It is understandable that they are sticking to 100 yen sushi without raising the prices, but the sushi toppings are terrible. The tuna and salmon are dry and have a rough texture. The red shrimp has no flavor at all, and the sweet potato tempura is just two slices that look burnt. They may be trying to keep the prices the same, but if they are sacrificing the quality of the sushi toppings, it's not really an effort. It seems like they are not trying at all, right?

The pickled squid with addictive sesame and spicy ginger, along with the tender seared mackerel, were incredibly delicious. The condiments added a slightly sweet accent which was great. While I think the quality of the ingredients is slightly lower than other major conveyor belt sushi chains, the creative sushi dishes are delicious.

There are few revolving sushi chains in the center of Fukuoka city, so I drove there after work. It's a shame that I can't drink alcohol because I have to drive. I ordered four plates at the Big Toro Festival where each plate costs 100 yen, and it was slightly more delicious than regular tuna. The fresh squid was the most delicious. The signature menu, Salad Gunkan, was also good. The eel had a slightly muddy smell. The total was 2,410 yen. It's nice that they have kept the prices the same despite various items increasing in price from October.

I have trouble finding Colowide-affiliated restaurants in Fukuoka to use my shareholder benefits. When I visited during late lunch hours on a weekday and asked to sit at the counter, I requested a table instead as it didn't seem like many customers would be coming in at 1:30 pm. I ended up ordering tempura instead of miso soup, which left me with only a salmon sushi set to eat. The taste was average. What was disappointing was that the tempura was mistakenly brought to another customer before being served to me, which made me uneasy given the current situation. In the past, when I worked at a restaurant, any food that left my hands and came back was discarded and a new one was made, which made me even more concerned.

I went to GOTO Eat for a reservation in the 4 o'clock hour, and it was still very quiet, which was nice. During our meal, the restaurant suddenly got busier with customers arriving for the 5 o'clock hour, and it quickly became full. I was worried about the sushi we ordered taking a while to come around to our table at a normal pace, while other tables were getting crowded. The side dishes were covered properly, but the sushi plates came around without covers, which was concerning. I was relieved that we came during the quieter 4 o'clock hour. The side dishes were delicious, but the sushi itself wasn't very tasty. However, kids still enjoy conveyor belt sushi. We also ordered Gacha coins for 150 yen each, which made the kids happy when we left. I recommend ordering Gacha coins if you have kids. Overall, it would be great if they covered the sushi plates.

I tried the popular all-you-can-eat option at Kappa Sushi. To use the all-you-can-eat option, you need to make a reservation through the Kappa Sushi app. Currently, the all-you-can-eat option is only available on weekdays, with 3 types (Regular, Special, Premium), but in Fukuoka City and Onojo City stores, only the Regular course (1,848 yen) is available. In Kokura and Yanagawa stores, you can choose from 3 courses. Once you make a reservation through the app, you will receive an email confirmation that you need to check. When I visited, there was a person who mistakenly made a reservation at a different store but came to the Nagaoka store. The staff can identify which store you reserved by the reservation number. I made a reservation for 2 pm on a weekday and arrived a bit early. I informed the staff, and they promptly seated me at the counter (where the conveyor belt starts). I was given a sheet with photo posting guidelines and a menu. For the all-you-can-eat option, you order everything through a touchscreen, but there is a specific button for all-you-can-eat on the right side of the sushi and noodle buttons, so make sure to select from there. I was advised to be careful not to accidentally order items that are not included in the all-you-can-eat option and incur additional charges. Sushi came smoothly as if ordering normally on a weekday afternoon. There seemed to be fewer chefs working, and I could hear someone working alone, so there were occasional delays, but if you eat the sushi and miso soup that have already arrived, it's not a problem. Depending on your seat, the drink bar may be far away, so it's a good idea to grab a drink before sitting down.

I had lunch at Kappa Sushi for around 1900 yen. Despite my initial reluctance, I couldn't resist the temptation of their sushi. This time, I had a small beer, diluted with hot water, tuna nuggets, fried dumplings, assorted tuna, squid, amberjack, sweet shrimp, and horse mackerel with grated radish rolls. The total came to around 1900 yen, which I found to be a bit pricey for the quality. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the meal and the slight buzz from the alcohol. Overall, I felt grateful for the experience and headed home content. Kappa Sushi never fails to draw me in, much like how I sometimes crave barbecue but end up settling for a convenient option like Yoshinoya.

