Making a reservation on your phone allows you to be seated smoothly without waiting. The quick service for ordering with tablets was also impressive. The recommended three-item set for just 100 yen was delicious and reasonably priced. There are various coupons available, making you feel like you got a great deal and leaving you satisfied.

The new coronavirus is spreading, and with a newborn grandchild who is only 2 weeks old due to a home birth, there are no options other than takeout. For dinner on a holiday, we ordered takeout from Hamazushi. My wife and eldest daughter are fans of Hamazushi, but they prefer cheesecake over sushi. We placed the order in the afternoon and picked it up at 7 PM. They separated the seared and cold sushi on a tray for us, which was a nice touch. Wasabi was not included, but they had small packs at the entrance for us to take home. The sushi, priced at 100 yen each before tax, was small but decent in quality. The cheesecake, priced at 200 yen before tax, had a rich cheese flavor that we all enjoyed. We usually get a little extra to share. With the sushi and cheesecake, the total cost for our family dinner was around 2,300 yen.

Today, I got seated right away. I had 3 plates of seafood salad. Shrimp tempura, squid tempura, tuna tempura, and potatoes. I also had pork kalbi mayo. The tempura was freshly fried and only 99 yen, which is a great deal. I recommend the shrimp tempura. The squid tempura was not as good as before, lacking the chewy texture. The potatoes were the popular Ore-Ida crispy ones. They were out of stock at the supermarket recently. For dessert, I had a milk crepe. Overall, it was a good value. Thank you for the meal.

It's been quite a while since I last visited Hama Sushi. I was surprised to see that there were no sushi dishes flowing around. There weren't even rotating lanes. You order using a touch panel, and the dishes arrive smoothly on a two-tiered lane. It's reassuring from a hygiene perspective. The rice portions felt smaller compared to other conveyor belt sushi places. The quality of the fish was decent.

The nationwide conveyor belt sushi chain "Hamazushi". It had been over 4 years since I last visited the store in Shime, Kasuya District. This time, I went to the store in Onojo City. I visited on a Friday because the sushi plates were discounted to 90 yen on weekdays. Hmm, I don't remember the 100 yen plates having this selection. There weren't many options I wanted to eat. I decided to order without worrying about the price. I ordered a raw mackerel and tuna tataki on a 100 yen plate, Hokkaido special scallop wrap, live squid, natural red shrimp, scallop mentaiko, live fatty tuna, and Hokkaido shark flounder on 150 yen plates, and crab tasting on a 280 yen plate. Oh no, were the 100 yen plate options always like this? Both dishes looked unappetizing. The tuna tataki seemed unnaturally smooth, with a slight acidity. The negitoro was so unappetizing that I rarely encounter such a thing. The raw mackerel looked so dull that it made me hesitant to eat it. There weren't many options on the 150 yen plates that seemed worth it. The red sea bream and shark flounder had a mushy texture. The former had decent fat content, which was a slight relief. I used to be satisfied with just the 100 yen plates, but this time, even the 150 yen plates didn't satisfy me. I ended up paying 1430 yen and didn't feel like it was "cheap and okay". There were five types of soy sauce, including ponzu, which was fun, but it was quite disappointing that there was no soy sauce without added flavor enhancers. I was attracted to the "Hokkaido & Tohoku Delicious Food Festival" event, but I wish they had offered more delicious options for the event.

I heard that a ramen shop that went out of business during the pandemic had reopened with a new concept back in February, so I decided to check it out on a day when things had calmed down. Unfortunately, the grand opening was on that very day, causing long lines and traffic jams. I ended up at a sushi restaurant called "Hama Sushi Oonojo Minamigaoka" in Oonojo City, Fukuoka Prefecture. I had dishes like fresh Thai and yellowtail, wasabi engawa gunkan, mackerel pressed sushi, spear squid, duck and onion, seafood salad gunkan, and tekka maki. It was a conveyor belt sushi place, so the food was good and reasonably priced. Overall, I enjoyed the unique items like engawa gunkan and seafood salad gunkan that you can only find at conveyor belt sushi restaurants. Thank you for the meal.

