I stopped by this small cafe near Shinsaibashi station to adjust my schedule during my business trip to Osaka. I ordered a cafe latte (large) and a ham sandwich at the counter for ¥540. The entire place allows smoking, which initially bothered me as a non-smoker, but I quickly got used to it. The toasted sandwich was surprisingly good, with a unique flavor not found in chain stores.

Having breakfast in Shinsaibashi. Located in the Shinsaibashi Tokyu Building basement floor directly connected to Shinsaibashi Station on the Osaka Metro. You order and pay at the counter, so it's best to decide on your order before entering the restaurant since there are various menu options. I was drawn to the menu offering curry with coffee for 600 yen. Although they also had a morning menu, I decided to go with the curry. After placing my order and paying, I noticed boiled eggs and decided to get one as well. I paid for it separately. I sat at an empty table and waited for my curry. It was already past 9 o'clock, and there was a mix of people adjusting their time before visiting clients, those who seemed carefree about time, and commuters outside the restaurant. The boiled egg had a soft, runny yolk. When the curry arrived, it was quite a generous portion, contrary to my expectation of a light breakfast. The minimal service provided with the curry felt oddly comforting. If you don't add coffee, it's a one-coin meal, but the curry was surprisingly filling. It had a flavorful blend of spices and richness. It was quite spicy, with visible spices here and there. Mixing it well with the rice, the spiciness seemed just right. Curry and coffee paired surprisingly well. Combining the spiciness with the bitterness of the coffee complemented each other, creating a delicious synergy.

Today, I took a break here♪ I bought business shoes at Daimaru Shinsaibashi store, tried to avoid the crowds as much as possible, wandered around shopping, and then came here(´▽`*) The pudding is served in a silver wheel cup, not on a silver plate, and it costs 190 yen, so it can't be helped(o^-^o) Even if you order an iced coffee, it's 430 yen, so don't underestimate it! When I tried it, it was delicious❗️ The pudding itself is firm with an eggy texture and a moderate sweetness, so tasty! However, it's a shame that there is little caramel. I won't say this is part of the Osaka Metro Pudding Tour, but I'm satisfied with being able to eat delicious pudding at a reasonable price( 〃▽〃) Thank you for the meal♪

Curry rice in L size is available for an additional 100 yen (*´-`). I'm not sure how much extra they will give you since I don't know the normal portion, but the spiciness is moderate and there is a nice hint of sweetness. It has a familiar and easy-to-eat taste, like curry rice from a traditional teahouse. The container for the curry rice is long and narrow, not too big, but the rice is mixed well with the curry. It was delicious and satisfying. After eating, I had an iced cafe latte (*´ω`*) with plenty of milk. Even though the price went up, it's still reasonable. It's self-service, so even though they don't greet you when you return the tray, I understand that the low price makes up for it. I visited Morning Curry at 09:20 at the intersection of Shinsaibashi and Nagahori bridges in the northwest direction. There were no customers, but there was an Uber order. I was able to relax. I had one curry, which was cost-effective. I also had a mini salad with lettuce, onion, and potato salad topped with croutons. The hot café latte with foamy milk was delicious.

I originally planned to get off at Honmachi but ended up getting off at Shinsaibashi, so I decided to go into this cafe nearby. It had 5 counter seats and 12 two-person tables, making a total of 29 seats. The place was run by a woman alone. Even though there were quite a few seats, it had a self-service feel to it. You order and pay first, then they bring your order to your seat. Water seemed to be self-service. I couldn't see the coffee, but I think it was made with a paper drip method. The coffee was quite strong and maybe as bitter as Key Coffee? They also had coffee creamer and simple syrup. The fact that they offer a morning service for only 250 yen in this location seems like a great deal. You can also order a boiled egg as an additional item.

There is a shop near the 3rd exit of Shinsaibashi Station. It opens at 7 am. They serve coffee for 200 yen and it is self-service. Only electronic cigarettes are allowed, but I don't like them. I confirmed that no one was there this time, so I decided to enter. I was attracted by the sign for curry and hamburger. I paid with PayPay and sat down. It took a while, but then the hamburger curry arrived. It was a curry with a thin, runny sauce.

Just a stone's throw from Exit 3 of Shinsaibashi Station on the Osaka Metro. This quaint cafe, which had relocated from Honmachi to Minami-Semba after five years, offers delicious shaved ice. While heading towards Shinsaibashi Station, I stumbled upon a shop that caught my attention. Can you believe it? Curry rice for 300 yen and toast for 80 yen! Such unbelievable prices for this location. Despite already being full from the katsu-don set and large shaved ice, I couldn't resist trying the curry rice for 300 yen. It's a self-serve cafe where you pay at the register, but they bring your curry rice to you when it's ready. It took about 10 minutes for my order to be ready. The curry sauce was flavorful with onions, potatoes, and meat melting into it, reminiscent of the Ceylon curry in Amerikamura, with a thin consistency and a spicy kick that will make you break a sweat as you eat. They also served three pieces of Fukujinzuke and the rice was cooked perfectly. All of this for just 300 yen - incredible!

