In this current state of emergency declaration, I feel that there are more shops closed compared to before. The restaurant I wanted to visit today had a sign saying "temporary closure", but as I walked around sadly, I found a sign saying "we are serving set meals now". The restaurant was on the second floor. It was past 1 pm, so I asked, "Can I still have a set meal?" and they said yes. It seems that before the declaration, they only operated at night, but now they are open for lunch as well. This area is a lively night spot, after all. The restaurant had a stylish interior that didn't feel like a typical izakaya. When I entered a little after 1 pm, I was the only customer, but soon after, more people started coming in, and it was almost full. They had basic infection prevention measures in place. Unfortunately, the "red snapper head soup" that I wanted to try was already sold out. When I mentioned that I came specifically for that dish, they kindly offered to make it for me, even though it would take some time. I don't know if the person who served me was the manager, but the young staff members were also very polite, so they must have received good training. The "red snapper head soup set meal" they prepared for me (800 yen including tax) was amazing. When it was served, I was surprised by the generous portion. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was excellent. It took about 30 minutes, but it was worth the wait. Another customer ordered the "tile noodles" and even from a distance, it looked like a serving for two people. When it was served, the customer also asked, "Is this for one person?" The "red snapper head soup" had a whole impressive red snapper head, and it was delicious. The sweet and savory seasoning was to my liking, and there was plenty of meat. The salad had a variety of vegetables and was topped with fried onions, showing attention to detail. The side dishes of "carrot and fried tofu simmered dish" and "coarsely simmered dish" were both delicious. They also served "pickled greens" and "simmered vegetables". Rice was refillable. The miso soup had onions and tofu in it, and although it was a bit light, it was perfect to enjoy with the meal. There was no skimping on the food, and I was impressed by the fact that they offered all this for 800 yen including tax. The atmosphere was nice, so I would like to try it for dinner sometime. Please confirm if they are still serving lunch during the current state of emergency when you visit.
