I love the spiciness of Shibikara's tantanmen, it suits my taste perfectly. You can choose the level of spiciness yourself. This review is only for the tantanmen. I also had sesame dumplings for dessert. Thank you for the meal. The photo shows the spiciness and numbness both at +1.

I visited during lunchtime. I always used to eat tantanmen. Tantanmen. I used to love it, but recently I feel like the taste has changed. I was debating whether to get soupless tantanmen or not. I ended up choosing the Taiwan-style mixed noodles. And it was a hit! Delicious! The rich sauce was amazing. I also ordered half a mapo tofu rice, and I ended up quite full haha. The mapo tofu rice was also delicious. I think it could be a bit spicier though. I will definitely come back for the Taiwan-style mixed noodles. I had lunch. I tried the spicy miso teppan dish, which was well seasoned and went well with rice. Next time, I plan to try the restaurant's recommended tantanmen noodles. I had the Bikkuri Spicy Miso Teppan Set Meal (regular) for ¥950. I also ordered extra rice for ¥50.

Today, I went to a Chinese restaurant nearby that I found when I searched. It's located on a narrow street, so it may be a bit hard to find. The inside of the restaurant has counter seats and table seats, with plenty of seating available. Customers ranged from individuals to groups. Most of them seemed to be people working nearby. Orders are placed using a touch panel system, but the display format was a bit confusing, especially for first-timers. I ordered the "Tantanmen set" because it was listed as a lunchtime special. You can choose whether you want the soup in the Tantanmen, the level of spiciness, numbness, and between Hakata Ebisu Gyoza or Karaage. It also comes with extra rice at the end. As for the taste, I wish the Tantanmen had a bit more richness. The gyoza was large and eaten with vinegar and pepper, which was delicious. I enjoyed my meal. Thank you.

As the name of the restaurant suggests, you can choose the level of spiciness and numbness. Although they ordered with a spiciness level of 2 and numbness level of 2, they said it wasn't that spicy.

I went to Gyoza Chinese Sakaba Shibikara Tenjin in Fukuoka City, Chuo-ku, Tenjin on February 22, 2023 (Wednesday) for lunch. They had a great lunch menu deal that included options like Dan Dan noodles or soupless noodles with either gyoza or fried chicken, plus extra rice. I chose the Dan Dan noodles with fried chicken and extra rice for 1000 yen (tax included). The Dan Dan noodles had a flavorful soup with a nice kick of spice and sesame aroma. The noodles were thick and chewy, and the meal was very satisfying. The restaurant is located near the Japan Bank on Showa Street, leading to Meiji Street. Overall, it was a great lunch choice with customizable options.

Taiwanese mixed noodles and extra rice for 950 yen. You can choose the level of spiciness and numbness, so I went with slightly spicy and numbing. At the end, you can choose whether or not to add cilantro, and after some thought, I decided to add it. When mixed well, it's not bothersome and serves as a nice accent.

I went to a restaurant in Tenjin, Fukuoka for lunch and tried the Tan Tan Men set that I had been curious about. The lunch set was 1000 yen and it was only available during lunchtime. The restaurant had a cozy izakaya atmosphere with Heisei era JPOP music playing in the background. It was a little past 12 pm on a Saturday and there were a few customers drinking or dining alone. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. The minced meat in the spicy miso sauce was finely ground, and the noodles were thick. When I mixed the soup thoroughly, the sesame flavor, peanuts, and Sichuan pepper created an exquisite taste. I added some white rice at the end and enjoyed it. After finishing my meal, the set also included gyoza, which was large and filled with meat, making me feel full.

Unfortunately, the shrimp chili that I was looking for was not available, but I was surprised to see that they had a collaboration with Bikutei? I'm not sure, but I ordered the spicy miso teppan. I chose a lunch set for 1000 yen, which included the main dan dan noodles, a choice of gyoza or fried chicken, and a bowl of extra rice. I opted for medium spiciness for the noodles and chose the fried chicken. I also ordered a lunch beer for 190 yen, which turned out to be a non-alcoholic draft beer. The food was served together on one tray, with a side of sesame seeds for added flavor. The dan dan noodles had a rich and flavorful soup made from a blend of five types of chili peppers and a secret broth of pork and chicken stock. The noodles were perfectly cooked and paired well with the soup, making for a satisfying meal until the last bite of extra rice.

