I found a restaurant near the hotel where I stayed that served motsunabe. The motsunabe was delicious and satisfying, but what impressed me even more was the sashimi. The fresh sashimi of horse mackerel and sesame mackerel, taken directly from the fish tank and prepared right away, was amazing! I regret that the spear squid was sold out, but I definitely want to visit again when I go to Hakata!

The sashimi, squid, tempura, and rice were all delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also nice. We chose the all-you-can-drink course, which had good value for money, and we would like to visit again. It was a bit disappointing that we had to sit in a sunken kotatsu table; we would have preferred a regular table.

I made a reservation through Tabelog on the same day. Kirin Lager (medium bottle) 600 yen, sashimi platter 1200 yen, potato salad 590 yen, Amakusa Daio grilled half 890 yen, otoshi (appetizer) 310 yen, pork belly 160 yen, tsukune (chicken meatball) 140 yen, sausage skewer 130 yen, Kan Hokuto 690 yen, and Isosawa 690 yen. The total was 5,940 yen. The potato salad was fragrant and delicious. The pork belly skewers were tender and juicy. The Amakusa Daio grilled dish was a bit undercooked, it would have been better if it was cooked a bit more. The sashimi platter included sea bream, mackerel, and amberjack, but I wish the white fish had a bit more texture. If they had fresh squid from Yobuko today, the rating might have been higher, but overall, it was just an average izakaya.

The food was delicious and cost-effective! The seating mainly consists of private rooms which are spacious, and the speed of service after ordering was very fast. The staff were all lovely with nice smiles. Recommended dishes include sesame mackerel, fresh horse mackerel sashimi, and shrimp and shiso spring rolls. The motsunabe (offal hot pot) offers a choice of soy sauce, miso, or spicy miso soup base to suit your preference. There is a wide variety of alcoholic drinks available, including beer, shochu, and plum wine, all at reasonable prices. The restaurant is located in the office district of Watanabe Street, giving it a hidden gem feel. It was so delicious that I would like to visit again!

I went to the Daimei Yaburekabure Watanabe-dori store on June 10, 2021 (Thursday). This place is located behind the Kyuden Building. The interior of the restaurant has sunken kotatsu-style counter seats and private rooms, creating a very comfortable space. Despite the high-end atmosphere, the lunch menu is very reasonably priced, with most items priced at 690 yen including tax, and free rice refills. I ordered the soy sauce ramen (with furikake rice). The price of 690 yen including tax is very much appreciated. You pay in advance when you order. The meal comes with furikake rice, pickles, and a small side dish. The main soy sauce ramen had plenty of bean sprouts and 5-6 slices of pork belly chashu. The soup had a rich soy sauce flavor with a nice aroma of sesame oil. The noodles had a smooth texture. It was a satisfying meal in a calm atmosphere. The restaurant is located at 2-9-1 Watanabe-dori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Watanabe Street "Daimyo Yabure Kabure" for lunch, located on the 1st floor of a building behind the Electric Building. The izakaya "Daimyo Yabure Kabure" also serves lunch, with a variety of menu options. The interior has a higher-class feel than expected. I sat down, ordered, and paid upfront. It seems they operate efficiently with a small staff. I ordered the thigh meat fried set for 690 yen. It was a mayo-garlic flavored fried chicken with delicious skin and fat. Makes you want a highball. Thank you for the meal.

This is a large izakaya located right behind the Denki Building main building. The last time I used it was at night, almost 5 years ago... I remember coming from Kumamoto and the sashimi was fresh, with even live squid sashimi available. Recently, they started serving lunch, probably due to the impact of the new coronavirus causing the night business to be slow. So, I decided to check out their lunch service. The restaurant has about 100 seats and private rooms are available. I used a private room, which was small and had a TV. I ordered the flounder fry set meal, while my colleague ordered the fried chicken set meal, both priced at 800 yen. There was also a seafood bowl for 900 yen. The restaurant was quiet and not many customers were there. The food was served in about 10 minutes, and payment was made before eating. The flounder fry was not a whole fish but three pieces of filleted and fried fish. It was delicious and came with plenty of tartar sauce. The side dish was a daikon salad, which was quite generous. The miso soup had onions and tofu in it, and was enjoyable. The rice portion was small, but refills may be available (not confirmed). It's close by, so I might come back again.

I stopped by the restaurant on a whim, without any expectations, so my expectations were low. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food was surprisingly delicious and I had a fun time. It made me happy.

The food was delicious and the service was great. I would like to visit again.

When you feel like eating delicious seafood, this is the place to visit! They have a great selection of fresh fish and all the classic izakaya dishes, so we often use it for company drinking parties. This time, I ordered a few of my favorite dishes individually! Among them, the live squid sashimi is always delicious no matter when you eat it. The texture is amazing and the taste is top-notch. The tempura that followed was also delicious, making it a dish that you can enjoy until the end. And the pork sausage, which is a great accompaniment to alcohol, goes perfectly with beer! When you dip it in the mayonnaise that comes with it, it becomes even more delicious. It's almost hot pot season, so maybe I'll go eat motsu-nabe next time!