For lunch that day, I went to Shinsaibashi. Just a few seconds north of the Shinsaibashi intersection on Midosuji, I spotted a cafe sign! "Cafe NOESIS". Today's curry rice is 300 yen! You can even get a large serving for 400 yen! I had to go check it out! The restaurant is located in the basement of the Shinsaibashi Tokyu Building. As you go down the stairs, you'll see the shop on the left. If you keep going straight, it leads to the underground shopping area of Crysta Nagahori. It's a shop directly connected to Shinsaibashi, Yotsubashi, and Nagahoribashi stations. The drinks are also very cheap, starting from 200 yen for iced coffee. Inside the shop, there is a counter in front where you place your order first. I ordered the 300 yen curry rice and upgraded to a large serving for an extra 100 yen. The total was 400 yen! After paying, they gave me a tray with a spoon and directed me to a seat. The curry rice would be brought to me later. The inside of the shop has table seating on the left side. There is also a counter, and I waited at the corner of the counter for a bit. After about 5 minutes, the large portion of curry rice arrived! It's hard to tell from the photo, but it was served in a gratin dish with a decent amount of curry. The curry rice with Fukujinzuke was delicious, with a well-cooked curry sauce. And all this for just 400 yen, what a bargain! I finished the curry rice and left the shop feeling satisfied. The shop operates on a self-cleanup system. As I was leaving, I asked the staff, "When do you offer the curry rice for 300 yen?" To my surprise, they replied, "Every day." It's amazing how they can offer such a cheap price for curry rice every day and still stay in business.

This café located in the underground of Shinsaibashi is more of a traditional coffee shop where you order at the counter. The interior has counter seating and tables, and it's not very spacious. I visited around 5 pm on a weekday and about 60% of the seats were taken. Despite being directly connected to the station, smoking is allowed in all seats. I ordered an iced café latte, opting for size A which turned out to be a standard size, not small. The standout feature of this place is how cheap it is! The iced café latte was only 230 yen, other blended coffees were 200 yen, and even the larger sizes were only 240 yen. They also offer a morning set with toast and coffee for 250 yen. They sell jam and boiled eggs on the side of the counter, like an add-on to your order. There were also cakes displayed in a showcase. A drag queen bar owner in Osaka recently lamented the disappearing cheap coffee shops, and I couldn't help but think this is the kind of coffee shop she was referring to! I definitely want to go back and report it to her.

On the second day in Osaka, I went to a cafe called "Noesis" in Shinsaibashi for breakfast. It is located on the basement floor of Shinsaibashi Tokyu Building, directly connected from Shinsaibashi Station. They offer a morning set menu with toast and coffee for 250 yen, which I found to be quite affordable. I ordered the toast and coffee set, with the coffee size being "A". I also ordered a half-size chocolate cake for 180 yen. The coffee had a strong bitter taste but was enjoyable, and the toast was generously buttered and had a nice salty flavor. The cafe had a retro atmosphere with a few customers at around 9 am on a Saturday. Overall, it was a great find with good value and a satisfying breakfast experience.

At the northwest corner of the intersection of Midosuji and Nagahori-dori, there are two entrances to the B1 building of Shinsaibashi Tokyu Building. You can enter from the subway entrance next to the Max Mara boutique on the first floor. Inside, there is a shop with seating for dining in. You can order and pay first for a hot coffee priced at 180 yen including tax. It seems to be the cheapest in the area. They also offer a fulfilling morning menu. The coffee has a refreshing bitterness. There are various seating options and smoking is allowed near the entrance, but the ventilation may not be sufficient. It seems like they may have made a mistake catering to the many smoking enthusiasts in the area.

I visited this cafe on the upper floor of a building for work. It is a self-service cafe, which is convenient and cheap. There was a constant flow of customers, indicating its popularity. I ordered my usual iced tea (210 yen), added syrup, and stirred it with a straw while passing the time. However, the cafe is located deep underground, which means poor ventilation. As soon as I entered, I felt a stuffy heat and stagnant air, mixed with cigarette smoke. It was tough for me to endure, so I had to leave earlier than expected. Unless you sit near the entrance counter, it's hard to avoid passive smoking in this cafe. I recommend it to smokers.

Morning set for 250 yen! What a nice sound it has. Located in the underground passage on the way to Exit 3 of Shinsaibashi Station on the Midosuji Subway Line, I had seen a sign saying "Morning 250" before and was curious about it. I arrived early for work today, so I decided to stop by. It turns out that 250 includes coffee and toast only. If you add a boiled egg, it's an extra 50 yen, and if you add cheese, it's an extra 20 yen. Of course, as a CP surveyor, I went with the 250 option. First, the coffee came, followed by the toast. It was straightforward and simple. For this location, 250 is cheap! The nearby Hotel Nikko's tea shop charges over 1000 yen for a cup of coffee. I think it's the best position to kill some time. Thank you for the meal!
