I visited for a lecture and dinner party. I had a special bento box for lunch. It was not simple and served hot. The tempura was freshly fried with fresh oil. I didn't feel heavy at all. The meal included simmered dishes (shrimp, freeze-dried tofu, shiitake mushrooms, pumpkin, carrots, wheat gluten, minced mackerel, sansho leaves), tempura (shrimp, seaweed, sweet potato, pumpkin, green beans), dipping sauce, sashimi (salmon roe, squid, red fish, shiso leaves, transparent and crunchy seaweed), mixed rice (burdock, deep-fried tofu, carrots, shimeji mushrooms, sansho leaves), miso soup (wakame seaweed), tea (hojicha or genmaicha?). This is an estimate as there was no menu. I would like to try authentic vegetarian cuisine as well.
