As soon as you go down the stairs at the south exit of Sakai Station on the Nankai Main Line, you'll find a restaurant called "KAL" where you can enjoy authentic Korean cuisine. The stylish interior plays K-pop music, and you can occasionally hear the sound of trains passing by. This place, located under the elevated tracks of the Nankai Main Line, is popular for its authentic Korean dishes prepared by the owners themselves. The lunch menu is very reasonable, with rice bowl dishes as the main focus, including Bibim noodles and Sundubu sets that come with Kimbap. The Hara mi bowl costs 650 yen and comes with soup and namul. The namul, which is a spicy macaroni salad, is surprisingly delicious. The soup is beef bone soup, although it doesn't have a strong beef bone aroma. The seasoning might be a bit salty for some people's taste. The Hara mi bowl comes in a slightly smaller bowl with plenty of Hara mi meat and cabbage on the side. The sauce has a nice sheen and looks very appetizing. The meat is tender, and the spicy garlic sauce complements the Hara mi meat well. The more you chew, the more you can taste the richness of the meat, making it incredibly delicious. The balance of the sauce and rice is just right, with a deep umami flavor, richness, sweetness, and a hint of spiciness spreading throughout your mouth. The flavor is intense but not overwhelming, creating a perfect harmony between the sauce and rice. This dish is so delicious that you won't be able to stop eating it. The sauce soaking into the rice is also incredibly tasty. While this dish is already incredibly delicious on its own, it would be nice to have some condiments for flavor variation. With this flavor at this price, it's definitely a great deal. The "Hara mi bowl," which makes your mouth happy for just 650 yen, is absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to revisit next time, and of course, I'll be trying the "Hormone bowl." Thank you for the delicious meal.
