Parent-child bowl and udon set. It was hot outside, the nearby curry shop was closed, and the ramen shop had a long line, so I visited here. The parent-child bowl was delicious. The udon broth is a bit light. The noodles are just the right softness. Most people around me were eating somen or zaru udon (lol).

There is a parking lot, but this restaurant is so popular during lunchtime that there is a wait for parking. I had the burdock tempura udon (500 yen) and kashiwa (220 yen). My child had the tempura udon set (940 yen). The udon broth is light and has a sweet flavor. The noodles are hand-made, so there are various thicknesses which makes it enjoyable. The kashiwa onigiri is also delicious with a great broth flavor. They have various types of udon dishes, so I would like to revisit when I crave udon. The person who seemed like the manager is very kind and makes the atmosphere comfortable.

I had the mountain vegetable soba, while my friend had the motsu udon. The boat-shaped condiment holder was cute and got me excited. The soba had the perfect firmness and temperature, and was really delicious. I've had zaru soba in many places, but this one ranks high for me. My friend's motsu udon had a wonderful aroma and looked delicious. They also offer motsu simmered udon on the menu, I'm not sure how they differ but if you like motsu, both might be good options.

We decided to go have lunch at Komadori Udon Tamura branch with two people. I was craving eggs, which are hard to come by at this time of year, so I had already decided before entering the restaurant. I had my usual Tsukimi soba, while my partner enjoyed the Tamago-don. Last year, it was my grandma who used to serve us, but I was a bit worried if she was okay. However, today a young woman seemed to have joined the staff. She was very efficient. The soba broth was delicious, the noodles had a nice texture, and the Tamago-don was flavorful and very delicious.

Visited the restaurant around noon on the weekend, and there were many customers, but no waiting time. Everything was running smoothly. I was looking for Hayashi rice, but it's not easy to find, although CoCo○ has it. I know a place that serves it, so let's go there. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, the shutter was closed because they were closed for the day after getting vaccinated. It seemed like a day of bad luck, so we decided to try a pasta restaurant suggested by my partner, but the parking lot was full. We continued our search for Western cuisine, but the place we wanted to go was also closed. Feeling a bit frustrated, we decided to try a hamburger restaurant, but the parking lot was full again. By this time, it was already lunchtime and we were running out of options. We saw Komadori Udon and decided to give it a try. We confirmed that they also serve rice bowls, and my partner suggested that it should be fine. We parked our car and entered the restaurant for the first time. The staff greeted us warmly, which left a good impression. We sat at a table and checked the menu. I found something I wanted to eat, and my partner ordered the meat porridge, while I ordered the kakiage-don. The dishes were served promptly, but my partner found the meat porridge too salty, and the kakiage-don did not meet our expectations. My yakisoba set meal was visually appealing, but the taste was off-putting due to the overpowering sourness, which made it difficult to discern the other flavors. I added some tempura flakes and shichimi spice, but the unusual sourness persisted. I suggest the kitchen staff should check the seasoning to ensure consistency in taste. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I do not plan on revisiting this restaurant.

Jiro Maru's new ramen shop was closed, so we went to Nonkiya instead. The parking lot was full, but luckily there was one spot available at Komadori Udon. I had the beef and egg bowl with udon, while my friend had the meat udon. The beef and egg bowl was better than the pork cutlet bowl in my opinion. My friend was sweating while eating, as the dish was really hot. It was served in a hot pot, which was too much for me as I have a sensitive tongue. My friend enjoyed it though and said it was delicious!

Fukuoka: A shop in Tamura, Sawara-ku. They were open even before the typhoon hit! I ordered the Meat and Burdock Tempura Udon and the Tamura Shop's original Char Siu Don. The soup, with the sweet flavor of the meat melting out, was delicious! The noodles were chewy with a slight bounce, giving them a satisfying texture. The burdock tempura had a bit too much batter. The Char Siu Don was, well... quite small and different from what I imagined. [Shop Name] Komadori Udon Tamura Shop [Address] 1-11-6 Tamura, Sawara-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture [Business Hours] 10:00-21:00 [Budget] 1000-2000 yen [Order] - Meat and Burdock Tempura Udon: 840 yen - Char Siu Don: 820 yen

I had champon with udon noodles. I thought it would be made with udon soup, but it was actually a white soup! It was stir-fried with sesame oil, which I didn't really like. I thought it would have been better if it was stir-fried with lard and udon soup! It had small squid, clams, and cabbage chunks in it, which made it hard to eat. The inari sushi was delicious as usual! The pork cutlet bowl set was very tasty! Next time I go, I will order udon since it's an udon restaurant!

Located near Sawara Ward, the Dental University, and a sports park. Right next to it is the popular bakery Blue Jam. They have several branches in Fukuoka city, as well as in Naka River City and Miyazaki. The restaurant has a counter, table seats, and a raised seating area. The high ceiling gives it an old house feel. The atmosphere is calming, especially with the grandmotherly staff. The menu offers not only udon but also soba, rice bowls, and set meals. They also have special menu items only available at this branch. I tried the Kitsune Udon, which had three sweet and savory fried tofu slices on top. The noodles were firm, not fluffy, and the broth had just the right amount of flavor. My companion had the Meat Udon, which they always enjoy. After finishing the broth, we were given free kombu to take home. I used it to make a delicious sweet and savory dish. Thank you for the meal!

