Well then, let me take you there too!! This week, I won at the horse races, so Daddy's wallet is warm!! So, I went to Taroyan Honten. I usually go to the yakitori place, but the main store is closer to the kind of place I usually go for drinks. I made a reservation for 5 pm, so it's during the service time♪ The fish dishes are missing though~ (laughs) I often think about how hard they work when I see their business hours. Let's go in without hesitation. The menu looks like this ↓ https://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/fry2567/29888744.htmlI had a Kirin Lager draft beer for 400 yen excluding tax, but during the service time it was 300 yen. By the way, my daughter ordered Calpis, but they gave it to us as a graduation celebration♪ They serve everything separately, so you can enjoy various flavors. I requested the omakase course for 2,000 yen per person, totaling 4,000 yen. I had informed them in advance that my daughter likes fish, so they said they would mainly serve fish dishes. It's nice that they are flexible. First, a sashimi assortment boat platter appeared. I've seen it before, but the large boat platter for banquets is really impressive~ Inside are amberjack, fresh octopus, and tuna. The fact that the octopus is fresh is great~ Especially the octopus from Akashi is amazing~ My daughter challenged raw fish for the first time. She usually eats amberjack and such grilled, so raw is a first. It seems like she struggled with the texture of the amberjack. But she was very satisfied and said it was delicious after finishing. Next is flounder with sesame oil. The mild and flavorful flounder enhanced by sesame oil and salt is delicious. It's a great dish. They grill the collar of the amberjack in front of the store like this. Grilling the collar on charcoal in front of the store is nice. It can also appeal to passersby. However, it would be impossible in the middle of a shopping street or something (laughs). The collar of the amberjack grilled on charcoal appeared. The juicy and flavorful grilled collar is amazing. Surprisingly, it has a lot of meat, so it's very satisfying. The simmered dish is a boiled mebaru fish with konbu. It looks quite dark, but surprisingly it's light. That's because they mainly use konbu dashi and adjust the soy sauce and mirin to not change the flavor. It's light and refreshing, but the deep flavor of the fish can be enjoyed with the aroma of konbu. Fish is always appealing at Taroyan Honten. But I still like this dashimaki tamago the most. "Shall I grill something interesting??" Even though it's not part of the course. If they say that, you have no choice but to ask them to grill it. There seems to be some fins or something. They grilled it on charcoal in a hearty manner. It's actually the belly of a tuna!! But it's not the actual belly, it's the meat next to the belly. The juicy meat of the tuna overflowing with flavor is irresistible. It's like fatty meat, and it goes well with sake. The doteyaki is consistently good. It has a strong flavor, so if you eat this first, it fills you up quite a bit, but it's perfect at this timing♪ During this time, a tempura assortment platter appeared. Inside are conger eel, freshly dug bamboo shoots from Wakayama Prefecture, and Silk Twist sweet potatoes from Chiba Prefecture. The freshly dug bamboo shoots from Wakayama are incredibly sweet!! The perfect freshness and sweetness of the bamboo shoots are wonderful. The Silk Twist sweet potatoes from Chiba Prefecture are made by a person named Sugiyama. They are plump, fine-grained, soft, and have a wonderful subtle sweetness. They are not too sweet, but delicious sweet potatoes are amazing!! The conger eel?? My daughter ate them all, but there was one big one~ My daughter eats quickly, so I couldn't take a photo.