Visited during lunch time on Saturday. This time, I didn't come to eat sushi. There is no conveyor belt sushi here. You order using a touch panel and the food is delivered to your table on a lane. It's not traditional conveyor belt sushi anymore. I had the Kitakata Ramen for 380 yen (excluding tax). The soy sauce-flavored soup had a noticeable amount of oil. The noodles were firm and flat, but they had a slightly unpleasant chewy texture, possibly due to being frozen noodles. The four slices of chashu were unexpected, but since they were half-sized, one bowl wasn't enough. This ramen seemed different from the one I had at "Kitakata Ramen Sakauchi Toyokawa Store" in 2016. I had Kitakata Ramen about 30 years ago in Kitakata, but I don't remember much about it. So, I'm not sure if the Kitakata Ramen at "Hama Sushi" is authentic. It's a matter of preference, but I rated it 3.2 stars as a dish. I also had the American Chocolate Cake for 260 yen (excluding tax). I took it home as a dessert. The cake was rich and quite sweet. The whipped cream wasn't sweet, which helped balance out the sweetness of the cake. It's a limited-time dessert. I will visit again when they have limited-time noodle or dessert menus.

My children love it, so we often go to conveyor belt sushi restaurants. We go to various chain restaurants, but our favorite is Hamazushi. Why? Because not only the sushi is good, but the side menu is also delicious. Especially this crispy cheese potato! It's truly outstanding. If this was available at izakayas, we could easily have three medium-sized beers with just this. By the way, our family consists of two elementary school boys and four people in total. Every time, we order two of these potatoes (laughs)

I revisited the restaurant to try the Umadashi Chicken Salt Ramen and the Rich Gâteau Chocolat that caught my attention last time. I visited on the last day of the Obon holiday, a Sunday, at 7 pm. We were seated at a table without any wait. Since my eldest daughter was driving, I started with a beer to quench my thirst. We didn't plan on having sushi, but ended up ordering two plates as a snack with the beer. We also ordered shochu highball and chicken cartilage karaage (200 yen excluding tax). The sushi is cheap at around 100-150 yen per plate (excluding tax), but the quality matches the price. However, since we didn't come for sushi, I haven't included it in my evaluation. The Umadashi Chicken Salt Ramen (380 yen excluding tax) was served in a small bowl like the rich cold tantanmen I had last time. The toppings included half a soft-boiled egg, chicken breast meat, and green onions. The noodles were similar to the rich cold tantanmen, with a slightly powdery texture due to a lower water content. The soup, however, was disappointing as it tasted like chicken soup adjusted with chemical seasonings. I would recommend the rich cold tantanmen over this. The Rich Gâteau Chocolat (200 yen excluding tax) is said to be directly imported from France. It had a rich chocolate flavor and sweetness, though it was more sweet than elegantly sweet. Still, as a fan of sweet treats, I found it satisfying. I have maintained the same evaluation as last time for the Umadashi Chicken Salt Ramen and the Rich Gâteau Chocolat. My wife and daughter had sushi and ordered dessert as well. With alcohol included, the bill came to 3,310 yen (excluding tax) for the three of us. The Obon holiday is over, and it's back to work tomorrow. With the impact of the typhoon resulting in a 9-day holiday, returning to society might be tough.

I heard from my eldest daughter that the cheesecake at "Hamazushi" is delicious, so I decided to visit the restaurant. Upon entering, I touched Pepper-kun's panel to get a seating ticket and was able to sit at the counter without waiting since it was past 1:30 pm during the Obon holiday. My daughter also mentioned that the ramen is delicious, so I ordered the "Rich Cold Tantan Men" as it was a hot day. Although the portion was small for 380 yen, it came with toppings such as meat miso, white onions, and mitsuba. The soup looked spicy with chili oil on the surface but was not actually very spicy. I sprinkled some powdered sansho pepper on top. The meat miso was plentiful, but the amount of meat used was not much. The dish had a good balance of sweet bean sauce and bean paste, giving it a slightly increased flavor. The noodles had a slightly powdery texture due to a low water content and the portion was small, similar to a half serving of extra noodles. The "Rich Cheesecake" was indeed rich in flavor and worth the 200 yen. I also became interested in trying the Gateau Chocolat. I rated the dishes and value for money as follows: Rich Cold Tantan Men - Dish ☆3.1, Value ☆3.0 Rich Cheesecake - Dish ☆3.3, Value ☆3.4. I gave a service rating of ☆3.3 for the proper allergy labeling on the menu.