On this day, my mother and I went shopping and talked about what to eat for lunch. As we were discussing, we happened to pass by a sushi restaurant that caught our eye and we instantly agreed to go in. We had already bought sashimi for dinner, and our food preferences were surprisingly similar. Although there are several Kappa Sushi locations in Fukuoka, this was probably my first visit. While conveyor belt sushi restaurants are generally similar, each one has its own unique characteristics. It was lunchtime on a holiday, but surprisingly we were seated at the counter right away. It seemed that if we had waited for a table for a larger group, it would have taken longer. Due to the timing, there weren't many sushi dishes going around, so we ended up ordering mostly from the touch panel. One thing I noticed that is not often seen elsewhere is the island-style sushi. It's tuna and squid marinated with a little bit of mustard on top. It seems to be from Hachijo Island, but a similar dish can also be found on Daito Island. Many dishes, including red clam and fatty salmon, were priced at 2 plates for 100 yen, so it was a good deal. On the other hand, there were many standard sushi items, and there weren't many unique dishes that made me think, "Oh, I want to try this because it's rare!" I wanted to try the various types of salmon since I love salmon, but I refrained this time because I had bought salmon for dinner. I had about 10 plates, but there were a few dishes that I couldn't identify even after comparing them to the photos and the official website. Also, while it's convenient to order through the touch panel, the sensitivity was not great, and I had to touch it multiple times. I had no issues with using an iPad at other chains, so I hope they can improve the sensitivity. It's not a place I would usually go to, but I was satisfied enough that I would visit again if I had the chance!

We visited this restaurant with our family while we were in the area for some errands. The first floor is for parking and the second floor is where the restaurant is located. There were about 20% of customers around 1 pm. They had a drink bar for soft drinks. They offer all-you-can-eat sushi menu, but it seemed like you need to make a reservation in advance for that. Orders are placed through a touch panel. During the daytime, there weren't any sushi plates moving on the conveyor belt. The miso soup with grilled seaweed was a bit light in flavor. The scallop and matsutake mushroom chawanmushi and other sushi lacked the fish flavor. The dishes ordered through the touch panel were brought to our table by a train-like system, which was convenient. They also had a salt ramen on the menu, collaborating with a famous chef. Perhaps having a few more popular dishes would attract more customers. Overall, it was a good meal.

After updating my driver's license, I stumbled upon Kappa Sushi on my way home. I was surprised to find out that they have stores in Fukuoka as well, and I decided to enter the restaurant. It's great to see a company from Saitama doing well here too. The only disappointment was that the soy sauce was different. They only had the thick and sweet tamari soy sauce at this restaurant. Even at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, I prefer to eat sushi with a sharp and spicy soy sauce. The taste of everything else was the same as what you would find in Saitama (which is obvious). Today, I mainly had squid, salmon, and tuna sushi.

To satisfy my craving for raw fish, I went to Sushiro last week, and this week I was taken to Kappa Sushi. Sushiro was really crowded on Sunday, so we visited Kappa Sushi around 11:30 am and found the atmosphere to be more relaxed, probably because the store is bigger. We shared one piece of sushi each with my husband since it was still early. The ones we enjoyed the most were the baby squid, yellowtail, and fatty tuna. The bluefin tuna was good too, but the regular tuna lacked flavor...well, I guess that's expected at this price point, right? Besides sushi, I decided to be adventurous and tried the foie gras chawanmushi for 300 yen. It came with foie gras on top and a sweet sauce. However, the base chawanmushi underneath was probably just regular chawanmushi with white fish and shrimp. So, the sweet sauce and the base chawanmushi didn't really go well together... The base chawanmushi was tasty though, so I guess my adventure was a bit of a failure haha. Thank you for the meal! Despite it being Sunday lunchtime, there were no waiting customers during our visit. I hope everything is okay...maybe I'm just worrying too much haha.

On holidays, the waiting time is long, but on weekdays, there are plenty of seats and parking spaces, so it's easy to go. It is mostly families who come here, and they prefer dishes made with fresh ingredients and grilled dishes. I always have to order chawanmushi and clam soup! I always get excited about what to eat when I come here.

I visited the nearest conveyor belt sushi restaurant "Kappa Sushi" after its renovation for the first time. It used to be even closer to my previous apartment, but oh well. Conveyor belt sushi restaurants usually have long lines around lunchtime, but not here. It's a bit worrying. I tried the limited-time "Grilled soy sauce seared nodoguro from Yamaguchi prefecture" for 180 yen per piece. It was okay. I also ordered the "Abura soba". The bowl was not so great, kind of like hospital food... If it had some pattern or design, it would change the atmosphere. The noodles were thick and chewy. I thought it was delicious, but my husband was like "hmm". I hope the closest conveyor belt sushi restaurant to my home will do their best! The system of having sushi delivered by Shinkansen is fun, attracting many families maybe? The touch panel was far and my arm got tired.
