When it comes to breakfast in Namba, this place is a must-visit. Although there are many foreign travelers, it's not too crowded. It has a strong Osaka vibe and you can enjoy pressed sushi at a great price! They also have meat skewers. I always go for the meat udon. You can also take the coffee to go, which is great! Not only is the breakfast delicious, but the staff's smiles and service are top-notch and very comforting. Thank you for the meal.

I have stayed at this hotel chain near Tokyo Skytree in Oshiage before, so this time I decided to stay in Osaka city as well! (Daikokucho: opened on December 15, 2013) Recently, it seems that these hotels are increasing all over the country, and a new one will be opening in front of Yokohama Station on February 20, 2018. This one is conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from Daikokucho Station. Check-in and check-out can also be done by machine, which is convenient. At check-in, women can receive a set of makeup water, cotton, and bath salts at the reception. A nice service! The price is in the 14,000 yen range for two people, so it's a good deal. Breakfast is included. The room has a large TV, a desk, a sofa, and is comfortable. The bath is also clean. The room is on the 11th floor, and you can see Japan's tallest Abeno Harukas and Tsutenkaku from the window! Breakfast is on the first floor, and the variety is normal and doesn't feel lacking. They incorporate local ingredients and specialties. There was takoyaki and various types of bread, but this time I focused on Japanese food and put it on my plate. I started with salad, then moved on to side dishes. The miso soup was made with nameko mushrooms. There was also chicken curry, which was delicious! Everyone would be satisfied with the taste. There were also desserts, so I had to try them! My favorite "kinako ohagi" was there, not too sweet and very satisfying. You can also drink coffee at the venue or take it back to your room. I enjoyed drinking it slowly in my room. It was a comfortable hotel. Thank you for the meal.

Morning buffet at Richmond Hotel in Ougoku-cho, Osaka on July 19, 2017 (Wed). I stayed at the Richmond Hotel in Naya-bashi in Nagoya and had a good impression, so I chose to stay at the Richmond Hotel in Ougoku-cho this time in Osaka. The breakfast buffet included Osaka specialties like doteni (simmered beef and konjac), mackerel sushi rolls, and takoyaki. The mackerel sushi rolls were delicious. I finished with watermelon, yogurt, and coffee. It was quiet and peaceful without any noisy Asian tourists, so I could enjoy my meal in peace. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The stay in Osaka this time was at the Richmond Hotel. It was my first time staying at a Richmond hotel in Osaka. About 5 minutes on foot from Daikokucho Station, it was quite close and felt safe at night. There was also a convenience store on the way, which was convenient. The room was comfortable and the bed was cozy. I slept like a log. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable as well. Initially, I thought about going to Namba for breakfast, but I saw that they had local dishes on offer, so I decided to check it out. For 1200 yen, there were 60 items available for all-you-can-eat. I was interested in dishes like mackerel sushi, dotenabe, and takoyaki, but I couldn't eat too much in the morning. I was looking forward to having fresh fruits, but they were not available that day. Instead, I chose canned fruits with yogurt and frozen blueberries. Due to the disappointment, I ended up taking all the bread varieties. The bread was placed on a conveyor belt-like machine to be toasted, which was quite interesting. I also had broccoli and tomato soup, cheesecake, boiled eggs, tomato juice, and coffee. While eating, I sneezed and a staff member quickly brought me a blanket, showing their attentiveness. Because of the convenient location, I would like to stay here again next time.

Let's start the day with a hearty breakfast buffet. I was surprised by the wide variety of dishes available. I filled my tray in order and enjoyed dishes like simmered vegetables and a salad bar. The food made me feel like having a drink even in the morning. Although I didn't take any photos, I even got coffee to take back to my room, with the staff going above and beyond to offer great service. It was a very hospitable morning. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I had breakfast. It was a buffet style, with a similar basic menu, but it seems like they are catering to inbound customers as there were some heavier dishes available in the morning. The seaweed was missing from the salad. The simmered beef was still good. I enjoyed the bundle of white konjac. The pork curry from Richmond was excellent. It had a sweetness to it, but you could still taste the curry flavor. With dishes like fried chicken and mapo tofu, I was able to have a hearty meal with curry in the morning.

I stayed at a hotel near Namba for a business trip and it turned out to be a great choice. The hotel is located between Namba Station and Daikokucho Station, behind the Naniwa Ward Office, across from a large pachinko parlor. The tower parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, but they waived the parking fee even though I arrived before check-in time. This was my first time staying at a Richmond Hotel chain, and while the room was not particularly spacious, it was clean and well-organized with a nice desk and chair setup. The bed was comfortable and the bath was surprisingly roomy for this class of hotel. The TV was large and perfect for relaxing with a partner. They offer a welcome drink in the dining area next to the front desk, where you can also relax and read newspapers. You can even take the drink back to your room. The breakfast buffet was decent, with a mix of Japanese and Western options. I was surprised to see takoyaki (octopus balls) on the menu, which added a local touch. I forgot to take a picture of the breakfast, but it was a pleasant surprise. I'm not sure how many hotels are in this chain nationwide, but I would definitely consider staying at a Richmond Hotel again for my next business trip, after considering Dormy Inn.

This hotel has just opened, so it's super clean. Check-in and check-out are done by machine, so there's no waiting, which is great. The breakfast costs 1200 yen. The plates are really nice, perfect for getting small portions of each dish. There are a lot of different dishes to choose from, like takoyaki, battera, and doteni, which seem to be specialties. My favorite was the butter chicken curry. It had a slightly authentic taste. It's sweet enough for kids to enjoy, but I could eat this alone and be satisfied. The takoyaki is fun to watch as it dances around in the takoyaki maker. The dessert selection is pretty good too. I was disappointed that the battera was dry, but overall, I think it's a pretty good buffet.

Osaka Metro "Ogimachi" Station, 2-3 minutes walk from exit/entrance 1, turn around and take the third right. The bright breakfast venue on the first floor has table and counter seating. You will be given a card for seat use in exchange for a breakfast ticket. The breakfast buffet (tax included 1,300 yen) has a good selection of umeboshi, natto, and roasted seaweed, which is great for those who enjoy Japanese cuisine. After finishing your meal, flip the card over to indicate that you are done and they will clear your dishes in a semi-self-service system.

I used the morning service two days in a row. On the first day, I had dotenabe, and on the second day, I had nikumaki. Both days, there was also mackerel sushi and takoyaki, so I was able to enjoy Osaka's specialties. The salad and Japanese side dishes were delicious, but the bread was a bit disappointing (I love bread).

There is a Richmond Hotel between Daikokucho and Namba, across from a pachinko parlor. I went there when I was starving because they had a breakfast buffet for 1100 yen. They had about 6-7 types of salads, which was nice because they had olive oil you could use. They also had Japanese side dishes, fried chicken, scrambled eggs, and other options for young people. They had rice, miso soup, soup, pickles, and a variety of drinks. It was a typical buffet, nothing amazing, but I was determined to get my money's worth and ended up eating so much I couldn't move for a while. Check out my blog for more reviews! "草草の廃人日記" - you can search for it and find it easily. I would be happy if you could take a look! (^O^)
