This is an ice cream shop located on the way from the downtown area of Shikotsu to Cape Kamui. They offer soft serve ice cream and gelato. The gelato comes in a variety of flavors, including sea urchin, but I chose blackberry and mixed nuts. The gelato had large chunks of ingredients, making it delicious and satisfying. You can enjoy your treat while watching pigs, sheep, and chickens outside. Unfortunately, there were no cats around at that time. With many animals around, it's a fun farm to visit.

I stopped by on my way back from Cape Kamui. Some people coming out of the shop were saying it's expensive so they won't buy anything, but since I had come all the way there, I decided to go in. As soon as I entered, even though I was wearing a mask, there was a strange smell. I was wondering what the smell was when my wife told me there was a cat. It smelled strongly of cats, even though they were selling food... The soft serve ice cream was 550 yen, quite expensive. I thought about not buying it and just leaving, but I ended up buying one soft serve ice cream. The soft serve ice cream was very delicious, but the cat smell was too much, so I will never go there again. It's not that I dislike cats, but...

On June 21, 2023, after eating seafood bowl at Shakotan America, I headed to Kamiiso Farm. Was it for gelato? Or the cats? I wonder if they are doing well. When I opened the door, one cat slipped out. The sign read, "Please be careful as the cats may escape." Oh no! I managed to catch the cat and brought it inside. There were a few customers inside, some playing with the cat. As I was deciding what to order, a customer struggling at the door caught my attention. The cat I caught earlier was trying to follow them outside. The owner said, "That cat is fine outside." So there are cats that can go outside and others that can't. Uni gelato! While other flavors were ¥550 (I think), uni gelato was an additional ¥500! The impact of uni price surge is evident even here. I enjoyed my gelato while watching a cat lounging under a car, pigs, chickens, and goats roaming around. It wasn't bad, but not exceptionally delicious either. I might have preferred a more common flavor. Just like the cat earlier, they might be under a car, so be careful when leaving. Shall we go visit the cat again next time?

I came here after seeing a post about cats, chickens, and goats, as well as the highly recommended soft serve ice cream. I bought the soft serve for 450 yen and took a bite - it was amazing! After eating, I played with the cats. Next time I come, I'll try the donuts too!

It's been 3 years since I last visited. There were more animals this time, which was nice. There was only one cat at the shop. I felt a strong animal smell, which might bother some people. I wish there was a bit more cleanliness.

After fishing, I visited this place that caught my attention. When I got out of the car, a cute cat came up to me and greeted me. Inside the shop, three cats were lying down and allowed me to pet them quietly. While being healed by the cats, I bought two types of scones, a chocolate brownie, and chocolate chip cookies as souvenirs. Outside, there were sheep, goats, and chickens, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Inside the shop, they also served egg rice using eggs from these chickens. The chocolate chip cookies were soft and would appeal to those who like Country Ma**m cookies. The scones were classic and slightly sweet. My son finished the chocolate brownie, so I couldn't taste it, but it must have been good. Overall, the portions were generous, and getting four items for 1000 yen seemed like a good deal. I'd like to try the ice cream and egg rice next time.

I had a sea urchin bowl at Tamura Iwataro Shoten on August 30, 2022, and then I visited the place. The kittens born last year have grown big. They are all friendly and some of them will come up to you. The chicken coop that was there last year has been removed and now it looks like a cat cafe. The Black Blueberry Gelato for ¥500 was delicious with its sweet and sour blueberry flavor. It was easy to eat and had just the right richness. They also sell homemade bread and jam, so I'll have to buy some next time. After a few bites, I went outside and ate while watching the goats and chickens. I heard a chicken crowing "cock-a-doodle-doo!" for the first time in a while. It's surprising to hear it not in the morning. The goats were calmly munching on grass. There also seems to be a pig inside the shed. Two cats were outside playing, chasing after sparrows. Be careful when entering or exiting the parking lot as there may be cats outside.

I happened to stop by on my way back from the Shakotan Peninsula. Outside in the field, there was a black pig and some chickens having their mealtime. The pig was eating pumpkin and looked like it was smiling - it was so healing to watch. Inside the shop, there were several cats relaxing. I even saw a cat sleeping in one of the boxes of vegetables for sale - it was quite a sight! I tried the single serving of the strawberry cheesecake flavored ice cream. It was homemade using eggs from the free-range chickens outside, and it was rich, sweet, and delicious. I was told by the handsome foreign owner that they have 12 cats, all of them really cute. This place is a paradise for cat lovers. The parking space is also freely shared with the cats, who are very friendly and may approach your car, so be careful when moving your vehicle.

I heard that Misaki-no-Yu has reopened, so I immediately went for the sea urchin, hot spring, and ice cream course! The atmosphere seemed a bit different even on the way there. I soaked in the hot spring and then went for the ice cream! The ice cream shop had changed, but both the chocolate and rare cheese flavors we ordered were very rich and delicious. There were also tempting chocolate brownies and scones next to the register, so we had to buy them too. It turns out this shop has been here for three years now. I wonder if the taste is influenced by the British owner. A cute and elegant cat greeted us from the parking lot, and inside the shop, there were sofas to relax on. You can also enjoy a meal made with freshly laid eggs from the outside chickens. I definitely want to go back again!

Next year, the beloved hot spring "Misaki no Yu Shakotan" will be closing early, which is so disappointing. Since it will be difficult to visit during the snowy winter ahead, I will try to visit as much as possible before it closes. The spring quality of Misaki no Yu is sodium chloride bicarbonate hot spring (neutral high-concentration hot spring), which warms the body from the core and makes the skin smooth. On the way back to cool down, I stopped by an ice cream shop, but it had unexpectedly changed to a different store. The ice cream was a bit expensive at 650 yen for a double scoop of "caramel" and "vanilla." The "caramel" had a mild sweetness and a bitter caramel syrup flavor. The "vanilla" had plenty of vanilla beans, but the caramel flavor was so strong that the vanilla scent and flavor were hardly noticeable. The restaurant also offers delicious egg rice and pizza. I will definitely stop by again at "Kamui"! Thank you for the meal.

On July 15, 2021, I heard from the manager of Tamura Iwataro Shoten that they were hooked on delicious gelato and recommended it to me. It's a shop located in the middle of nowhere on the way from America to Nozuka. The owner, a foreigner who speaks Japanese that is not yet fluent. When I mentioned that the manager of Iwataro Shoten told me about the place, he smiled broadly and said, "Oh! Thank you very much!" Inside the shop, there are cats, baby chicks, and chickens! People with cleanliness issues might find it a bit challenging. When I asked for a recommendation, he suggested the rum raisin flavor, so I went with that. The raisins soaked in rum were delicious. Creamy gelato! I'm not sure of the exact definition, but isn't this beyond the realm of ice cream? It felt quite mysterious to eat while watching kittens and baby chicks. On July 27, I stopped by again after visiting Iwataro Shoten. The kittens had grown bigger! Two girls were playing with the kittens. That day, almost all items, including rum raisin, were sold out. I was told they were busy preparing more rum raisin, and they showed me bottled rum-soaked raisins. I forgot the exact flavors, but I tried a simple gelato. They also sell fertilized eggs, bread, and other items. It seems like they are still getting the hang of things, but visiting here has become even more enjoyable.
