Tonkatsu Nakamura at Senrin Daigongu. There were empty seats available. The interior of the restaurant has a casual yet stylish feel, with J-POP playing in a jazz style in the background. The Lin SPF Pork is popular, but since I had it at a different tonkatsu restaurant last week, I decided to order the limited edition Awayuki Pork.
- Awaduki Pork Loin & Fillet Comparison Set Meal (2,750 yen) Ready in 22 minutes.
Salad: The salad comes with a variety of dressings, including Black Truffle Dressing and Sesame Dressing. The Black Truffle Dressing is a standout, with a rich truffle aroma and flavor that elevates the salad to another level. It's delicious! Honestly, I came for the tonkatsu but was blown away by this dressing. It's worth coming here just for this. I found myself munching on the cabbage like a rabbit, finishing it in no time. The Sesame Dressing didn't get a chance to be used.
Tonkatsu: Comes with salt, sauce, and ponzu. The loin tastes best with salt, as it enhances the delicate flavor of the meat and the fluffy coating. The sauce, when mixed with sesame, adds a sweet touch to the tonkatsu, which complements it well. The ponzu, with its light and refreshing taste, doesn't overpower the tonkatsu's richness and is also delicious. I recommend trying them in this order: salt, sauce, ponzu.
The fillet is lighter in flavor, so it pairs well with sauce. I recommend trying it in this order: sauce, ponzu, salt.
The miso soup with burdock and konjac has a satisfying texture, and the combination of the sweetness of tofu and the richness of pork in the broth is superb! It's delicious!
Dessert: Yogurt. Everything was perfect, even the cute staff. No complaints.

I was told it would take a little while, but the food came out surprisingly quickly. I ordered a tasting set of sirloin and ribeye. I usually prefer sirloin, but the ribeye was definitely better! The taste of the meat and the flavor of the fat were both incredibly delicious. The rice and the finely shredded cabbage were also to my liking!

I couldn't forget the taste of Awayuki pork from my last visit, so I came back again. Unfortunately, the Awayuki pork was sold out this time. I had to settle for the comparison set of Lin SPF pork loin and fillet, 140g for 2300 yen including tax. Although not as good as last time, the pork loin had delicious fat and the fillet was tender and satisfying. The truffle dressing was different from what I have at home and it was delicious. I recommend trying it out.

On this day, I planned to go to Tonkatsu no Kuchi to visit Fujii-san, but they unexpectedly closed for the day. I decided to go to Nakamura-san's instead. I had to wait in line for three groups ahead of me, listening to Hyoudou Taiki's radio show for 30 minutes before finally getting seated. I debated whether to get the tasting set or prioritize quantity, and ended up ordering the 210g loin cutlet with extra rice. The cutlet was mostly seasoned with salt, but the most delicious part was actually the salad dressing. I was impressed by the attention to detail in the salad, with the radish cut into pig shapes and the carrot in the pork miso soup.

The tonkatsu here was incredibly delicious. I had the 280g rib roast of Lin SPF pork. It had a unique and pleasant pork aroma, with sweet fat and tender meat that paired perfectly with salt. I tried it with sauce and soy sauce, but it was best with just salt. It was so delicious that it changed my perspective on tonkatsu. I want to go back and eat it again. The service was also good and the atmosphere was nice. Thank you for the meal.

In Shukou City, my partner mentioned wanting to eat tonkatsu, so I searched and found the top hit. Without checking further, we headed there. We arrived at 11:52 and had to wait for 18 minutes (probably third in line) before being seated. I ordered the Lin SPF Pork Loin & Fillet Comparison Set Meal for 2300 yen. It took 27 minutes for the meal to be ready due to the low-temperature cooking. Both the loin and fillet were very tender. The rice portion was small, so I recommend getting the large size. You can enjoy various seasonings like salt, ponzu, and sauce.

I ordered the Awagyu Pork comparison set meal, which includes a 70g loin cut and a 70g fillet cut for 2750 yen at a restaurant in Gunma Prefecture, where only 1500 of these special pigs are circulated annually. The thick cut tonkatsu, with a slight pink color remaining, was easy to chew and had a rich flavor. This was the first time I had ever tasted such delicious pork. I was shocked because I had only ever eaten tough pork before. The set meal also includes rice, miso soup, pickles, salad, and yogurt. You can get a free extra serving of rice. The black truffle dressing for the salad is definitely worth trying.

