I didn't plan to go to this restaurant for lunch, but my Prius wouldn't start due to the strain on the battery from the continuous heavy rain in August. I called JAF for help, but they said it would take about 50 minutes to arrive. I had to wait, and eventually, the engine started after connecting the battery code, but I was advised to replace the auxiliary battery soon. So, I went to the nearest Autobacs, bought a new battery, and also requested an oil change, costing me over 40,000 yen. After being told it would take about 40 minutes, I reluctantly walked to a nearby Uobei sushi restaurant. It was a weekday before 1 pm, and there were hardly any customers inside. I ordered 7 pieces of sushi and a half portion of ramen using a tablet. I didn't have high expectations for the sushi, and when it arrived quickly, I was disappointed by the vinegar mackerel and the overall quality. The ramen, however, surprisingly impressed me with its sweet soy sauce soup, thick egg noodles, pork belly slices, boiled egg, bamboo shoots, and seaweed. I enjoyed the noodles and toppings, finishing them all. Despite the unsatisfactory sushi, I found the ramen to be satisfying.

"Uobei". I have a good impression of this revolving sushi chain. On this day, I visited the store in Dazaifu City. [110 yen plate] Tsubugai, Hokkigai, Maguro tataki gunkan, Hokkaido hotate (1 piece), Ooamaebi, Akagai, Live Hamachi belly toro (1 piece) [154 yen plate] Kanazawa mackerel [198 yen plate] Madai (live) [242 yen plate] Premium sea urchin, Premium kanpachi, Domestic honmaguro chu toro (1 piece) were ordered. First of all, there is a wide variety of sushi toppings which is nice♪ And there are many attractive items on the 110 yen plates♪ Furthermore, the soy sauce with less sweetness is delicious♪ Honestly, the toppings are generally small. But I don't feel the quality is particularly low. The domestic honmaguro chu toro has so much flavor that it feels like seasoning has been added♪ The premium kanpachi was thin like paper but had a chewy texture and a sticky melt-in-your-mouth feeling♪ This also has a strong umami flavor♪ Especially the Live Hamachi belly toro is large, with a crunchy texture that slowly melts away, spreading throughout the mouth♪ The total bill was 1848 yen. Yep, it's cheap♪ I was completely satisfied. What caught my attention was that for some sushi toppings, there was an option to choose whether or not to have wasabi. If that's the case, instead of having customers add wasabi from small packets themselves, wouldn't it be better to change it so that people who want it removed can touch a no wasabi button? Well, aside from that, I recommend it, just barely♪ (^o^)/"

Almost all sushi plates cost 110 yen at "Uobei" in Dazaifu. My partner and I went to a motorcycle shop and decided to have lunch in Dazaifu. We found "Uobei" a little off the main road and were able to walk in without waiting. The ordering system is done through a tablet, and most plates are priced at 110 yen. They offer quality items like tuna, fresh yellowtail, and salmon roe for that price. We also had thick rolled omelette and salad to balance out our meal. The shrimp tempura roll was also a good deal at 110 yen. The only non-110 yen item we tried was the miso shrimp ramen for 352 yen, which had a smaller portion of noodles but was just right. The combination of shrimp and miso flavors didn't seem to match perfectly, but maybe soy sauce would have been better. Overall, we spent 1342 yen for two people, which was a great value for the quality and quantity of food we received. I arrived at the restaurant around 3 pm because I missed lunch due to a busy schedule. The staff at the register guided me to the counter. Instead of revolving sushi, they had a system where you order everything through a monitor and it gets delivered to your lane. They only had one type of soy sauce, which was a bit disappointing for someone who prefers sweeter soy sauce like me. Also, all the sushi was served without wasabi, so you had to add it yourself. I ordered live squid, raw octopus, conger eel, raw shrimp, salmon, ikura gunkan, medium fatty tuna, and premium sea urchin. I passed on the unusual items as they're not to my liking. I also ordered a seafood chawanmushi as a side dish, but they asked me to wait for 18 minutes since it wasn't peak hours. In the end, I had to wait for about 30 minutes (;_;) The staff looked apologetic when they brought it to me and even apologized again during payment, making me feel bad instead. As for the taste, the chawanmushi had plenty of baby scallops and a rich broth, which I personally loved! The sushi had large pieces of fresh toppings and was very satisfying. The luxurious sea urchin had a thick piece on top of a full shari - it was so delicious and melted in my mouth! I was so satisfied that I might not be able to go back to other 100-yen sushi places after trying this one. I would like to try their noodles next time. I definitely plan on visiting again soon. ^_^

Title as it is, recently there are more stores with dedicated lanes for customers to pick up their orders. What to call them, I wonder. This place, too, has been boldly operating as a store with only dedicated lanes since its opening. So, I decided to give it a try. I had tuna, live Hamachi, large red shrimp, raw octopus, Hamachi belly toro, engawa gunkan, shrimp mayo gunkan, and Magutaku roll. Well, it was neither good nor bad, just average for the price, but I particularly liked the two dishes of Hamachi, the gunkan, and the Magutaku roll. Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to sushi, I usually go to Kura Sushi. However, this time we decided to try a different place and stumbled upon a sushi restaurant called "Uobei" which is part of a fairly large company that also operates "Genki Sushi" and "Senryo". It was my first visit to this place. I visited the Uobei Oosano branch in Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The restaurant is located along Route 505 with a large parking lot that can accommodate up to 50 cars. The menu offers a reasonable price range with almost 90% of the sushi priced at 100 yen, and a variety of side dishes. At Uobei, the food is not served on a conveyor belt but is ordered through a tablet provided at each table. The food is freshly made and served within 5 minutes of ordering, ensuring freshness and hygiene. The restaurant has a clean and pleasant atmosphere. I tried various dishes including sea bream, shrimp tempura, shrimp with black pepper, beef, rolled tuna, seafood salad, salmon roe, squid, raw octopus, avocado shrimp, sweet shrimp, grilled squid with spicy cod roe, clam, onion salmon, and seaweed soup. The total bill came to 1836 yen, which was definitely worth the price. Overall, I was very satisfied with the quality and taste of the food at Uobei. It may have slightly surpassed other popular budget sushi chains like Sushiro and Kura Sushi. If you want to avoid waiting, I recommend using the restaurant's dedicated app to make a reservation. It was a great dining experience.

