The icing on the icing cookie was sweet as expected, but the cookie part was surprisingly delicious. It had a crunchy texture like a cross between a biscuit and a cookie. If there was one near my house, I would definitely use it.

I found it on the way back after having lunch in Iizuka City. I didn't have much cash on me, so I was happy just to be able to buy something. I chose a Gâteau Chocolat for 345 yen (including tax), which is a rich chocolate cake with cocoa, milk chocolate, and plenty of cream baked in. It looked so sweet that I felt my teeth aching just by looking at it. I also got a Mont Blanc for 453 yen (including tax), which was explained to me as a handmade Mont Blanc with candied chestnuts and a smooth cream with hazelnut flavor. The sponge cake was custard-flavored, and the large chestnut had a big smile on its face. I devoured both cakes and immediately fell asleep. I was looking forward to tonight's dinner, but that's not happening now. I hope they appreciate the return favor at home. I didn't expect much even though I brought back souvenirs. Well, let's hope they will be a good accompaniment for my evening drink tomorrow. I can't eat cake, so I won't rate the taste. I've mentioned before that I have no sense of taste, so even if I hear someone's opinion, it won't be reliable. But it's a fact that they seemed to enjoy eating it.

I heard that there is a delicious cake shop along the Katsuragawa ☆ Route 200 in Iizuka City, so I stopped by to check it out~ (#^.^#) It's a road I often pass by, but I never noticed it before (lol) The shop has a pretty fairytale-like atmosphere inside (^_^*) Besides cakes, they also have a wide variety of cookies. I ordered the strawberry shortcake, chestnut Mont Blanc, gateau chocolat, and tiramisu (=^ェ^=) The strawberry shortcake was delicious. The balance of sweetness and acidity in the strawberries was perfect (〃ω〃) And most importantly, the whipped cream was delicious! It had a milky richness without feeling too heavy or greasy (^^) The other sweets were also above average in taste!! I have high expectations for the other desserts too (*´∀`)♪ I will definitely go back again!!

The cream puff was small but sweet with plenty of cream inside. The creme brulee was also sweet and delicious. Overall, I felt that the sweetness was a bit strong.