The restaurant is located about 2-3 minutes from Exit 1 of Senri-Ōmiya Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line. Inside, there are three 2-person tables, one 3-person table, and one 4-person table. I ordered the Lin SPF Pork Loin & Fillet comparison set meal and a single Menchi Katsu. SPF stands for Specific Pathogen Free, meaning the pork used is from healthy pigs. I chose a large portion of rice. The set meal came with rice, miso soup, salad, pickles, and dessert. The set included both Loin and Fillet Tonkatsu. The Loin had a crispy coating with a rich meaty flavor, while the Fillet had a light, tender meat with a gentle taste. They could be enjoyed as is or with the condiments provided on the table. The Menchi Katsu had a crunchy coating with juicy meat inside. Everything was delicious, especially the rice and miso soup. The salad was a refreshing mix of shredded cabbage, purple cabbage, and radish. The dessert was yogurt topped with blueberries. Overall, I was satisfied with the high-quality tonkatsu and look forward to returning for more.

Visited during the daytime of the Bon Festival. Three adults and one child. Opened at 11 am and quickly became full, but we were able to squeeze in at the end of the first round. This restaurant is located in the Senbayashi shopping district and is known for its tonkatsu. The interior and restroom were very clean. We ordered the Awayuki pork loin and fillet comparison set, the cheese and shiso mille-feuille tonkatsu to share, and the fillet cutlet sandwich to share. Everything was ready in 20-30 minutes. The dishes looked delicious, especially the salad with black truffle dressing, which was surprisingly flavorful. The tonkatsu could be enjoyed with sauce, salt, ponzu, or mustard, but salt was recommended. The Awayuki pork had a great natural flavor that could be savored with salt. The tonkatsu was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with a nice sweetness from the fat. The mille-feuille and fillet cutlet sandwich were equally delicious. Everything was perfect and we would love to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Hello ♪ It's Ramen Walking! Today is also Tonkatsu Day! I had the "Hayashi SPF Pork Loin & Fillet Comparison Set Meal" at Tonkatsu Nakamura in Senbayashi. Tonkatsu restaurants are often high-end and require reservations in advance, but I found a place that serves delicious brand pork and is relatively easy to visit without a reservation. I arrived around 6:30 PM after walking through a long shopping street from Keihan Senbayashi-Osaka.

Hayashi SPF Pork Loin & Fillet Comparison Set Meal 2,300 yen
I chose the classic Hayashi SPF pork for the comparison between the loin and fillet. The Chiba brand pork, raised on special feed, had a beautiful contrast between lean and fatty meat. The fatty texture of the pork loin and the firm texture of the lean meat were both excellent! The fillet had a strong rareness and the juices seeped out on the surface, making it visually appealing. The meat was very tender and the umami flavor was rich. I recommend eating it with just salt to fully enjoy the meat's flavor.

Rice, miso soup, salad, pickles, yogurt
For the salad dressing, there were two options: sesame and black truffle. The black truffle dressing was definitely recommended! It had a wonderful aroma and a delicious sweet and sour taste. I liked it so much that I bought some to take home for my family.
I finished the meal quickly and it was delicious! Thank you, Tonkatsu Nakamura! Today's step count: 13,510 steps

The food was so delicious that there's nothing to complain about. Be sure to write your name and phone number on the reservation form so you can explore Senbayashi shopping street. The restaurant will call you to confirm, so you can relax. I tried both the loin and fillet tonkatsu this time, and both were delicious. The breading was excellent, and the meat melts in your mouth. You can enjoy this amazing meal at a reasonable price. Please try it once.

I visited during lunchtime on a regular day. Although it's not a completely reservation-only system, I made a reservation about 3 weeks in advance due to the popularity of the restaurant. When they opened, there were 4 groups of customers and only one table was available. This restaurant is located in the Senbayashi shopping street and is known for its tonkatsu. They have various table seats with a total of 13 seats. The white-themed interior gave a clean and neat impression. I ordered the "Iwachu pork fillet tonkatsu set 140g for 2800 yen". It took about 20 minutes for the dish to be served. The thin batter was crispy and had good oil absorption. The Iwachu pork had a smooth flavor and sweetness without any strong taste. The cooking was even and precise, but personally, I wished it was a bit juicier. There were plenty of condiments on the table, such as two types of dressing, salt, sauce, ponzu, soy sauce, etc. You won't have any trouble changing the taste. The miso soup was full of ingredients and the cabbage was delicious. It truly lived up to its reputation as a popular restaurant with its attention to detail. However, I felt it lacked juiciness and the price was a bit high for my liking. Overall, it was a delightful meal.