(2022.09.26) Last June, 'Gyoza Chinese Izakaya Shibikara' opened simultaneously with the Hakata Station store. It is one of the brands handled by the prominent Fukuoka food service company, the Masamasa Group, which used to operate an izakaya called 'Masamasa'. Although the restaurant does not have a strong Chinese theme, with its exterior adorned with vertical lattice and Chinese lanterns inside, it creates a Chinese atmosphere. I visited for the first time today, despite bookmarking it last winter. Located on Mizukagami Niban Street, connecting Meiji Avenue and Showa Avenue, the restaurant has around 60 table seats. I arrived early to avoid the expected lunchtime crowd, so the place was quite empty. However, I imagine it will get busy after 12:00 when more customers start coming in. The ordering system involves using a tablet placed on the table, which was a bit confusing due to the menu layout. With the help of the staff's explanation, I managed to figure it out. I was tempted by the topping options for the tantanmen, such as coriander and green onions, and also wanted to try the famous Hakata Ebisu Gyoza, but I decided to go with the Sichuan tantanmen and a small bowl of mapo tofu rice bowl to keep the total cost under 2,000 yen. I chose level 3 for the spiciness of the tantanmen, which turned out to be moderately spicy, and level 2 for the numbing sensation, which was mild. The mapo tofu rice bowl had a flavorful sauce that seeped into the soft tofu, with a hint of spiciness from the chili oil. The rice was freshly cooked and complemented the dish well, making it a delicious meal.

Lunch in Tenjin. There are many restaurants, but they all get crowded after 12 o'clock. I usually have lunch early, but this day I was late at 12:20. I decided to try "Gyoza Chinese Izakaya Shibikara Tenjin Store" which seemed to have some availability. The restaurant is located in a hidden spot between Meiji Street and Showa Street, a little north of the main shopping areas like Parco and Iwataya in Tenjin. They offer a lunch set called "Dan Dan Noodles Set (1,000 yen, tax included)" with a choice of gyoza or fried chicken on the side. The interior is spacious with both counter and table seats. I ordered the Dan Dan Noodles with a spice level of '2'. The noodles were slightly firm, and the flavor was decent, not too spicy. The gyoza was large and tasty. I mixed the leftover soup with rice at the end. Overall, it was a delicious meal.

Happy Hour is a Chinese restaurant where beer and highballs are half price. Even the gyoza is half price during Happy Hour. On days when work ends early, it's nice to be able to enjoy affordable food and drinks like this. The gyoza is quite delicious, so no complaints there. I definitely want to come back on days when work ends early. Happy Hour is from 5pm to 7pm. Thank you for the meal!

I used it for lunch ^_^ I was drawn in by the name Shibikara and decided to enter! The lunch menu was priced at almost one coin, which was great! There were also many other options besides the lunch menu, so it was hard to decide which one to choose lol But this time, I went with the curry lunch! The fact that you can smoke in the restaurant's tatami room is a big plus! It was just delicious ^_^ The stamp card was also nice!

I had some delicious dumplings. They were piping hot and I enjoyed them a lot. So, I decided to check out their other dishes. The place I visited was "Gyoza Chinese Sake Bar Shibikara Tenjin Store" located just a few minutes walk from Tenjin Station. I ordered using a tablet device to minimize contact. I tried a lemon sour (350 yen) which seems to be popular. I also had the Hakata Ebisu Gyoza (490 yen) which were large and had a distinct coarse pork filling. The seasoning was strong, so they were tasty even with just vinegar. I could eat these with rice. I also tried the Nagasaki Yoshiju Pork Pie (480 yen) which had a crispy coating and a good thickness. It had a numbing kick from the sansho pepper, and even the sauce-soaked green onions were delicious. I couldn't help but keep drinking. For my last drink, I had a Beam Highball (390 yen) which was reliably good. I finished with noodles, the Szechuan Dan Dan Noodles (900 yen), which were as expected. The sesame sauce was rich and slightly spicy. The sansho pepper added a numbing sensation, which I realized I don't really like. I learned that I can't handle the numbing sensation. The dumplings were really tasty. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a restaurant that I often go to for lunch, and tried it out for dinner. The authentic Chinese cuisine was to my liking. They have a variety of dumplings so you won't get tired of them.

It's a shop that is close to the station and has good cost performance. There are several types of noodles such as tantanmen, so I would like to try them next time. The spicy miso teppan had a strong flavor and the rice went well with it!

I ordered from Bikkuri Tei again, but the taste seems to have become bland? Is there less soup? It might just be my imagination, but I am still satisfied.