We visited the restaurant around 11:20 on Saturday with two people. By that time, there were already five groups of customers. The interior of the restaurant had tables in the center and small raised seating areas around it. It seemed like the raised seating areas were the main seating option. I ordered the "Udon Chan" for 730 yen (tax included) and my wife ordered the "Tempura Soba" for 830 yen (tax included) with an extra charge of 120 yen (tax included) to change the soba to 100% buckwheat soba. The Tempura Soba arrived in about 5 minutes. The tempura (2 shrimp tempura) seemed like it had been fried a while ago as the oil was a bit greasy. The buckwheat soba lacked aroma despite being 100% buckwheat. Then the Udon Chan arrived. It was basically like Champon with udon noodles. It had various ingredients like vegetables, clams, small shrimp, squid, pork, and fish cake. The soup tasted like pork bone soup and was delicious. The noodles were slightly thinner udon noodles, smooth and had a good texture. Overall, we enjoyed the meal.

I visited a udon restaurant called "Komadori Udon Tamura" that has several locations in Fukuoka and Miyazaki. The restaurant had a fairly spacious parking lot, and when I entered, I found a large Japanese-style interior. Since I was dining alone, I sat at the counter. Looking at the menu, they offered a variety of items such as udon, soba, rice bowls, and set meals. The prices were reasonable and very affordable. After some consideration, I ordered the "Kakiage Udon for 410 yen" and "Small Rice for 130 yen." The food was served promptly. The rice came with "Harihari Tsuke" and "Wasabi Furikake," which was a nice touch. The udon had a large piece of kakiage with small shrimp inside. The noodles were smooth and soft, typical of Fukuoka-style noodles. The soup was light and delicious, with flavors of kelp and bonito. I also enjoyed sprinkling the wasabi furikake on the rice, which added a slightly spicy kick. I noticed they had other interesting menu items like jumbo rice bowls, so I plan to try those next time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

-Katsukare Udon (Curry Udon with Pork Cutlet) 730 yen (tax included) I visited the restaurant on a holiday and, although I have been here many times before, this is the first time I ordered from the menu, so this is my third record. The Katsukare Udon is a unique, high-calorie hybrid menu that combines curry udon with a pork cutlet. I noticed a curry ramen with pork cutlet on the menu at a ramen shop I visited a few days ago, but I didn't order it at that time. However, perhaps my subconscious hidden desire influenced me to order it this time! In any case, it may seem like I was trying to be fancy, but when I tried it, the curry broth was mildly spicy with a hint of acidity, and the pork cutlet was soaked in the broth. As someone who prefers a more watery curry broth, this didn't leave a strong impression on me. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and finished the meal. Thank you for the meal!

I have used this place many times. Today, I visited with my family on a holiday. I tried a new menu item for the third time. Lately, I have been craving the katsudon dish, priced at 610 yen (tax included). It arrived quickly, as usual. The katsudon had three pieces of pork cutlets, which were not too big but had good quality and no unpleasant smell. I felt that the price was reasonable for the portion and quality. In addition to udon and soba noodles, the katsudon is also a great option for everyday dining for the common people. Thank you, Tanaka Ichiro!

On a family outing during the holiday, we headed here for lunch. This was my second visit. It was crowded during the lunch peak hours, with 80-90% of the seats filled. I ordered their specialty, the Jumbo Bowl for 1080 yen. It's a bowl with a serving size for three people, filled with beef, green onions, Shirataki noodles, and a raw egg on top. The bowl arrived in about 5 minutes, and its visual presentation was impressive with a diameter of around 30cm. While the rice and toppings were a bit unbalanced in quantity, the taste was homely and delicious. This place is a great option for families with growing kids who want to eat out affordably. Thank you for the meal!

Lunch with the family on a holiday. This time we visited a local udon restaurant that has several locations in Fukuoka city. We had been to a different branch before, but this was our first time at this particular one. We arrived around 2:30 pm and there were 2 groups of customers before us and 2 groups after us. We ordered the following: - Kakiage Don (mixed tempura on rice) for 550 yen - Kake Udon (large size) for 390 yen After a short wait, our dishes arrived. The udon had a light bonito broth and the noodles were soft, typical of Hakata udon, and the large size at this price was really great. The Kakiage Don had sakura shrimp tempura with a generous amount of egg and soy sauce topping, which was flavorful and filling. It's affordable, delicious, and generous in portion size, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal. I had a peaceful time today thanks to the outstanding everyday value. I might come back next time to try their famous extra-large bowl. Thank you for the meal!

First visit. Visited with 5 people, and everyone was deciding on the menu one after another, so I was in a hurry. One person said, "I'll have the Tonchinmen!" "Tonchinmen"??? What's that? It's like a Japanese-style ramen, they said. I decided on Tonchinmen too, thinking it would be nice to try something different. As I looked around slowly, I noticed that there were menus with pictures. It said "Tonchinmen" for pork rare noodle, and "Refreshing Char Siu Ramen" for a light char siu ramen. I thought I didn't need char siu, but it was too late (;_:) Noodles in udon soup. The char siu was a light meat with little fat. I felt like I was eating udon, but my friend said it felt like eating soy sauce ramen. It's rare to see gold thread eggs on top. And it's also rare to have wood ear mushrooms and garland chrysanthemum in ramen. Looking at the menu display on the way back (I should've looked at it in the beginning, oh well), there were various menus. There were unusual dishes like the big eater menu with rice bowls. I didn't want to eat them, but I was curious to see them.

Today for the second time, my subordinate and I ordered a katsudon set. The udon noodles arrived first, followed by the delicious katsudon. The katsu was cut into three large pieces, which I found to be just the right size. The amount of rice was also just right.

First visit. I ordered the pork cutlet bowl set for 650 yen plus 190 yen. The udon noodles had a nostalgic scent of kelp dashi. The pork cutlet bowl was quite saucy and delicious. The pickled vegetables were also tasty. Thank you for the meal.