There is a tonkatsu restaurant in Senrin. Since there is no parking lot, you need to park at a nearby coin parking. I ordered the Roast and Fillet comparison set of 140g for 2300 yen and the Tonkatsu Don set for 1500 yen. The tonkatsu in the donburi was soft and juicy, very delicious and satisfying. The miso soup is also delicious. The Roast from Senrin SPF Pork was tender and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It's no wonder it's so popular. Thank you for the meal.

I was able to try the popular brand of pork, Lin SPF Pork, in a comparison meal of loin and fillet. The cooking was perfect, with the loin being very sweet and the fillet being tender. Personally, I found the fillet to be easier to eat and more to my liking.

Tonkatsu Nakamura is widely known as a pioneer of tonkatsu in Osaka. Their reputation is built on delicately and carefully fried tonkatsu, particularly supported by the combination of tenderloin and salt. The tenderloin is soft, juicy, yet has a firm texture. When combined with the simple yet refined flavor of salt, it truly elevates the taste to perfection. All of this is achieved through the skilled craftsmanship of the chefs at Tonkatsu Nakamura, who pour their heart into their cooking. The high level of perfection they achieve offers more than just a meal. It touches and leaves a special experience in the hearts of all who visit. Here lies a passion for the enjoyment of food, resulting in the deliciousness that emerges. This is the essence of Tonkatsu Nakamura and the reason for its high acclaim.

When I visited Mr. Noguchi's shop, he recommended their katsu sandwich as delicious, so I had to go try it out. I arrived 30 minutes before the shop opened on a Sunday, and there were already 5 groups ahead of me on the waiting list. I managed to get a table on the first round as there were no reservations that day. I couldn't try the comparison set of hire and loin this time as there was no hire available, but I added a cream croquette instead and had a very satisfying meal. It's recommended to make a reservation in advance if you want to take out a katsu sandwich as it takes an hour to prepare. Sometimes, they may run out of reservations. The shop owner mentioned that the katsu sandwich is best eaten a little later rather than immediately. Unlike other katsu sandwiches that come with mustard, Nakanmura's version does not have any condiments. It has a simple yet delicious taste with a hint of sweetness. When you visit, be sure to try it out! Thank you for the meal.

After work, I suddenly felt like eating tonkatsu, so I went to Tonkatsu Nakamura in Senri Omiya. It's a great place where you can go alone and enjoy both loin and fillet tonkatsu. Although I love Hayashi SPF, on this day I chose the Sanemitsu loin & fillet comparison set for 2600 yen. I asked for a small portion of rice. The set came with rice, cabbage, miso soup, pickles, and yogurt. The cabbage even had a pink pig on it. The tonkatsu had a rough coating and was very satisfying! I should have ordered a normal size of rice. I also took the chopsticks home. Thank you for the meal.

If you want to eat delicious tonkatsu in Osaka, then you must visit Mr. Tonkatsu Nakamura. Despite its appearance as a local fried food shop, its skills are among the best in Osaka. Mr. Nakamura uses different brands of pork depending on the day, but on this day, I chose the comparison of the loin and fillet of Lin SPF. The thickly cut 70g, two-piece tonkatsu, combined with the frying technique, creates a perfect tenderness and juicy texture when you bite into it. The popular brand pork, Lin SPF, transforms into a unique tonkatsu in the hands of Mr. Nakamura. The shining cross-section with crispy coating may be felt delicious in the photos, but when you actually eat it, there is no doubt that ten times the excitement is waiting for you. Mr. Tonkatsu Nakamura is a must-visit restaurant for those exploring Osaka's tonkatsu scene. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Snow pork fillet and loin comparison tasting, 140g with rice. 2850 yen. The amount of rice was just right. The meat was very delicious. In terms of cost performance, it does feel a bit high, but the taste is definitely good. Across the street is Hayashi SPF. If it were around 2000 yen, I would rate it around 6, haha. I thought 140g of meat might not be enough, but surprisingly my stomach was satisfied. Both the fillet and loin were delicious. I prefer loin, so I liked the loin here, but the fillet was moist and tender, and the taste of the meat was to my liking. I think it's a good restaurant.

I visited a restaurant that I was curious about for lunch. The interior of the restaurant is not very spacious, with a few table seats. They offer both takeout and dine-in options. I ordered a comparison of different cuts of pork. The loin was not greasy and easy to eat, while the fillet was light. Both were surprisingly thick but incredibly tender. The breading was thin and not heavy. I understood why many elderly people were purchasing it. It was different from what I had in mind when I thought of tonkatsu. There was a clownfish in the restroom.