In October, I went to the western part of Fukuoka, passing through the back roads to Nakagawa, Kasuga, and then to Dazaifu. It was getting dark and I decided to have an early dinner. I stopped by Uobei in Dazaifu, Osono, where there were not many customers due to the early hour. I enjoyed some sushi and light side dishes. The side dishes are recommended here! (laughs)

I work in the fishing industry, so I often visit seafood restaurants both in and out of the prefecture. On this day, I stopped by a conveyor belt sushi restaurant that I don't see much around here. It was a new and clean store. I don't eat much, so I chose tuna first. Compared to other major chain stores, the tuna here is definitely bigger! For the second plate, I chose horse mackerel. I was surprised by the size. And all this for only 100 yen! When I ate it, I was surprised to find out that it was raw. I can tell because of my profession (I also asked the staff). If you eat this at a local conveyor belt sushi restaurant, it would cost around 300 yen. I also tried a rare shark tempura, which was light and suitable for frying.

A sushi restaurant where you can order everything through a touch panel. They have unique menu items that you won't find in other conveyor belt sushi restaurants, making it satisfying. You can make reservations through the app, so you don't have to wait in line or wait for a long time. It's a great restaurant.

I always saw the restaurant busy on Sundays, but it wasn't crowded during lunchtime on weekdays. The interior was clean and the service was quick, so the food felt fresh and hygienic. It's recommended for a lunch break during work. Especially the side dish of chawanmushi was so delicious that I wanted to eat it every day.

I'm not good with the touch panel ordering system that has become common lately in food and beverage establishments. I try to avoid such places as much as possible because they are introduced in restaurants to save on labor costs and due to a shortage of staff. On Sunday, I felt like eating sushi, so I called a nearby conveyor belt sushi restaurant to confirm if they had set meals. They had two options, so I decided to go there. It's in Oosano, Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. There are 5 competing conveyor belt sushi restaurants within a 2-kilometer radius. When I entered the restaurant, there were many families and couples eager to eat sushi. I sat at the counter and called a young female staff member to order the set meal verbally since I couldn't use the touch panel. She operated it for me. The set meal I ordered was the Summer Platinum Set for 1090 yen including tax and Seafood Chawanmushi for 194 yen including tax. In this restaurant, the sushi doesn't go around on a conveyor belt. Once you order, it is brought to you on a lane system. The sushi plates arrived quickly. There were 9 pieces of sushi on the plate - raw shrimp, amberjack, seared tuna, sea bream, abalone, steamed shrimp, scallop, salmon, and eel. They were bite-sized with plenty of rice. The size of the toppings was decent for the price. The freshness was average. What surprised me was that there was no wasabi on the sushi, so I had to apply it myself. The scallop was thick and the eel was also generous, but you could tell it was from China. I'm used to eating Chinese products, so it was fine for me. The Seafood Chawanmushi had two smaller scallops, even smaller baby scallops, and four tiny shrimp. There were shiitake mushrooms and kamaboko, but no ginkgo nuts, which was understandable given the price. The individual menu items like horse mackerel and sardines looked delicious, but I need to learn how to use the touch panel soon. It's a convenient place because you can eat at a reasonable price. I have to thank the staff, especially the kind woman who smiled and told me to come again on my way out. I find a charming smile from a lovely woman appealing, but the atmosphere makes me feel like I have to eat quickly, which is a bit uncomfortable.

The restaurant is new and clean. The parking lot is easy to park in. It's a trendy conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The sushi doesn't actually rotate, it comes on a Shinkansen train! Even adults will be happy about this. Orders are placed using iPads provided at each table. Unfortunately, there is only one iPad per table, so it can be inconvenient to share it for ordering. It might actually be more convenient if each table had its own iPad. The menu is extensive and the food is delicious!

I tried "Uobei" for the first time at Forest City near Kasuga Park. It seems that there are now four locations in Fukuoka, and one has opened in Dazaifu as well. This is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant where you order using a touch panel and the dishes come out on lanes. The sushi quality is not noticeably different from other 100 yen sushi chains like Sushiro or Kura Sushi. There were a variety of options, but only a few stood out. I wanted to try some seasonal fish, but there weren't many choices available. The best dish was probably the tanuki udon. I received a 10% discount coupon, but it didn't make a big difference. Overall, it was an okay experience.

Four people were having lunch together and couldn't decide where to eat. Eventually, they settled on a restaurant at a corner, but unfortunately, it was closed. They then decided to go to "Uobei," a new sushi restaurant that opened in September last year. The restaurant is located near Oosano intersection in Dazaifu City, with ample parking space and over 100 seats inside. The interior is bright and clean, with the latest ordering system using tablet devices. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. They ordered a variety of sushi, including a recommended set menu called the "Platinum Set" and seasonal items like the "Spring Shellfish Festival." The prices were reasonable, with options like the "Black Mirugai" and "Loco Shellfish" for 108 yen each. They also tried the "Special Soy Sauce Ramen" for 302 yen, which turned out to be surprisingly delicious. Overall, they enjoyed their meal and found the sushi to be of good quality at a reasonable price.
