a popular place tucked away in an alley. The interior is small with only 11 counter seats, and it was fully booked. They seem to have a few different courses according to online information, but when I asked the owner, there is a base course and they adjust it to fit different occasions. The owner was handling everything alone, so it's better to go with some extra time. We started with champagne, served in glasses, and the owner also recommended wines to pair with the dishes. The appetizer assortment was served with various small dishes and later some seared sashimi. The base seemed to be Japanese taste. The presentation of the dishes was quite ordinary, which was a bit disappointing. Next came baby corn with pods, a common ingredient nowadays. Then came a unique dish of steamed camembert cheese, which was interesting but a bit too rich. There were supposed to be more main dishes, but I had to leave early due to time constraints. The owner was friendly and the food was delicious, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. Thank you for the meal.

I searched for a restaurant near Shinsaibashi on Tabelog and found a promising one with a low rating of 3.06. However, the reviews were quite positive so I decided to go there. I made a reservation for the Ichiki course (20 dishes for 5400 yen) and arrived at 7 pm as courses were only available until 9 pm. The restaurant had only a counter with 10 seats and seemed to be run by the owner alone. I started with a draft beer and was served 7 appetizers in small dishes. The owner explained each dish but I couldn't remember them all, so please judge by the photos. Each dish was small but delicious, featuring various ingredients like fish, chicken, and beef. Everything was tasty and went well with the drinks. There were 8 customers that day, including us, and the owner managed to serve us efficiently without any delays in ordering drinks. I will likely visit again soon. Thank you for the meal!

It had been about 3 years since my last visit, but the food was still as delicious as ever. There were about 10 people at the counter, and I was a bit worried that the food might be slow since there was only one chef, but it was not an issue at all. The chef managed to serve each dish at a good pace, paying attention to everyone's meal. The wine pairing options were also plentiful, and I would love to visit again in the future.

It's great to be able to taste a variety of elaborate dishes little by little. The dishes served are mainly suitable for drinking. You can also leave it to the master to pair the alcohol for you. Here, I would definitely prefer wine over beer.
