It's creamy, with plenty of sauce. It has a rich flavor. It doesn't feel like the kind of place where an old man comes alone, eats quickly, and leaves. Today's lunchtime has arrived again! So, on this day, I visited "Canada-kan" for lunch. Actually, my work in Kitakyushu City finished at 11 o'clock. Normally, I would have lunch at a restaurant near the work site, but Kitakyushu is a city that has been featured in national news broadcasts. Therefore, I decided to skip the unnecessary lunch near the work site and returned to Munakata City where I found this place. It has a log house-like appearance and is taking proper measures against infectious diseases. This time, I had the "Carbonara for 890 yen including tax." Although it wasn't a large portion, the aroma of cheese was amazing. The dish included bacon, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. I assume they used cheese with a slightly unique flavor, which made it quite delicious. As I looked around the restaurant, I noticed that it was established in 1978, giving it an atmosphere of a long-standing establishment. It was a nice café with a sense of tradition. It's been a while since I visited Canada-kan, a cafe that has been in Munakata for a long time. We arrived around 1 o'clock and managed to get a table. I was all set to order the sizzling Neapolitan, but as I looked at the menu, I changed my mind and went for the Japone hamburger instead! My companion ordered the curry rice set. The Japone hamburger was 1350 yen and the curry rice set was 1310 yen. Both dishes were delicious. We enjoyed our meal in a relaxed atmosphere, sitting on comfortable sofas. Thank you for the meal! I think next time I'll go for the Neapolitan after all.

I visited this restaurant with a lot of curiosity and finally mustered up the courage to go. The interior had a forest-like feel, creating a calm atmosphere. Both the milk crepe and cheesecake were simple yet delicious. The owner, who exuded an English gentleman vibe, engaged in a friendly conversation with me. I was impressed to hear about his grandchild attending a prestigious school. I hope he is doing well, and I look forward to visiting the restaurant again someday.

During work, I sometimes visit this place with my colleagues during the day. This time, I visited at night. Surprisingly, there are still many customers at night. I like the low sofa seats here. I ordered a hamburger, parfait, and coffee. My colleague ordered spaghetti aglio e olio and a cake set. The cost performance is not great, and the taste is not exceptionally delicious, but for some reason, I occasionally feel like coming to this place where I don't interact much with the staff (in my imagination). Although I may not give it a high rating on Tabelog, it is one of those charming places that I will likely visit again.

The Emperor and Empress visited Munakata. It was the last opportunity to see the current Emperor and Empress off. They raised the national flag and then took a break at the long-established coffee shop, Canada-kan, in Munakata. I intended to have coffee, but feeling a bit tired, I craved something sweet and ended up ordering a Coffee Jelly Float. It was a delightful trio of sweet cream, sweet ice cream, and bittersweet coffee jelly. It was delicious. Other customers ordered meal sets like Doria. The food also looked delicious. The atmosphere inside was quiet and I was able to relax and unwind. I will visit again.

The atmosphere was nostalgic and calming. The coffee after the meal was also delicious. The kind master asked how the food was. The wife was also kind, and my heart felt warm. I would like to go back again.

It was my first time in Munakata City and I had no sense of direction, so I used Tabelog to choose this cafe. Although the name "Coffee and Canada House" seemed a bit strange, I was intrigued by the staff's photos on Tabelog. The cafe offered sandwiches and pancakes, perfect for a break. They also had magazines available, so I could relax. Since it's a cafe, there might be smokers, which could be disappointing, but I think the number of smokers is decreasing. Overall, I feel like I discovered a nice place for a break.