There are many major conveyor belt sushi restaurants in this area, among which a weekday 100 yen sushi is offered for 90 yen, attracting many customers. I decided to visit on a weekday because everyone wants to eat as cheaply as possible. I arrived at 11:30 am and Pepper greeted me at the entrance. After operating the touch panel, a seat number tag appeared. I sat at the designated counter seat and ordered using the touch panel. There were only a few customers at this time, so only a few sushi plates were circulating on the conveyor belt. I decided to try the medium fatty tuna, sardine, seared eel, red snapper, and clam soup first before adding more. The sushi plates were brought to me on the conveyor belt, which may be exciting for kids but not so much for adults. The rice on the sushi was loose and fell apart when picked up with chopsticks, making it difficult to eat. I had to sandwich wasabi to keep it together. The sardine lacked freshness, and the seared eel was cold, probably stored after being seared. The medium fatty tuna was unimpressive. The only good one was the red snapper, which had a satisfying texture. I could recommend that one. The clam soup contained 7 clams, one of which was closed, so I didn't eat it. Surprisingly, I didn't add more plates and just finished with this. I was attracted by the 90 yen sushi, but in the end, the cheap price came with compromises.

I was influenced by a TV commercial and decided to visit Hamazushi after a long time. Since it was Sunday night, I expected it to be crowded. I made a reservation online in advance, so I was seated right away upon arrival. The Hamazushi here doesn't have sushi rotating on a conveyor belt! It's all order-based system! Great! And they have a lot more variety of sushi now! You can really see the corporate efforts of Hamazushi!! And it's delicious!! The fatty tuna was excellent. The yellowtail was so-so, but overall, I was very satisfied with the lineup!! I also ordered miso ramen, which was surprisingly delicious!! The gap between my expectations and the taste was so good that I instantly became a fan of Hamazushi. I definitely want to go there again!

Visited at night. The shrimp tempura was delicious and had good value for money. The squid marinated with shiso leaves was also quite good. I always order the potatoes. The seafood salad battleship is a must-try. However, the seared beef tendon was a bit disappointing.

It's the weekend so there are a lot of customers. Today, the voice taking orders was Tanjiro-kun's. Tempura dishes take some time after ordering, but both the shrimp tempura and squid tempura nigiri are delicious when freshly fried. I always end up ordering the sea salad-like gunkan at any restaurant. Today, I had 3 plates again.

This is a shop in Minamigaoka, Ono City. Despite heavy rain on a weekday night, the shop was quite crowded. Orders are placed using a touch panel system, with popular menu items such as sea bream and squid, as well as roast beef and takoyaki that children enjoy. On weekdays, each dish costs 90 yen, which is reasonable. Considering the price, I think the taste is decent.

Recently, a revolving sushi restaurant opened and closed near my place, making it a busy time these days. I tried Hamazushi for the first time. All plates are currently priced at 90 yen each! When I entered the restaurant, it was quite empty even though it was past lunchtime. It felt like a disappointing start. I was seated in a booth and ordered through a touch panel. I ordered clam soup and shrimp tempura udon first. The clam soup tasted very instant and was quite disappointing. The udon was priced low but came in a small portion. The noodles were frozen and had a good texture, but the size was too small. When it came to the main sushi dishes, nothing really stood out. They were decently tasty, but the size was too small and the slices were thin. Overall, the food was so-so, and I would rate it 3 out of 5. However, there are major issues with the system. The orders come on a conveyor belt, and there is a high chance of someone else taking your order before it reaches you. In fact, I almost took someone else's sushi by mistake, and those who don't understand the system might easily do the same. If they don't improve this quickly, it could lead to serious trouble. Hamazushi, are you listening? Thank you for the meal.

A group of five decided to head to "Hama Sushi" together. The restaurant was fairly new and looked clean. They were having a "Big Fatty Tuna and Shellfish Festival" at the time. However, they were disappointed to find that the "Mussel Battleship" was not available on the touch screen menu, even though other festival items were. This was a letdown. The quality of the sushi varied, with items like "Fresh Skipjack Tuna" being decent, but the "Shellfish" items being a bit lackluster. The Oyster Chawanmushi had small oysters, which affected the overall taste. The prices were reasonable at 105 yen per plate (94 yen on weekdays). They did appreciate the variety of soy sauces available. If they were to visit again, they would probably go alone for a quick meal during work hours.

On Sunday night, I arrived just after 5:30 pm to avoid the expected crowds. I was able to eat without waiting. The restaurant is relatively new, so it looks clean and well-maintained. The restroom was also very clean. As a salmon lover, I was satisfied with the delicious toro salmon and grilled salmon. However, the sushi rice was a bit small. It would be nice if the sushi ordered via the touch panel could arrive like on a bullet train. Although there is a voice announcement before the sushi arrives, it is easy to get confused as the plates come down the conveyor belt normally (laughs).
